Sono's journal is really more of a notebook, filled with scribbles and formulas, barely understandable under the best of circumstances.

Background: One of the first Metas created, Sono has been around for quite some time. Back in the days of Metamorphosis Academy, Insonorise lived with his family on what is now sanctuary grounds until he reached adulthood. Then, he left to travel where ever he could, eventually developing a keen interest in genetics and music therapy.

After the events of the school closing, life got considerably harder. Eventually he sought out assistance to remove his wings - they were attracting far too much negative attention and he'd never been much of a flyer. He decided to keep his tail - since it doubles as a weapon if he needs it to.

Upon learning that the school had reopened as a sanctuary for Metas, he returned to the area, curious to find out if this was real or another hoax to lure Metas into harm's way. Having been a victim of curious outsiders before, he was concerned that younger, inexperienced Metas might fall prey to experimentation...

Current Location: Travels between Sanctuary and Belrad frequently

Current Status: Stressed, but otherwise fine.

  • Description of Power:
    Sono can change his voice to sound more like bells of all types. The sound is capable of producing powerful waves that may stun or damage a designated target. After using all of his available charges he can no longer do damage with the ability, but can still maintain the sound.

  • Weapon: N/A

  • Limits:
    - Range limited to city block
    - Lasts 1 round or is case by case
    - Not an AoE

  • Charges: 4

  • Subpower: The Bell Tolls
  • Active - This power can be used in conjunction with Bell Vocals, or when striking an actual bell, or even just metal in general... Sono produces a booming toll sound that causes affected target(s) (everyone within range if used as AoE) to feel immense dread for up to 2 hours/1 round. Affected targets may feel as though they'll die soon.
  • Limitations:
    - Range limited to city block
    - Lasts 1 round or is case by case
    - Each AoE can only be used once per battle
    - Friendly fire(attack allies/heals enemies, etc)
    - May be combined with others skills
    - May only be activated once on the character's first turn
    - AoE Charge: 1

  • Name of Power: Ferrokinesis
  • Element: Metal

  • Description of Power:
    Sono is capable of manipulating metal. He can reshape, strengthen, or weaken metals within range. He is able to form a metal sheath over his body to act as a barrier for extra protection, at the cost of being more susceptible to fire damage while it's active.

  • Weapon: N/A

  • Limits:
    - Range limited to city block
    - Can create armor form. Uses up a charge when in defense. Once is out of charges the armor is still there but doesn’t defend as well. (Basic defense)
    - Can manipulate metal to protect someone else as long as has charges.
    - When in this form takes 10 points of fire damage instead of 5.

  • Subpower: Hollow Form
  • Active - Sono is able to manipulate his density at will, allowing himself to become extremely light as if he were hollow like a bell. This allows him to move faster, and allows others to move him easier as well.
  • Limitations:
    - Can only be activated once, on the character's 1st turn
    - While Hollow Form is active, Sono's resistance to physical attacks is reversed into a weakness

  • Passive - Sono is able to sense vibrations around him via his connection to metal. He can amplify or deafen these vibrations, either allowing himself to more accurately tell where a source of sound is coming from or to hide his own movement.

  • Active - Sono produces a barrier of sound waves that protect him from harm.

  • Name of Power: Death Chime
  • Element: Necrotic
  • Relation to Item: Golden Bell (mythology)
  • Active or Passive: Active
  • Description of Power:
    Sono rings a series of bells that summon nearby spirits to do his bidding. Fallen comrades (0hp or actually dead) may also be made undead and controlled by his will. Outside of battle scenarios, this spell lasts 6 hours or until dismissed, whichever comes first. If summoning a fallen player character, the character has access to 1 of their powers, but Sono must know about the power. Otherwise, the power is selected at random.

  • Weapon: N/A

  • Limits:
    - Range limited to city block
    - Only 1 summon may be active per player per battle
    - Can only be summoned a max of 2 times.
    - Summons take up the Summoner's attack or defense skill slot when they attack or defend. They are not considered an extra character in terms of battle mechanics.
    - They may have a unique power(listed as part of their summon) or imitate their summoner's powers, that ability must also be confirmed. They do not give extra rounds on restricted skills as they are an extension of the summoner even if they may be sentient.
    - If reviving a player character as a summon, has access to 1 power that Sono has previous knowledge of. If Sono doesn't know any of the character's powers, the power is selected at random.

  • Passive - Sono is alerted to the presence of nearby spirits as long as they are within range. He can tell they're around, but not their exact location. Manes/Malices are included as spirits that he can sense.

  • Element: Sound
  • Relation to Item: Golden Bell

  • Description of Power:
    Sono sets up a ring of bells that will ring should someone/something pass through them, alerting him to disturbances. At this stage, the bells are only visible to himself and those with sound-based powers. The bells can range in size from the size of a fingernail to a church bell, depending on how large Sono would like the ring to be. People who enter the circle uninvited are struck with a sense of panic and alarm, and the bells forming the circle will begin to ring in an array of alarming tones.

  • Weapon: N/A

  • Limits:
    - Range limited to city block
    - Bells are "visible" to others with sound-based powers
    - AOE lasts 1 round
    - Friendly fire
    - Targets that are Panicked can either run or be stunned, but lose 1 attack roll while affected

  • Passive - By touching someone, Sono can place a sort of invisible bell on them that will alert him to their presence, even without Forewarn active. He can hear their approach within a city block, regardless of other sounds going on in the environment.

    - Expires after 2 weeks or until dismissed by Sono, whichever comes first

  • Name of Power: Dispelling Toll
  • Element: Sound
  • Relation to Item: Golden Bell (mythology)
  • Active or Passive: Active
  • Description of Power:
    With this power activated, Sono is able to dispel spirits or curses lingering either in the area, or on a specific target. He can do this for himself, or for others. Spirits or curses can be defined as undead, negative effects from powers, or Malices/Manes currently in control of their host's body. A Malice/Mane would be forced back into a passive state should Sono succeed in dispelling it. He cannot remove them from the host's body at this point.

    - Range limited to city block
    - Highest roll wins
    - Does not heal damage to other targets

  • Subpower: Healing Tone
  • Active - Sono's bells emit a vibration that stimulates healing in designated target(s).

  • Name of Power: Gold Aura
  • Element: Light
  • Relation to Item: Golden Bell (mythology)
  • Active or Passive: Active
  • Description of Power:
    While active, Sono emits an aura of gold light. He is able to differentiate between friend and foe with this aura -- foes find it painful to look at, and even more painful to come into contact with. The aura does nothing to people Sono regards as not being a threat.

  • Subpower: Golden Touch
  • Active - Sono is able to transform existing metal into gold upon touching it, so long as he activates this power. Objects transformed are permanent, and can only be undone via another power that would revert them to their original form, or by another transformation.
  • Limitations:
    - Object size limited to standard passenger vehicle
    - Only metal parts are transformed
    - Must have permission from player(s) if Sono is going to transform an important/personal object

  • Subpower: Gold Legacy
  • Passive - To an extent, Sono embodies the mythological properties of gold. Other people find him more likable or attractive (in whatever way would be most natural for them) than usual. Sono naturally attracts attention from others he is in immediate contact with, and receiving attention from him can boost morale or mood. This effect can make Sono feel more valuable to others than they might normally find a stranger/acquaintance, as long as he's within their field of vision. Enemies may be less willing to attack him.
  • Limitations:
    - Those with mental resistance may not be as affected as those without
    - Effect on others wears off when Sono is not in direct sight
    - Does not heal or remove any emotional effects on others
