Aodh would receive a text one night to dress for a hike when he came in tomorrow. He would then recieve a string of following texts while Jaro lamented his lack of proper footwear that weren't sandals or work boots. Then another string of texts from a shoe store with a very disgruntled clerk and a pair of fashionable and comfortable sneakers thrust into a selfie. The next morning Aodh would find Jaro leaning against the side of his beat up truck outside of the scrap yard fence, playing with his phone, in a hoodie and loose tank top as well as the sneakers from the photo and some fairly snug knit pants. His hair was not in it's usual bandana and even though they were supposedly going for a hike he had bracelets and necklaces and dangly earrings and ear cuffs as if he were just going into town. Jaro glanced up at the younger man with a smirk, "Ready?"

Aodh was probably more amused by the texts than he should have been. Mostly because it was always amusing to see someone have to deal with Jaro. There really was no proper way to explain how much he enjoyed watching people try to navigate and deal with the man. He had his own troubles with dealing with Jaro but they were not nearly as bad as what others dealt with. He parked his car and got out, not surprised to see those sneakers on. "Yes, but you don't look like you are." Not for a hike, not with all the jewelry on. Aodh still only wore the bracelet he had bought. He had put on a good pair of hiking boots, well fitted jeans, and then a tank top that he pulled a zip up hoodie over. It wasn't closed at the moment but his hands were stuffed into the pockets.

Jaro looked a little taken aback, nose wrinkling, "What's wrong with this?" He stood up and held out his hands to motion to all of himself before shaking his head. "Get in the damn truck." Jaro hopped up into the driver's seat. The inside was much nicer than the out, but still had beads hanging from the mirror and he'd for some reason paid for dark red leather upholstery. "We're going to the park."

"Nothing at all," Aodh replied, grey eyes glinting, "just that you could probably go out on the town like that as easy as you could hiking." Jaro had a better sense of fashion than he did anyway. Aodh was practically in everyday clothing. He was smirking a bit as he did as he was told and got into the truck. The seat belt was pulled on and he tilted his head to look towards him. "Any particular reason why?" Not complaining, just curious.

"I can't be uncomfortable either.." Jaro snorted and started the truck with a rumble. He pulled down the drive and turned onto the road. "Abandoned car to haul but I want to scope it out." Usually they would call a tow truck but Jaro sometimes offered to cut out the middle man and he knew a guy. He did give Aodh a look though, "And it's a nice day to enjoy nature." His brows bobbed.

Jaro just got another snort. Mostly because he was thinking about the fact that the older man was definitely one of those people that knew a guy. He wondered if it came from being in charge of a scrapyard. Aodhan shot a look right back. "I can't tell if that's a thinly disguised hint that I should take it easy or not." Mostly because he probably should and Jaro had been guilty enough in the past to remind him to enjoy himself. Aodh was too busy being Aodh, however, to do so.

The truck puttered much smoother than it looked like it should by the outward appearance. But then again he did know a guy. And he'd done a bit of auto work in the past. It wasn't his favorite though. "Do I seem like the subtle type to you?" Jaro snorted. "Thin veils are only for sexy time." Wink, "Not for conversation." The ride to the park wasn't far, Jaro just turning into one of the many dirt road entrances blocked by yellow gates. The truck was stopped, turned off, and he was peering through the windshield before he made a move to get out. "You hear that all those people went missing in here not that long ago?" Green eyes cast back to Aodh, "Some of them... NEVER CAME BACK." SPOOKY VOICE.

Aodh just turned pink at the wink and the mention of sexy time. He did not need to be thinking about Jaro and sexy time and thin veils and Jaro was the worst. He was still pink as he was opened the car door, pausing to look over at Jaro. "I heard about it," Aodh replied. "Wait, I thought the two that went missing in the forest came back? Were there more?" Ignoring spoopy voice. Still pink. Damn you, Jaro.

Jaro was always especially satisfied to turn Aodh pink. The tall man stepped down out of the truck and once it was closed up, hit the lock. His keys were pocketed as he moved to, and around, the yellow gating. "Everyone knows somebody who says otherwise.." Jaro lifted his brows, looking up at the trees, his sister would love this place, "People saying they disappeared for a couple hours or stepped around a corner and disappeared that night." Jaro snorted, "The lady at the grocery store said she saw someone poof out of a door. Swear to god." He shrugged, "But the police did say everyone was accounted for." He grinned, "Don't you believe the town stories?"

Aodh closed the door and came around to stand next to Jaro once the truck was locked up. His hands were slid back into his pockets and he was still a bit pink in the cheek. "Yeah but if you follow keepashdownspoopy," which Aodh did read for amusement, "then you'd know to not believe everything the police say. Like it wasn't performance art or whatever and those fliers were super creepy." He snorted and glanced upwards to Jaro. The pink was fading and he shook his head. "I've been here most of my life, I don't know that I believe it anymore than any of the other urban legends around here."

At mention of keepashdownspoopy Jaro actually laughed, "You believe Cid over the police?" That wasn't to say he believed the police either but there had to other sources of actual news than his nephew. "They say the witch is real.." Jaro trudged through the dirt towards the forest with his hands in his pockets. "..All the ladies in town." Who seemed to love him, "Some say they met her."

"I don't believe Cid at all," Aodh countered, "but sometimes the stories have a bit of truth in them. Better than what the police have said about everything." He tilted his head, gray eyes watching Jaro. "Just the ladies? No men say she's real?" He snorted. "I've heard the same when I was at school. Knew a few that went and met her actually - or they say they did."

"Men and I don't do a lot of... talking." Jaro teased with a wink and then laughed. It was loud, seeming out of place in the quiet of the forest now that they were actually entering the solitude of the trees. There was a path they were following but Jaro hadn't indicated much more than that. He stepped over a stray fallen branch, "What about the other one.. about the rainy place?"

Aodh went appropriately pink at what Jaro and because of the laughter. He was scratching his hand through his hair, looking everywhere but the taller man for a moment. "The one you can find if you walk around town enough you'll find?" Still not really paying attention, he ended up stumbling over the fallen branch that Jaro had stepped over. Reflexively he went to steady himself by grabbing at Jaro's arm.

"Easy there.." He chuckled. Jaro's arm went out for him, the other coming over as well. "You fall for me so easy-" HA! He laughed again.
