It was dark, dank, and the smell that hung in the air, that by now clung to his clothes and his skin and his hair, left incredibly little to the imagination. What little light there was, was obscured by the dirt on the small and high set window, but right then it was dark outside, too. Moonlight, and only a sliver of it, came in through the gaps in the grime across the glass…
Nate gave a shuddering breath when he finally came to, choking on the taste of blood very soon after. For a while he could only feel his lungs heaving from the effort to expel whatever liquid went down the wrong pipe, but even after he calmed down most of the rest of his body was numb from either pain or the cold ********' hell..." he managed to choke out after yet another futile struggle against his chains. The bindings dug into his wrists and his ankles, making it impossible for him to do anything to really help himself, or even get at least a little comfortable. How long had he been like this now? Days, it felt like...weeks even. Maybe longer; hell, did anyone even notice that he'd gone missing?
"Hey!" he called. His dry throat caused him to start coughing again, the metallic taste once again on his tongue before he spat it out. "Hey!" he tried again, "You gonna kill me yet or you think you can get off your a** and get a guy some water?"
Quote:
After Nate had finished yelling there was the sound of a door opening and closing. Immediately after that the man could hear the sound of footsteps if he was listening and they were his only warning before the door to his cell was opened and the short Lieutenant known as Chaltoreite was standing there with his blow up mallet in hand. “Oh do shut up.” He drawled with a smirk. “You will die soon enough I’m sure.” Even though he said this he did toss a very small bottle of water by Nate. “If you can get it and get it open then it’s yours.” The Negaverse officer said then waltzed over and crouched down by the civilian. “Poor little mouse, can’t do anything besides hang in my trap.” He mocked as he looked at the dirty and rather weak man.

Leucite felt off. Something bothered him about the night. Was it the calm? He felt the small ghost of paranoia run up his spine. Ever since his return to the City after dealing with a personal matter, learning of the attack on the Negaverse and his subsequent promotion to General, Leucite had been feeling… concerned about the lack of Senshi activity. Either they were laying low to avoid the righteous retribution of the Negaverse (which he would admit, would be the logical and sane option), or they were planning another attack against Negaspace. How they had entered it in the first place was unknown. But one thing was certain to Leucite: It would not happen again.
Feeling a weaker power signature nearby (this not being a place he usually patrolled, but his usual patrol routes were getting scarce of prey, so he needed to expand his territory) he moved toward it slowly. Perhaps the Lieutenant could use some pointers on the fine art of hunting, because he was staying far too stationary for this not to be an issue.
When he reached the area that the signature was centralized however, Leucite felt his hackles rise. This did not feel right. The agent should not have been this stationary for anywhere near this long. What was he hunting? Was he hurt?
Moving down to the building, Leucite moved to the door, and wrapped his knuckles hard against the surface. He did not speak, knowing full well his energy signature would do all the talking for him for the agent.

Nate did still wonder how someone with a toy mallet got the drop on him...and someone so short, too, yet there he was scowling up at his assailant. The idea of dying in his current state left a bad taste in his mouth, one he hoped the water would be able to wash down but when his captor threw the bottle it landed much too far away for him to reach.
"I hope you aren't expecting a 'thank you'," he said through gritted teeth, eyes falling on the bottle to his left for only a second before they snapped to the man that was now kneeling just to his right. The mocking did little to make him feel worse, but the man was close enough now that he tried to lunge at him, fighting once more against his restraints for a moment as he tried to get a hit in. If he were loose and able he'd more than likely beat the guy's face in…
But for now, when he realized that he was tied up rather well, he instead spat at the man, aiming for his face.
Quote:
Chaltoreite just smirked when Nate sassed him, not surprised that the civilian still had a good amount of fire left in him. Besides, it was more fun that he still struggled. His smirk dropped however when the other man spat at him and the spittle landed on his cheek. He wiped it off with the back of his hand calmly then with a flare of rage grabbed Nate by the chin. “Do that again and I’ll take your very soul out. Slowly and painfully.” He promised in a dangerous purr. While he had his hold on the beaten man he made sure to draw energy from him just to help prove his point that he could do anything he wanted. So focused on showing his superiority that he completely missed the power signal of the General.
Quote:
Having heard no reply, and expecting the worst, Leucite summoned his spear and stook a step back, then he kicked hard at the door, once, twice, three times before it flew open with a loud slam. Leucite entered the room, spear ready to run any possible assailant through… Only to witness a scene that turned his stomach and made his blood run cold.
“What is going on here!” His voice barked demandingly, going into full parade mode and leveling a wrathful gaze at the Lieutenant draining what appeared to be a chained up individual. Obviously not a knight or a senshi by any stretch of the imagination.
“Drop him, and explain yourself - NOW - Lieutenant.”

