Something was definitely up.
It was Friday evening and here were two very eligible bachelors (doctors by profession to boot) catching up with each other over coffee at Starbucks when his cousin Boaz suddenly dropped an invitation that there was someone he was meeting in a bit who also wanted to see him. Mysterious date who had a fetish for blue-eyed blonds? He didn't know that Boaz had it in him but who knows, maybe his usually shy and conservative cousin was more open now after what happened with his first love. He agreed to it of course. After all he hadn't any other plans for the rest of the night other than drop dead in bed to catch up on some sleep.
Going along with Boaz's plan to drive the both of them to the place where he was supposed to meet this person, he did a double take when his cousin pulled up at what looked like an abandoned warehouse and killed the engine. "So you're meeting that person here..?"
---------------------
Boaz had seen the look in James' eyes when he asked if he could come along for the meeting that he had set up with Xenotime. Of course his younger cousin would formulate an entirely wrong impression as to what this meeting was going to be about. He had deliberately set things up that way so that he would agree to come along and meet the good General.
Now that the both of them were at their destination and minutes from the meeting itself, he decided that it was probably in the younger blond's best interest that he set him right somewhat. "Yes. It's... not what you think it is. Ok?" He responded before he stepped out of the car and waited for James to follow suit. The last thing any of them needed was for James to be killed or maimed from trying to jump the Spec-Ops General just because his cousin here didn't tell him upfront what this meeting was all about.

This wasn't the first time Porsha had visited this warehouse. The last time had been with Isaiah. They'd come for the dramatic lighting and the broke down decor. She'd been a model for him, nude, and they had had to tidy up at least a little bit. Make the area safer, as well as comfortable for the woman to pose. Nothing seemed to have been disturbed since then. There was still a stack of boxes set up beneath the slow rotating fan of an air vent, and that was where the young woman was laying now, eyes closed, seemingly asleep. Instead she was thinking. Not only about the meeting Amethyst had set up and the cousin she was meeting that evening, but about the new general-sovereigns. About the school they were setting up, about the policies they seemed to be putting in place. About the differences between how things had always been handled, and how they were supposed to be now. About why Laurelite and Metallia had brought in outside help, when there were already a number of generals that could have stepped forward to fill those roles, if they had only been given the opportunity. About what she could have been lacking, to have been over looked.

James didn't require any prompting on Boaz's part to follow his cue, getting out of the car as well so that his cousin could lock the car doors and begin leading the way to where the both of them were supposed to meet his mysterious Friday night date. "What do you mean?" He asked after a couple of minutes of silence between the both of them made it apparent that Boaz had no intention of elaborating further on what this meeting was about just yet.
There had to be a good reason as to why the older blond was deliberately withholding such information from him. He trusted his cousin because he was family but even then, not even that could stop his imagination from running wild and prevent the man from saying the darnest things when he managed to make out the petite form of the young woman who was laying on a stack of boxes with her eyes closed as if she was fast asleep.
"Is there a reason why the meeting has to be here of all places? Are you doing something illegal like... filming a porn movie?"
-------------------------------
"You'll see. Eventually." Boaz maintained, still tight-lipped as ever as he led James to the interior of the warehouse. The sooner they met Xenotime or Porsha, whichever form the General chose to meet the both of them in, the sooner James would get the answer to all of his questions.
He could hardly believe what he heard when James suddenly asked, of all the things that ever came up in a conversation between the both of them, if they were filming a porn movie. Was he serious? Did all the porn he watch and read addle his mind or something? It was as if the younger Ashford had a secret death wish that was itching to be realised.
"... no. We are NOT filming a porn movie. Or clip. This meeting has absolutely nothing to do with porn or sex alright?" He informed James firmly, hoping that his younger cousin would wise up and refrain from making any further smart a** comments hence forth as he turned to address Porsha. "Miss Porsha Webber. As requested, I have brought my cousin James Ashford who... seems to have misunderstood what this meeting is about. I apologise on his behalf if anything he said was offensive or disrespectful."
James was not going to be useful to any of them if he was dead. Hopefully the good General would be able to see past all of that during her appraisal of him while keeping in mind what she and the Negaverse needs.

She heard them approaching, the pair of foot steps approaching from the entrance, and couldn't help but laugh at the voice she didn't recognize. "And what's so illegal about filming a porno?" In and of itself she was fairly certain it perfectly legal. Granted, that wasn't what this meeting was about. Not in the least. Sitting up, she turned and crossed one leg over the other, hands falling to rest at her sides as her gaze did a slow crawl over Boaz, then slid sideways to James. "Well, assuming you didn't tell him much, you can hardly blame the poor guy for letting his mind wander." She didn't seem offended. Hell, if anything, the girl seemed pretty amused. Raising her right hand, she extended it out to James in greeting. "As your cousin has said, I'm Porsha Webber. It's nice to meet you, James." They could take things slowly, get the introductions out of the way first, then get down to discussing business.

