He was in the sewers.
It wasn't one of Bob's proudest moments, he'd admit. Then again, it wasn't one of his worst moments either. All in all, it wasn't an ideal situation, but it was doable. He could always make it doable.
The Doberman had made its presence known a block and a half away, giving the Guardian just enough time to get away. Outrunning the large beast wasn't an option, nor was there an available fence or dumpster high enough for him to feel assuredly out of reach from the dog's rather sharp looking teeth. This left him, unfortunately, with the only option of making his escape into the nearby storm drain. Fido growled and barked, while Bob scaled his way down to the bottom of his new underground walkway before looking back up and tossing a sneer in the mutt's direction.
Ah, well.
Finally peeling his gaze away from his dimwitted oppressor, the cat made his way down the dark and damp pathway, mindful to dodge the extra wet spots along the way. A few blocks down and he should probably be clear of the dog's range and could resurface...but he wasn't in any particular hurry, just in case the beast decided to follow him, above ground.

Liryn was in the sewers.
Although on the tabby bobtail's part it was not because of a dog.
In fact the small mauvian was completely unaware of any dogs.
It had been a quiet-ish day on his part and so rather than hang around the apartment he had gone out and about on his wanders.
Wanders with a side of appropriating keeping an eye out for bit and bobs that could be used for tinkering projects...
He hadn't meant to drop the shiny little cog that he was sure would be useful for whatever project that he decided to involve his little paws in, but he had - with the 'shiny' pinging down to drop somewhere down in the sewers.
So what was a cat to do?
If you were Liryn, which he was, then there was only one answer for it - aka find a way down into the sewers so that he could attempt to look for it.Ghouliboo lmk if I need to tweak anything :3

He heard the tiny ping at first, followed by the echoing clang and ting sounds that came with it as something fell down a sewer grate into his new underground world of soggy stink. Whatever it was, it was small and made loud, metallic sounds that reverberated against the concrete beneath the city.
He paused in his leisurely gait, eyes narrowing as he attempted to spot the source of all the noise and clamor up ahead. Instead, what caught his eye was the creature that was climbing his way down and after the piece of noise. At first, he assumed it was just a curious kitten - an unfortunate dim little guy who had chased after a shiny object and was about to be in over his head in trouble after discovering his mistake.
No - wait.
The star was the first to be seen, the sunlight peering through the grate and giving the kitten an aura of brightness around him in an otherwise darkened environment. This was no normal kitten - this was an intelligent cat. Another Guardian, in fact.
Two Guardians in the middle of the sewer system of Destiny City.
"I think it's safe to assume that you're the cause of all the racket?"
His voice was cheerful as he called out, the tone echoing through the tunnel as he made his way closer to the smaller cat.

Focused as he was on trying to track down his shiny cog, Liryn missed the small spark of chill chaos aura.
Although to be honest there was a chance that even if he hadn't been distracted by cog hunting that he would have missed the other cat's aura.
Because mauvian auras - whilst not entirely absent - were not the most noticeable of things...
At least not when said mauvian was in cat form.
But whilst he may have missed the aura, it would have been pretty hard to miss the voice, his purplish eyes taking in the approaching cat as he admitted cheerfully "Yep that was me. You wouldn't happen to have noticed a cog by..."
His voice trailed off as his purplish eyes glanced higher, eyes taking in the dark star set upon the approaching cat's forehead at the same time as the flicker of aura registered.
Because the aura wasn't an order one...
And that meant that this particular mauvian served the Negaverse.

"...by where?"
The kitten's voice had trailed off as his eyes settled on Bob and the orange tom cat had a fairly good hunch as to why his words had silenced themselves. Tiny eyes fell on the dark star planted between his green eyes, declaring his allegiance for all the world to see.
"I ain't gonna hurt you, kid."
Teasing little Order cats could have been a fun way to waste the afternoon away, but Bob wasn't in a teasing mood. If anything, Bob was in a typical Bob-like mood: casual, chill and ready for some food.
Eyes moved away from the kitten, gazing across the litter surrounding them. Rain hadn't visited Destiny City for a while, so the sewer system was relatively empty of water, leaving behind whatever the previous rainwater had pushed along the tunnel's way. "Did you lose your toy 'round here?"

