 'It was cold and her shivering awoke her and she was alone. Fear filled her gut as she panicked and stumbled to her feet,her legs a little wobbly as the filly scrambled forward from the brambles in which she laid. Eyes wide as she looked around for something, someone, anything and finally they locked upon the dark form of her brother and she darted to his side instinctively and shielded herself from her nightmares underneath his massive wings and protective claws. She didn't want to be alone, not then, not now, not ever.'
She shook her head slightly as the memory came and faded like the coming and going of the wind. Why that memory and why now? Perhaps it was because she was a young adult now and she could go and be on her own, which was awesome! She wouldn't have her brother hovering over her all the time to make sure she wasn't getting into stuff. Still. Her face was solemn as she thought about what this meant for her. Perhaps she could make some friends with others and then she wouldn't be alone. She liked the idea of it and decided she could figure something out. Besides, didn't her brother have friends?
The thought made her smile. She was sure he would LOVE for her to make friends with all of his. Just what he would need, her getting into his life even more than she already was. Though he was going to be a father soon and the thought made her giddy as she was going to be an aunt and could do so much with the young foals once they were born. She would be the best aunt ever! That much she was sure of.
Her feathers fanned out behind her as she extended her wings and her tail and soaked up the warmth of the sun on the ledge in which she rested. Her claws gripped the edge gently as her crimson gaze peered out at the lands below her. So much was going to change for her but she wasn't exactly how or when and what but it was going to happen. With a sigh she thought back on the memory and recalled what had startled her awake that night. She had dreamed of fire and dark shadows that called out for blood but she had no idea why she had a dream like that when she was so young. Perhaps it was a memory from when she was just a basket?
She shook her head, it was so long ago now, it was likely just the vivid dreams of a young filly. Either way her brother had been there and she had settled right back down. He really had been there for her when she needed and didn't need him and for that she was thankful. She would probably never actually admit that too him but she cared for him and was more like him than he feared. It wasn't that bad of a thing right? After all, what could possibly go wrong with her being like him.

So far everything was going well, at least so she thought. Her nephews had grown up wonderfully and they had all managed to stay out trouble, for the most part. She knew being a single father was hard on her brother but at least she was there to help! Stretching her wings she did a little prance before running forward and beat them a few times and flew into the sky. Feeling the wind in her mane she let out a sigh and just closed her eyes. This was a wonderful feeling and she let it over take her.
She often liked to lose herself when she flew. It was just too easy to clear her mind and just be. The sound of little wings made her open her eyes to see Aurora flying not to far away from her and she smiled at the songbird. "Feeling up for a flight with me today I see?" She asked and Aurora nodded her head. "I figured I would try to see if I could keep up with you at any rate." She said warmly. Spotting a flash of white from below she averted her attention to a white stallion in a nearby field and decided to go check it out. "Let's see who that is." She said dipping, changing her flight to the ground. She landed a decent distance away to allow for a proper reaction and gazed at the stallion. He was much like her and her brother, but with lots more feathers.

 The sound of wing beats caused him to look upwards to see a flash of pink and black and he watched as the mare landed not too far away, a small songbird in tow. Cocking his head slightly as she approached and greeted himself and Kiviuq he nodded and returned the statement in kind. "Hello." He said looking between the mare and the bird. "Is there something I can help you with?" He wasn't entirely sure why else she would have stopped unless she perhaps needed assistance. He wasn't always accustomed to those just dropping by to chat.
Kiviuq looked at the little bird and found himself curious. He'd never actually seen a songbird before and marveled at how tiny she was. "You look so frail. I'd be afraid to hurt you." He said with a smile. Aurora laughed and landed on a small bush branch not to far away. "well you look like you could squash me, but so does everyone." She said.
Astraeus watched the two birds interaction and returned his attention to the mare. She was the first Hippogryph he had seen in a long while and this was actually quite a thrill for him. "My name is Astraeus." He figured he could at least introduce himself. "My feathered companion here is Kiviuq." He took a moment to look her over without being too obvious. Her coloration was quite nice and unique. He had seen some interesting folks in his travels but none quite as colorful as her.

"I was actually just out for a flight and saw you and thought I'd say hello." She said looking over towards the two birds as they seemed to start chatting with one another. "It's nice to meet you Astraeus, I'm Morrigan and my companion is Aurora." She said with a nod of her head. "What about you, what brings you out here?"

"I'm glad to hear it's just for pleasure then." He said warmly to her. Morrigan, it was a pretty name. "It's nice to met you Morrigan. I'm actually on a bit of a personal mission." He said reluctantly. He had yet to find someone who had run into his sister and was hoping he would eventually find her or someone who had seen her.