Well well well, what do we have here? James mused to himself as he checked Porsha out and gave an appreciative wolf whistle.
"Nothing if it remains in one's private collection for the sole purpose of entertaining one and his/her partner(s). In the wrong hands however, there could be a named price in exchange for silence, dissuasion from distribution, and you do realize that you're in the company of two doctors, don't you?" He quipped with a wink.
------------------------
Looking back at James and then at what appeared to be a very amused Porsha, Boaz took a deep breath, sighed and face palmed. So much for trying to get his cousin to stay out of trouble with his incorrigible flirtatious nature. It was a good thing that Porsha wasn't the type to be offended by such things otherwise he would have to worry about how to mediate the situation in order to keep James alive and at the same time get the Negaverse what they wanted.
"I believe I did what I had to in order to get my cousin here, Miss Porsha. Anything that appears contrary to any claims I've made prior to getting him here would only be detrimental and serve to undermine his trust in us."
------------------------
Closing the distance between himself and Porsha, James took hold of her hand and gave it a small squeeze, turning it slightly so that he could gently press his lips to the back of it before releasing it to take a step back from her. "Pleased to meet you, Porsha. I suppose there's a reason why we have to meet under these circumstances and why my cousin Boaz is addressing you as such?"

Porsha chuckled, her hair tickling along her shoulders as she gave a small shake of her head. "Oh honey, that's just business. Nothing illegal there." Though regardless, that wasn't what was on the agenda for today, fun though that might have been. "That's what consent forms are for." And now it was her turn to wink, though slightly more exaggerated. Pale eyes flicked next to Boaz, and the the corners of her lips twitched in amusement at the other man's reaction to his cousin's behavior. "Oh, I'm sure you did." It was cryptic, but in all honesty the petite fighter approved of most methods employed for the purpose of corruptions and recruitment. She was a rather firm believer that the 'ends justified the means', at least in most cases. What they all worked towards was the greater good, building a better tomorrow. A little blood shed along the way, a few twisted truths, would be forgiven in the end. She drew her hand from James' grip after he'd kissed it, arms folding as she sat up a little straighter. That she remained where she was, comfortable and more or less relaxed, spoke volumes to her certainty of her rank. She didn't feel the need to stand before either man to demand their attention and obedience. With Boaz she already had it, with James, well, the day was young yet. He'd learn. "Indeed there is!" She grinned at the doctors, though her attention stayed mostly on James. "I'm sure you've heard of the terrorists that plague our poor city? The magical delinquents that run around at night causing mayhem?"

"So they say until such materials fall into the hands of our incredibly curious minors despite our best attempts as responsible adults to keep them safe and out of their reach." James laughed, amusement written all over his face at the banter happening between Porsha and himself.
Something definitely was up. He knew his cousin Boaz well enough to know that he hadn't simply brought him here to an abandoned warehouse to meet Porsha for the sole purpose of having a conversation on the uses of pornography. Porn was something that either didn't exist in his dictionary, or was defined by it as the root of all evil to an individual like Boaz.
===================
Letting his gaze meet Porsha's over a couple of seconds, Boaz lowered his head slightly out of respect for the General who was his superior. He had done as she requested by bringing James here to meet her and he would stay put for now, only intervening if he deemed it necessary unless he was called upon.
===================
Oh? So that was the game she was playing?
James took a moment to ponder over the way with which Porsha seemingly out of the blue started to enthuse about the terrorists that were featured on the news every now and then. "I've heard bits and pieces on the news. But I'm not opposed to learning more about them if you'll care to elaborate?" His expression was one of caution and seriousness now, replacing the lighthearted and playful teasing that was apparent during his earlier banter with the petite woman.
"You're not going to tell me that you're one of them, are you?"

Porsha tsked him softly, but splitting hairs over the legality of the porn industry was not what they were there for. They'd wasted quite enough time on the subject, so she was pleased when his attention turned towards the matter at hand. Good. She grinned as he speculated about her being one of them, and gave a quick shake of her head. "Heavens no, could you even imagine? Ah, I would die." It was all said with a certain healthy amount of humor, but there was nothing but truth to the words. Pale eyes flicked to Boaz, sharing a knowing look with him, before she brought her attention back around to James. "No my dear, I'm one of the people trying to defend this world against those awful senshi." As she said it, she hopped down from her perch, and where Porsha had been, the general stood in her place. All dark beauty and barely contained violence. She practically vibrated with untapped energy and a potential for destruction. "And," she'd continue, lifting a hand to lay fingers softly against his chest. "You're here today because we need more soldiers, like you. People with medical training, and tenacity."

The conversation that he was having with Porsha was pleasant enough, James decided, though the candour with which she denied having any connections to the magical delinquents in question were raising red flags in his head that she wasn't all that she seemed to be. "Pretty hard to say since we've only just met..."
As if in response to his words, Porsha hopped down from her perch to close the distance that was between them while James was rendered momentarily speechless at the General who took her place to now stand before him. Was she a witch? What was that that just happened back there?
He took a step back from the fingers that were rested lightly atop his chest. Whatever purpose they were meant for, he was pretty certain at this point that they weren't part of Porsha's attempt to flirt with him as he kept his eyes on her. "What are you? And what if I said no?"
=====================
On the contrary, Boaz decided against powering up for now, moving instead to stand behind his cousin to cut off his escape route on the off chance that James suddenly decided to turn tail and run. Between him as Amethyst and Xenotime who could teleport to go after him, there would be no escape for James whom they planned on recruiting to join their cause.