“Drop him, and explain yourself - NOW - Lieutenant.”
Nate went eye to the eye with the man when he was pulled up by his chin, defiance clear in his expression. He hadn't lost hope of escaping just yet, but it looked grim enough that he was fine with taking this kind of risk, if for no other reason than a little bit of personal satisfaction. He clenched his jaw, his lip curling at the man's threat against his life. He wasn't so scared of dying really, but at the hands of a coward seemed less than he deserved. All those years of pulling himself out of the gutter only to die like this?
That just wasn't fair.
And to make matters worse, once the threat was delivered he felt his energy slowly draining again, his body once more feeling like it was burning from the inside out. What should have been cries of pain he fought down to strained groans, and he stared straight into the other man's eyes until he couldn't anymore, his vision already fading to black for the umpteenth time since he first found himself chained up like this. By the time someone else barged in he could barely keep himself awake, but he did register the word "lieutenant" and scoffed.
"So you're military?" he muttered with a smirk, words slurred together. "They assign toy mallets to the weaker ones I'm guessing. Appropriate."
Quote:
Chaltoreite smirked in response to the defiant look in the man’s eyes as he was being drained, taking pleasure in the fact that stealing his energy was making the civilian’s situation worse. His smirk dropped and the draining of energy stopped abruptly when the General barged in. He dropped his hand from the grip he had on Nate’s chin then spun around as he stood up correctly and faced the angry Leucite. It took him a moment to get his suddenly dry mouth to work but when he did the Lieutenant ignored the snark from behind him and instead focused on the General. “What is there to explain? I’m draining this waste of space for the glory of the Negaverse.” He said while puffing out his chest to make it seem like the tall General did not intimidate him.
Quote:
Leucite watched the Lieutenant for a moment, then closed the distance between them, dismissing is weapon as he did so. His hand moved fast, striking out to slap the Lieutenant hard across the face, open handed, and then returned on the back swing to likewise smash into his face with a backhand. “You insufferable idiot!”
Leucite could feel his blood boiling. He grabbed the Lieutenant and shoved him down onto the floor, his gaze locking with his as he growled. “SIT.”
Turning to look at Nate with a concerned frown he once more turned to look at the Lieutenant. “The keys. Where are they.”
This was not how the Negaverse would operate. Not if he had any say.

Chaltoreite was not expecting the General’s reaction so he didn’t have a chance to move as Leucite was smacking him around. The two hits left him almost dizzy and slumping to the floor holding his cheeks with a glare on his face. How dare this guy come in here and reprimand him?! He was doing his job for the glory of the Negaverse! Who cared if some weak, pathetic civilian got beat up and drained?! When Leucite demanded the keys he gave a huff but did answer. “Hanging on the hook by the door.” He had purposefully left them hanging in plain sight of Nate. Leaving them where they could be seen and not reached.
He found it odd that as soon as the "lieutenant" had dropped him, the feeling of being drained immediately went away. That couldn't have been normal...but then again he'd been captive for however long now. Maybe he was just imagining things.
It didn't matter why it stopped though, just that it did, and hearing his captor being reprimanded brought him an even greater sense of satisfaction. Enough that a laugh actually bubbled up out of him, weak but clearly amused at something, and he managed to look up and see the one responsible for the reprimanding.
"Doesn't seem fitting enough, a couple of measly whacks to the face," he slurred, eyes flickering to the significantly smaller figure of the lieutenant past the tall man that now stood over him. "I vote you tie him up and let him hang around like me for a couple of days. See how he likes it."
Quote:
A couple of days? That only gave Leucite’s rage more fuel and he stomped over to the key hanging by the door and pulled the ring down. Moving over to the chained man, he knelt down, undoing each chain, and then carefully, he helped him to his feet and then over by the door. “Rest here for a moment…” He said with a soft, concerned voice. Twirling the key in his hand for a moment he looked to the Lieutenant.
“Lock yourself in.” Leucite said, flat, angry eyes glaring at the Lieutenant. “Now.”
His tone did not allow for there to be any leeway.
“The Negaverse does not condone the torture of civilians, whoever brought you in should have made that abundantly clear. Our sole purpose is to protect the people of this planet. We draw energy from some yes - but we do not chain them to walls. You will be thoroughly punished…”
His eyes drifted toward Nate however and a small smile came to his face, a cruel thing. It took a lot of energy to withstand days of torture, of being drained and weakened to the point that Nate was at… Leucite wondered…
“What’s your name?” He asked the man who had since been chained up. “And would you like a chance at glory?”