Liryn had tensed as his eyes took in the dark star set on the other mauvian's brow, however purplish eyes blinked in surprise at the other feline's comment.
Kid?
His body relaxed and he padded a couple of paw pads closer "Uh I'm not a kitten you know" he said as the other mauvian shifted his gaze to study what looked to be a pile of nearby rubbish - because it was the first time that he could remember being referred to as a kid - essentially a kitten...
Well at least since being an actual kitten. And besides he was a fully grown cat - a fully grown adult cat.
Still if the bigger cat wasn't going to try anything, then Liryn didn't feel the need to either and so he continued
"And it's a cog not a toy, kind of shiny too - it's a good size so I thought it might come in handy."
He didn't elaborate on for what.Ghouliboo Apologies for the delay Ghouli - life ate me for a bit and I have pretty much only recently started slowly catching back up on my tags

"A cog?"
Green eyes stared at the smaller cat curiously. While Bob didn't mind being corrected, the fact the cat had lost a cog was more peculiar than anything else. Was this guy a techogeek or something? Did technology even require cogs at this point? The orange cat had absolutely no idea - he enjoyed watching HDTV, not figuring out how to put one together.
"Alright then. Cog hunting it is."
Hopping down from the higher perch he'd been standing on, he eyed his footing as he moved along the sewage pipe, eyes peeled for a shiny, circular object. "What do you need a cog for, anyways? Watch making? Computer stuff?"
Brushing an abandoned flyer to the side, he turned to look at the other Guardian. "Gotta admit, you've got me stumped, uh..."
Pausing, he let out a short laugh. "I didn't even catch your name, sorry. I'm Bob."
litian I am the one who needs to apologize; I also know what it's like to be eaten alive by RL responsibilities

Liryn nodded, his purplish eyes all seriousness "Yes a cog". He padded after the larger mauvian as he continued "And I need it for a little mini project."
Truth be told, need was perhaps a strong word - because if Liryn hunted around for long enough he could probably turn up another cog..
In fact he could probably turn up several other cogs, however he wasn't ready to give up on this particular cog just yet.
"Oh and I'm Liryn" he added, his voice a little distracted as purplish eyes tried to catch sight of any metallic glints.Ghouliboo no need to apologise Ghouli - I have been very slow myself

Liryn. A whimsical name for a cat, though Bob couldn't judge. He got enough guff as it was for being named so simplistically, so there wasn't a reason for him to tease for the opposite reason... at least, no reason to tease since the other cat had yet to make light of his name, yet.
Green eyes moved down from staring at the new member of the impromptu Sewer Gang, searching the small puddles of after-rain and trash that littered the ground around them. A sudden shimmer from the light above caught his eye and ginger eyebrows rose.
A-ha.
Scooping up the object from the puddle, he slipped the inward hole around one of his extended claws and shook, allowing wayward water particles to fly off from the glistening metal.
"Would this happen to be it?"
His arm reached out, displaying the prize he'd found.

Liryn had been in the process of using a paw to try and carefully prod at the surface of a nearby puddle, but he looked over at the other's question.
His purplish eyes seemed to almost light up as he inspected the object hanging from the bigger mauvian's paw.
"Yes" and the cheerful note was back in his voice, his excitement at seeing the cog - his cog - visible "That's exactly it!"

There was a brief moment of temptation for Bob to withhold the cog, to use it as a bribery or blackmail towards the small kitten. The dark thought flickered across his mind for only an instant - then, extending his claw out towards the ground, he slid the metal piece across the concrete and left it laying between the both of them.
Knowing his luck, there might come a time where he'd run into the little cat once more and it would probably be better in his favor if the cat thought more highly of him... especially if he tended to have high powered companions. Guardian Maus were one thing in a catfight, but when Eternal senshi got involved... things tended to get a little bit more messy.
So instead, he simply smirked.
"Guess we're not all bad guys, eh?"

Purplish eyes thought about it "You haven't been so bad" Liryn said firmly after about a moment.
The distinction was important - at least it was to Liryn - because whilst Bob hadn't been too bad, he was still reserving judgement on other chaos mauvians.
He padded forward and reached out to place a paw on the cog and vanished it into his subspace pocket, his voice back to being cheerful "Thank you for helping me find this."

The careful choice of words made Bob grin - well, it was something, at least. If push came to shove, he could always use this in his favor on the off chance that the next time they met, it wasn't under relatively friendly circumstances. "No problem, fella." Giving a curt nod in the smaller cat's direction, he slowly rose from his spot and moved to walk directly past the silver cat. Mindful not to brush against him, his extra fluffy tail rose and began to casually sway in the air as he continued on his trek down the sewer pipes. "You can just owe me one later." With that, he was off, humming happily to himself as paws sauntered, the click of his nails echoing through the depths of the Destiny City sewage system. litian I couldn't really think of what else Bob would do that wouldn't end up being teasing or malicious, so I went ahead and wrapped it up on my end - thank you so much for the RP; little Liryn is adorable heart

Liryn wasn't sure that he liked the idea of owing a chaos mauvian a favour...
In fact scratch that no he didn't like it - he didn't like it one bit, but it didn't stop him from nodding.
"Okay - but it will be an equal favour."
Because there were things that he couldn't and more importantly wouldn't do.
But he had his cog back and a project in mind for it and so he turned and headed back in the direction he had come from.Ghouliboo And a quick fin on my end smile
