It had been a long time since he had last spoken with Luk. Though Zarith had spent much time alone and wandering with only the few souls drawn to him for company...he felt a sharp pang of longing for Luk's presence. He thought of his God and Love often as he dutifully tended the crystals in the throne room. Many he had found compatible pairings for. The vibrations between the crystals were harmonious songs to his ears as the personalities of the souls within improved each others moods. He knelt by a blue and teal crystal set in a little nook and ran a cloth gently over their surfaces to clean away some gathered dust. The souls were steady and calm. Just two more souls ready to move on to a new life. But they needed to wait. He sighed softly as he sat back on his knees and peered thoughtfully at the pair.

Luk felt like he was floating in complete silence and stillness. The darkness around him was like a comfortable blanket, embracing him as an old friend. It felt like forever since he'd been here, laying in this sea of tranquility with nothing to focus on, nothing to worry about, no one's souls or voices flashing through his mind. But somewhere nearby, someone was calling to him. A soft impression in his soul that reached and spoke to him without words and soul lights. As ever, Luk strained slightly against being cast out of his peaceful rest, but somehow it didnt seem as important to sleep on. Slowly, he drew in a breath and opened his eyes to glance around the tomb he called his own personal chambers. Not many came here without calling, and so it was dark and quiet here, with the exception of that impression on his own being. Rising from his silk covered stone bed, Luk slowly drifted toward the doors that lead to his throne room, cracking them open with a wince. Blind as he may be, the light of the souls outside his haven shone like the sun to his still tired eyes. He pulled the door open further, closing his eyes as he did so. "Zarith...?"

Zariths melancholy was broken when he heard his name. Spoken in a voice he loved more than anything he had ever come across. His silver eyes widened and he rose from his position near the floor. "My Love?" He responded with a bright note to his vote.Turning, Zarith felt his heart leap and jump like little butterflies. He resisted the urge to run to his God, instead he rose and drifted over to him with his arms open. "My Love you are awake! I am so happy to see you!"

Luk blinked against the brightness of Zarith's light as he came forward, but he still reached out for his mate and pulled him close once he could. "I was only resting for a bit..." Luk murmured, his eyes slowly opening to look around the throne room. It felt as though a lot had changed since he'd last seen it, though nothing looked amiss.
"You have been working while I slept. I pray all has been well?" He asked, closing his eyes to rest his chin on the demigods head as he hugged him closer. "Have i missed much?"

Zarith folded himself into Luk's arms eagerly. Placing his head on his shoulder, he closed his eyes and simply exhaled a happy breath. "Of course My Love. I would never neglect my duties. The souls are harmonizing and are quite clean. Though I fear there is a bit of a back up of souls waiting to be placed in crystals. I have gathered what I can on my own." He shared softly. Had Luk missed much? He pressed his lips together in a small frown. "I have heard the Cursed Gods attacked the Carnival God. His home was lost and he is roaming right now. But my news is terribly old and not quite detailed. I have not left your realm since you went to rest." He shared softly.

Luk frowned, his confusion written clearly on his face. He closed his eyes, shaking his head slightly. "Old and dated news such as this...I dont understand." He mumbled to himself. "Was not the war just recent...?" He gently moved past his demi, glancing around the throne room for a closer look at the crystals.
"Have i been resting so long?" Luk asked, glancing back towards Zarith. "So long that the corrupt have taken over the realm of a god." He sighed, walking slowly to touch his crystals, now seeming empty and barren at closer inspection. "Have I been so neglectful a god, so allow my children to wander alone in such a dangerous time..."

Zarith watched Luk drift around with concern. he folded his hands in front of him and shook his head slightly. "No my Love. The dust of the war has long since settled. Martyr returned to her realm. Antarmur'ss has come to visit once or twice, but he never lingers long while you were slumbering. Mostly he crept around out of sight then returned home. I only noticed him because he asked me if you had shown signs of awakening yet." He confessed. Lifting a hand up to his face he tucked a strand of blue hair behind one pointed ear. "We have not been totally alone. If any danger had arisen I am sure your ally would have intervened, but he left us to our own designs. We are not his followers after all."

Luk stood silent for a few moments, his eyes closed as he thought of what could have happened to his realm while he'd slept. "Everyone is well?" He finally asked as he turned from the crystals and returned to his throne to sit. He stared towards the crystals, his eyes glowing brightly in the gloom. "There have been no crossings with our people and the corrupt?"
He'd have to visit Antar now that he was back in the realm of the living and reassure his ally that all was well. He disliked that he'd been out of touch with everyone for so long.