Chaltoreite huffed again when the General went and undid the chains of his captive then proceeded to order him, HIM!, to chain himself to the wall. The lecture that came from Leucite went in one ear and out the other as the Lieutenant looked between the General, the civilian, and the chains. Like HELL he was going to let this a** come in, ruin something that had been working well for him, and order him around let alone order him to chain himself. Instead of following the orders he got to his feet and crossed his arms, self importance shining through clearly in his eyes. “I refuse. The Negaverse demands energy and I will damn well get it my way.”
When his chains finally came undone Nate gave a quiet, suffering groan. His shoulders finally felt like they weren't about the pulled right out of their sockets, and he could finally hold his head up right (mostly...he was exhausted) without feeling like he was craning his neck. His body was still slack though, rife with signs of torture alongside dehydration and starvation, so he let his rescuer lead the way until he was left to lean against the door jamb and instructed to rest.
"Can do," he said weakly, taking deep breaths to try and get himself together. It helped that he had experience with extreme exhaustion, though never to such a painful extent, so he knew some simple deep breathing techniques that helped him manage. He was content to watch from the sidelines for now, though the more he felt the marks left by the chains around his wrist the less content he became with that. So much so that when his rescuer approached him again he nearly huffed.
"Name's Nate," he replied, lip curling as he flickered his gaze over to his captor, the mouthy little dipshit. Seems he wasn't one to take orders from anyone? That worked to his advantage in this case, considering how pissed his rescuer was. "And if that means I get to beat the living snot outta that a*****e then yeah, I want a chance at that kinda glory."
Quote:
“Something to that effect, yes.” Leucite had started to say, when the Lieutenant spoke in a tone that sent a sharp, hot flash of renewed rage through him. Wheeling, he struck out again, this time with a fist to the side of the other man’s temple followed up by a knee to his gut. Then, teleporting behind him, he grabbed him by the back of the neck, gripping hard and lifted, his other arm moving to grab his wrist and pull his arm behind his back, guiding him down to the chains.
Leucite then went through the process of chaining the Lieutenant to the wall, and then growled in his ear before rising. “We demand energy yes, but not at the cost of a civilian's freedom. Then we’re no better than the White Moon.”
Rising up, he stepped around the Lieutenant and approached Nate again, crouching down he offered the other man a hand. “Can you stand?” he asked, watching his face. “Because I’m willing to give you a chance at glory, but you’ve got to show me you’re body is capable of taking it.”

Once again the General moved too fast for Chaltoreite to react and his world exploded into pain. When he was able to focus past it he was already chained up when his prisoner had been not three minutes ago. He glared up at Leucite for being treated this way. How dare he! How dare he seem to think that pathetic civilian’s life was worth even a fraction of his! “Puh-lease, White Moon dipshits don’t and can’t drain people, nor do they take starseeds. You’re delusional if you think that we are any better than them anyway.” He spat at the ground. In his opinion any faction in the war was no better than the other’s in methods, though of course any side he was on had a better chance at winning just because he was with them. Once it finally registered just what Leucite and Nate were talking about the Lieutenant started to curse and try to escape the chains.
Nate didn't so much as wince as he watched the lieutenant get kicked around and subsequently chained. In fact, there was a definite sense of satisfaction and justice about the scene, at least if anyone asked for his opinion. He might even say that this was hardly enough karma to balance out the suffering he'd gone through at the hands of said lieutenant.
He took the offered hand with yet another quiet groan, offering a muttered "thanks" before he straightened himself as best he could. He looked like s**t, he was certain of that much, but he was strong enough still that he could stand on his own two feet. Maybe deal a bit of justice on his own if he was given the chance, and it looked like he'd be getting that chance if he could hold it together and possibly not pass out.
"Standing," he said once he hopped in place a couple of times to wake himself up. The sudden weight on his knees and ankles was painful but nothing he couldn't handle. It gave him reason enough to take his attention away from all the ruckus the lieutenant was causing, and when he felt ready he looked at the chained-up man and smirked.
"Anyway, whatever it is, I can take it. If not I'd probably be dead already, all things considered."
Quote:
“Which is probably the only reason I’m suggesting this, since it shows you have potential… and strength.” Leucite said, rising to his own feet as the other man did. Standing he looked at him for a moment. “This will not be pleasant. It will tax you and it will feel unlike any pain you have ever experienced. But if you survive, you will become stronger than you could have ever dreamed…”
His hackles rose as the Lieutenant spoke, and turning to the chained man, grabbed him by the hair and bashed his head into a vicious knee, possibly breaking the other man’s nose and if nothing else - hopefully shutting him up for a few minutes. “Do not… ever… compare the Negaverse and White Moon like that again, you damn rabid dog.” He spat angrily, turning back to Nate and nodding his head.
“Well then Nate, Step forward and take up the Mantle of Righteousness and Glory.”
He held his hand out to the other man, as if to take it, waiting for him to step into the space that awaited him before the door.

