Being out at night was dangerous, even if you had superpowers. Maybe especially if you had superpowers. Sylvite stayed in after dark most days, preferring to do her Negaverse duties when Order wouldn't be out looking for people to mess with, but sometimes... Well, there was something exhilarating about doing flips from rooftop to rooftop in the moonlight and never seeming to tire. She loved jumping off tall buildings so that for just a moment she could feel like she was flying. Every once in a while, it was worth the extra bit of danger, and tonight was one of those nights. After all, if she had to do all of the hard soldier things and the boring training things, she deserved to do the cool superhero things, too, right? So she jumped around the city for almost an hour, feeling pretty pleased with herself. She'd made her way to near the center of town and was trying to figure out how long she could hang upside down on a street light using just her knees. So far, she was at three minutes and feeling great. There were auras around, but she was too busy counting to worry about them. Lucyal Let me know if this works!

There were auras around, and Sedna blinked as she seemed to be near one---a chaos one. It wasn't moving too fast at the moment, and in fact, it seemed to be stationary. It was also a level lower than her's, and thus she deemed it safe to investigate. It was one of those rare few days that Beringia wasn't powering up to focus on his school work, so she was on her own. The super skipped from awning to awning, about level the top of the street lights, and rounded the corner she she spotted her. After all, that curly pink hair was unmistakable! Sedna's expression brightened considerably. "Sylvite!" She raised her arm, and waved it enthusiastically, and then started to skip the rest of the awnings quickly to reach the girl. The super senshi landed on an awning across from from her, and crouched, sporting a wide grin. "It's been a while! I'm happy to see you! How are you?" stari_maga This is great! Thank you! *n* <3

Then, what had been a vague, roaming aura became threateningly close, and suddenly, before Sylvite could even get out of her precarious position, a figure bounced onto the awning like ten feet from her. She gave a panicked squeak and started scrambling to at least get on top of the light pole before she realized it was a familiar figure. "Oh... Hi, Sedna," she said, still mostly upside down, although she was at least holding on with her hands now. She smiled, but her voice lacked its usual excitement. "Um... I'm okay, I guess? Things have been pretty good recently, but ever since you guys-" Mid sentence, she trailed off as her gaze moved from the light pole to Sedna. "...wait..." A few seconds passed as she focused on the other girl's outfit and aura. "...You upgraded, right? You've got fancy stripes and ribbons and everything now. It's really cool. No one'll think you're a dirty space pirate, now!" Now that she had a few seconds, she managed to get on top of the pole with a bit of fancy maneuvering "...Well, at least not 'cause of your outfit."

The watered down enthusiasm was immediately noted, and Sedna's own grin faltered slightly. Her brows knitted. "You guys---?" She was paused, briefly, by the inquiry. "Ah!" She glanced down at herself, even though she was obviously already aware of the upgrade, and had been for some time now. "Yeah!" She nodded her head. "Thanks!" The senshi then couldn't help but laugh a bit at the dirty space pirate bit. "Well, I'm glad! But did I really look like one before?" She couldn't help but ask, but then immediately drifted back to Sylvite's cut off sentence. "What were you going to say about 'you guys'?"

"Well, I thought you looked like a pirate back when I first met you. I dunno the difference between pirates' and fancy sea captains' clothes, though, so... you probably look fine to anyone who does, especially now. The "dirty space" part is more 'cause of the whole senshi thing, though, since you guys..." She trailed off again and paused for a long moment, pursing her lips, her eyes just a bit wider than normal. She really didn't want to talk about this stuff right now, especially not to a Order senshi... this was her night for fun! ...But Sedna had asked, and she couldn't just change the subject back to clothes forever. "...Well... I was thinking about what you said, about you guys not actually being space pirates... and then you guys kinda, like..." There was another, briefer pause, and then she spoke very quickly, trying to cram all of her difficult thoughts into a single breath. "Kinda kidnapped a bunch of us, and left me and one of my best friends to die and apparently did like, even worse stuff to a bunch of the older agents, and then after that before I was even all the way better, you kinda murdered half the Negaverse in our own castle." She drew herself up into a sitting position, still looking almost scared. "So... yeah."

