- Background :: Chapter 1 :
"Fading"
As a human Geralt didn't live to a very old age, the man spent nearly his whole life as a nomad, wandering the land from town to town, not staying for more than a season before picking up and moving on once more. Though he is fairly young even now, after 300 years of afterlife the memories of being human have faded out, leaving him with only the most important bits of information about himself. Tragically he was outlived by his mother, Geralt having been traveling one stormy evening back for a visit when he was struck by lightning several times in a row, his body the highest point on a long expanse of flat plains drew the lightning to him, striking over and over until he was no longer with the living.

Zanpakuto Sealed Description ::
Zanpakuto Spirit :: After a piece of his soul was ripped away at the order of Central 46, he is no longer able to see nor remember the true form of his spirit, Arashi always appearing behind massive dark clouds and communicating with a booming, thunderous voice.
Zanpakuto's Personality :: Stoic normally, though if Geralt is placed in a life or death situation, whether it be his own or of another, Arashi will speak freely to Geralt as a comrade.
Zanpakuto Relationship :: Mutual silent respect. Will complain noisily in a way that makes Geralt's ears hurt as well as kicking up strong winds if kept from being under the open sky for too long.

Shikai Appearance ::
Physical Changes :: His sword shortens into a one handed viking blade, while his sheath widens and thickens into a sturdy, ornately engraved iron shield.
Environmental Changes :: When released strong gusts of wind surround and follow him in a 50 foot radius, though these winds wouldn't affect any opponent stronger than an athletic human, aside from possible airborne poisons.
Shikai Abilities ::
Repulsing Gale: Using his shield, he channels an incredible amount of kinetic energy through it to stop and deflect an attack, repulsing it and even causing some to be thrown back by the force. Against captain class opponents using a powerful bankai level attack, this ability will barely stalemate the attack if timed perfectly, otherwise letting through a small amount of the attack to damage Geralt if not timed correctly.
Aerokinesis: Using his sword to direct the flow of wind, he's able to create hurricane force winds, as well as increase the density of the air to make powerful blunt force attacks with fair range and speed, though the farther away the target is, the less precise and powerful this ability gets.
Wings of the Storm God(Incomplete): With this ability a pair of large white wings grow from his shield, allowing him to fly at speeds up to 7 times faster than if he were to use shunpo. However the flight is imprecise and almost clumsy, the faster speeds making turning and stopping difficult enough that the ability is nearly useless in battle, making it more for utility than anything else.
Wings of the Storm God(Perfect):A perfected form of this ability allows much more skilled use of the flight, the wings moving from his shield to his back and allowing full control of his positioning that equals shunpo in it's finesse, while surpassing it immensely in speed.
Glimpse of the True Storm King: When all else fails and he and his zanpaktou are broken, when the fate of many lives, not just his own rest upon his ability to eliminate a threat, a sliver of his real power will rouse to temporarily give him immense power. Massive bolts of lightning appear, connecting his fist with both the earth and sky and charging him with the strength for a single attack, charged with enough power to heavily damage even a captain commander class opponent when properly defended against. Simple in it's execution, an extremely fast 1 handed strike that transfers all of that energy into whatever his fist connects with. However his fist must strike something within 5 seconds or the power dissipates, leaving him with just enough energy to keep his heart beating. If he does connect with this attack though, while the strike will destroy all but the strongest foes, almost all of his bones will be cracked and fractured, with the damage becoming worse in his striking arm until at the point of impact, his hand will nearly have been turned into paste. If given proper treatment from both squads 4 and 12 after 3 weeks he would be able to perform at limited capacity in the battle field, and after 2 months all trauma would be fully healed.
Shikai Stability :: Perfect stability with exceptional power, it's strength coupled with his immense stamina allowing him to fight at length with other captain class opponents using bankai class powers(Though he would rarely win in these encounters, instead devoting most of his energy to stalling out for back up).
