The forest was lovely this time of year, the snow having finally retreated and the flowers beginning to bloom. The air was alive with the sound of crickets as the moon rose over the mountains in the background. High up in a tree Princess sighed lightly. Though all this beauty surrounded her, the vain she wolf only cared about finding Mr. Right and having pups with him. Though honestly she had no care for the actual pups, she just wanted her prince charming and so far he had not shown up. She'd had plenty of encounters with males who's only interest was to spend a single night with her and that irked her. More often than not those males met her fangs and left with a few more scars. Looking around she sighed again and splayed her wings open to help reset the feathers so she always looked her best.

The night was serene and peaceful, but Damian had been feeling restless for some time now. While his surroundings were alive and full of positive energy, Damian felt misplaced. He couldn't confide in Tenzin, the stallion had enough on his shoulders. Ever since he put it into his mind to create a herd, he had been doing all he could to seek out other inhabitants of the forest and see if they were interested in joining. Damian, having had played a part in convincing the stallion to create a herd, couldn't protest when his bonded left to go recruit others, but it did leave him feeling lonely. Of course, he could go with Tenzin, but it appeared that most Soquili disliked carnivores in their presence, even ones as well behaved as Damian.
Tenzin had left earlier that day and had yet to return from his mission, leaving Damian feeling antsy. It was immature to go searching for Tenzin, he was more than capable of handling himself on his own, he thought. Unless he fell into a pit... Or a tree fell on him... Or if that skinwalker returned!
He was suddenly running, his pawsteps light on the forest floor below. He had lived here since he was a pup and was at ease at navigating the bushes and roots. He needed to find his bonded that instant or he would go completely insane! He stopped abruptly, hearing a large rustling in a tree nearby. So loud was the sound that Damian suspected something very big was in the tree, but what could it be? An owl perhaps? He was tilting his head back to look up, once he found out what it was, he would be on his way, but his eyes widened when he saw it was no owl, but a wolf.
A she-wolf in fact, with large, sweeping wings and a long, thick tail which swung behind her as her perched on the tree branch. She had her wings spread out, the moonlight filtering through her pale primary feathers and he was awestruck. Before he could control himself, he was on his hind legs, with a front paw reached up and pressed into the trunk of the tree she was perched upon.
"You're beautiful." He said, before he could stop himself. "The most beautiful wolf ever to have lived."

She'd had her eyes closed while spreading her wings, enjoying the feeling immensely when the sound of a voice cut through the night. Opening her pale blue eyes she looked down and lo and behold another wolf was standing with his paws on the trunk looking up at her. She felt her tail curl with the pleasure of being called beautiful. Princess was extremely vain and enjoyed such compliments immensely, but when he called her the most beautiful wolf ever to have lived her ego went off the chart. Carefully she fluffed the fur around her neck giving her an elegant like appearance, her tail slowly swishing behind her. "Well what a gracious compliment my good sir. Tis a fine night to be meeting new..." She paused for a moment and decided to carefully put a bit of innuendo into her words, "Friends..." She smiled brightly at the male, wondering if the moon or stars had heard her wish and finally sent her Prince to her. After a moment she realized her wings were still open and the pinions were aching slightly from the strain so she swiftly folded them to her back and continued to watch the male seeing what he'd say.

When she looked down upon him, Damian found himself grow warm under her gaze. When her fur began to rise, he felt a moment's doubt-was she mad at him for staring? When she spoke, she sounded more pleased than angry and he let the worry slip from his back like droplets of water.
His ears perked with interest growing at the word of friends and he smiled up at her. "Indeed, Miss, it is a truly lovely night." With a bow of his head, he went on to introduce himself, "I am Damian, what may I call you, Miss?"