She kept wincing at the 'you guys' thing. She really didn't like...the idea of being lumped in with whatever had caused Sylvite to feel down. She didn't think she'd been apart of anything that had, but couldn't help but get a sinking feeling that she did know what the agent was getting around to. Sedna let out a gasp, and her eyes widened at the kidnapping bit, and then grimaced terribly at the murdering Negaverse and castle bit. The senshi shifted into a kneel, as she let out a huge breath, still grimacing. Her knee sunk into the material of the awning, and she rested her elbows across her raised leg. She stared down at the toe of her boot for a long moment, her eyes lidded, before she looked back up at Sylvite. "...I...I had no idea, that you were---kidnapped---you and your friend---I...I wasn't apart of that, and I wasn't apart of the group that....stormed the Negaverse castle either and...attacked. I...I wasn't comfortable with the action so I...didn't go." But she had been on the other side of that portal. Maybe she didn't participate but...how come did she still feel guilty? "So I wish...you wouldn't say...'you guys'...like I was apart of it, because I wouldn't dream of doing anything to hurt you...and what others do isn't what I do, either. Just like how I know...you don't want to go around hurting innocent people like a lot of other agents do." A pause. "...I'm so sorry, for you." These were heartfelt, because she knew what it was like to be kidnapped, and she had a taste of the emotions running around during the castle storming.

"... But it is you guys," said Sylvite, her frown deepening. Sedna seemed actually sorry, but... Someone seeming a little upset just made her feel confused, not better. "You're part of Order. Yeah, okay, maybe you weren't there, but you're still supporting those guys, and not stopping them... And that goes both ways. I'm a real soldier of the Negaverse, okay?" She swung her feet back and forth to release some of the tension and actually seemed to cheer up a bit, looking up and smiling softly. "I met a lot more officers since we last talked. Higher up people. We have a Queen! She's so pretty... and I think she saved all of us who made it back when we got attacked... and all the Generals are super brave and super strong... and yeah, they're soldiers, and I dunno all the stuff they've done, and I'm sorry about what happened to you, that probably sucked, too... But the Negaverse people are good, and they're my friends." She was almost glowing, talking about them. Then, she her eyes flicked back to Sedna, the frown returning. "I'm not blaming you or anything, but... we're enemies, okay?"

The more Sylvite went on, the more she just glowed talking about the Negaverse and how she felt about it, the more crestfallen Sedna looked. She'd definitely been harboring hope that maybe Sylvite would come around and see that the Negaverse was in the wrong. There were some things she couldn't fault her on. Order wasn't entirely guilt free, not if they were resorting to tactics like kidnapping, and storming the base---it was a good idea, yes, but to go with the attempt to harm---to kill even---others, she understood how Sylvite could think...that Order was bad...and it was a war. No side would come out clean, she got that, but really---Order wasn't the side that was unleashing monsters to maim and murder people who couldn't protect themselves. Just to name a thing. "...But do we have to be, though?" She asked. "I haven't wronged you in anyway, and you haven't wronged me---so just because we're on opposing sides, does that mean we have to be enemies?"

Watching Sedna's face slowly fall as she gushed about her superiors made Sylvite feel bad, and a little guilty... and those feelings made her feel even worse and even guiltier, because she wasn't supposed to feel bad for a dirty Order space pirate... And yet she did. "I-" she began, then shook her head and sat there for a moment in silence, her fingers tightening on the light pole until they were white. "I don't know. Don't worry, I'm not gonna attack you or anything, that would be even dumber now than it was before, but... I'm a Negaverse soldier, you're an Order senshi." She was starting to shake a little. She hated this. Saying that didn't feel right, either. "No... you're right. You seem pretty nice. I... I like you, I think. I don't want to be enemies! I don't! But... how can we be anything else?" Lucyal this is quickly turning into Romeo & Juliet, sci-fi friendship edition.

Sylvite's words, now, did manage to bring a bit of a smile back to Sedna's lips. "You're nice. I can tell. I know you are, and I know I like you...!" She nodded her head a bit, her eyes lidding briefly as she glanced down at the street below them. "...Just because we're on different sides...I don't think it means we're enemies...I mean just...we both think we're doing the right thing, and we don't want to hurt innocent people...right?" Sedna looked back up at her. "I don't like fighting anyone in the Negaverse. I...well, I honestly don't like fighting at all, and I only do when I find someone who's hurting someone else, or taking what doesn't belong to them...you...isn't that how you feel?" stari_maga OMG YOU'RE SO RIGHT! I'm dying. Minus the tragic ending...I hope...

Sylvite remained stock still as Sedna spoke, still looking unsure and keeping the pole she was sitting on in a deathgrip. The words didn't offer her much comfort. "I hate fighting, too! Of course I hate fighting," she said. "I always get hurt! I don't wanna hurt innocent people, either. Back before, I just wanted to be really cool and strong. Now, I just wanna protect my friends and the planet." That was probably an acceptable answer, but it wasn't all the way honest, and Sylvite didn't feel like lying. "I do have enemies, though, okay? ...And they're your allies, maybe, like... your friends." She paused, looking past Sedna for a moment. "The people who called my friend worthless and left me to die..." I'm going to rip their throats out with my fingernails, she thought, but she knew it sounded bad, so she said, "I can't forgive them. They're gonna... they're gonna regret it. ...And I do drain energy, just so you know, but that doesn't hurt. It's not bad." Lucyal I honestly don't see it ending well