As much as Zarith wanted to reassure Luk that all was well, he flitted his wings and looked away in shame. "I can not say for certain. None of the Cursed have entered your realm as far as I can tell. Though I am certain many of your followers have felt your lack of activity in personal ways." Slowly Zarith drifted towards the throne where Luk now sat. He lowered himself to his knees at the foot of his Gods throne and reached out a hand to touch Luk's knee. "There have been frightening rumors of another type of corrupted on the surface, but I have not seen any of these things yet. In truth I think this is a good thing. You have returned to us before anything foul has crept it's way into your realm."

Luk gave Zarith a small smile, reaching down to caress his hair. "Thank you, Zarith." He murmured, before closing his eyes and reaching out towards his followers to track them through their masks.
"These new corrupt...I shall have to consult with Antar about them." He mused, trying not to over extend his reach until he was feeling fully charged again. His realm felt very quiet, and he could not help but wonder where all of his little spirits had gotten to after the war. He hoped everyone was still well, though he did suppose his ranks could be refilled again with more souls once he'd collected them. The thought was troubling though, he'd have to do so much more work to get things going again, especially given the news of new forms of corrupted.
"How have the children been?" He asked quite suddenly, changing the subject to something more tasteful for their reunion. "I hope they've not been giving you too much trouble..."

Zarith closed his eyes and simply allowed the sensation of peace settle over him when Luk stroked his hair. He was so happy Luk was awake once again. Oh how he had missed his presence! Though when he would ask about the children, Zarith felt a little at a loss on exactly how to answer. Other then honestly of course. "Raith has been acting out I fear. He has not followed through on the suggestion of him learning more about the Darkness realm. In fact I have caught him taking souls from their crystals in order to play with them. Sometimes he puts them back, but sometimes I fear he loses them." Zarith lifted his head from Luk's knee and turned his eyes up at his God. "Zalaika has not been up to anything very important. I fear the girl lacks motivation, though perhaps she just needs a little bit of guidance. She does read a bit so she's clearly using her mind. Other then her fights with Raith all is quiet with her."
Zarith turned his thoughts to his final daughter with a small smile. She reminded him of himself in so many ways. "Tahira has been very quiet this whole time. She stays in the palace and talks to the spirits. She's very quiet and hasn't caused any trouble at all."

Luk frowned slightly, more of a pout then actual displeasure. "My children are being lay abouts in my absence. How is a father to handle such a thing, with them all grown and ready to move about as they wish?" He sighed, shaking his head. "I'll have to talk with Raith, at least. Losing my souls, and mishandling them. He should know better then to remove them from the crystals without my permission." Still, the idea of spanking the boy like he were a child appealed to Luk. Perhaps his son needed to remember just who it was that was the lord of this realm, and being treated as a disobedient child would wound the boy's pride more then his a**.
"The girls may just need a push in the right direction. It would be nice to see them out and doing things. Perhaps recruiting for us, or making bonds elsewhere for allies." Luk mused to himself more so then Zarith. His eyes shifted back down to the little demi, and he smiled softly at him. "Well, all that will come as it comes. I shall speak with our children, and see to them as I must see to my realm."

"I fear I am not a very demanding parent my Love. I am sorry." Zarith apologized with his eyes downcast. He was just a bit too soft perhaps. It wasn't as if he had a hard time dealing with the living over the dead either. He could think of no real excuse aside from the fact it was clearly a personality flaw that he allowed his children to misbehave or flounder. When Luk began to speak of seeing to his realm, Zarith's blue lips turned into a faint smile. "Perhaps a viewing of your realm will help ignite some activity within. Seeing you walk the land once more will be a inspiration to those who have long missed your presence."

"Do not apologize for being a kind being, my heart. You have done nothing wrong." Luk scolded him gently, looking back towards Zarith and staring down at him. "I am the one who vanished for so long. The children are all my responsibility, more so then yours."
He sighed and gave himself a mental shake, then sat up straighter. "Before I talk with the children however...I should seek out my shadow brother. For him to come and check on me, he must be bored silly or in need of a trustworthy ear to listen. Either way, I have neglected my duties to him as well, and I should rectify that."
But even though he said these things, he still did not make to move from his throne. Luk merely sat and listened to his realm, truly as silent as a crypt, and to his mate.

"You are a God. Some periods of silence should be expected from you from time to time." Zarith gently responded. Though he knew some other followers wouldn't likely think the same way as he did. He peered up at Luk with a small smile though. he was so happy that he had returned. That thought just kept popping up in his head. "I am certain the Darkness God was only looking to speak with you. He has been invested in his own domain for a bit, though I can not say what his plans are. Will you go to visit him or shall I send a will-o-wisp to inform him of your awakening? Granted he might already know. Your two realms are so close." He said with a tilt of his head.