The brief explanation into the pain he'd be feeling was a little intimidating, but it was a little hard to imagine any kind of pain more severe than what he'd just been through so the thought gave him little pause. Instead he listened intently, eyes occasionally flickering to the chained-up lieutenant.
"No pain, no gain, huh?" he said with a huff.
Nate nodded his head a few times as if to affirm that he was going to go through with this before he took a step toward his rescuer, then another and another until he was standing right in front of the man's outstretched hand with a curious expression. Waiting, maybe a little anxious...
"So am I waiting for something or...?"
Quote:
“This,” A single word that held tons of weight, as Leucite plunged his outstretched hand into Nate’s chest. With practiced ease he gripped the starseed, and with a content sigh, began to pour chaos into the seed, hoping against hope that the man would be able to withstand the pain and the power coursing into him, that the starseed wouldn’t crack and he wouldn’t have to dust an abomination of his own creation.
The pain that Nate would feel as the chaos energy corrupted his starseed would be immense, more than even the pain that he had probably felt when Leucite had gripped it in his hand.
Leucite was heartened however, and once it was done, he removed his hand from the chest of the new Lieutenant he had just created and with a smile, he bowed his head.
“Welcome to the Negaverse.”

“Welcome to the Negaverse.”
Pain, unimaginable.
The kind that would normally bring a man to tears or simply cause him to black out completely after more than a few seconds of it, but no. Nate fought it all down, bit it back as best he could while this man took hold of something inside of him and pumped it full of something. Energy it felt like; it burned something fierce, similar to what he felt earlier, except this time he felt himself getting stronger. It was overwhelming to say the least, and when the man finally released him he quickly fell to his knees, breathing heavy but the exhaustion, the pain from his wounds slowly ebbing away.

His insides still felt like they were quite literally on fire, but even that faded and soon he was able to stand, certainly stronger now and more rejuvenated than he thought was possible in only a matter of minutes.
"You weren't kidding," he managed at last, eyes downcast at first and more than a little surprised at the sudden outfit change. It was the most obvious change, but before long his gaze returned to Leucite and he smirked. "But I'm alive and breathing. What now?"
Quote:
Leucite grinned at the new Lieutenant and then turned to the one chained up to the wall, who had thankfully been somewhat silence by his earlier actions and he supposed, would serve both as a good lesson for the new Lieutenant and a warning… for why one did not cross the Negaverse and fail in your duty to the people.
“Well, I think, that I will start by teaching you the important parts of your new duty, as well as allow you to experience - in a safe, controlled environment - the process of gathering energy, and collecting starseeds.”
Turning to the chained Lieutenant, he bowed his head. “The first thing I want you to do, is place your hand against this worthless excuse of a Lieutenant’s chest, and focus, on drawing out his inner energy. It should come to you in a trickle at first, but soon you will be able to draw it out in a solid torrent, and gather it into an orb for later turn in or self consumption.”

Oh hell no! While Chaltoreite had fallen quiet thanks to the hits to his face, along with shedding some tears and a few muttered threats and curses under his breath, he was not about to keep quiet when the a** of a General ordered the previous captive to drain him while mentioning starseed collection. He thrashed about in the chains in an attempt to escape, throwing out threats left and right.
Learning. That was always the good and smart thing to do when confronted with new things. Another good thing: a willing teacher. He was lucky to have found both in this man, whom he decided had earned his loyalty earlier, when he saved his life. Carminite gave a nod of his head and approached the lieutenant, backhanding him more with his forearm than his actual hand to deal a bit of extra damage with the gauntlets he found himself equipped with.
He then followed the instruction exactly as it was told, though he did give the chained-up lieutenant a smug look as he lay his hand calmly on the man's chest. "So this is what you were doin' to me before?" he asked, eyes narrowing as he focused. As promised, he felt the energy first as a trickle before it started to really flow. It pooled into a fascinating, glowing orb that he took hold of as soon as it looked big enough to be of significant use. This...well, this was a little more satisfying, he found, than simply beating the man to a pulp. This was what caused him to repeatedly black out, and he was more than happy to return the favor for as long as the general would allow him.
With the orb in hand Carminite took a step back and glanced over at his newfound mentor. "Guess I should be glad he isn't one of those freak pervs. So," and he tossed the orb up like it was a simple toy marble. It must have some worth if they were meant to collect energy like this to either turn in or use, but if it was this easy to gather...
"How'd I do?"
Quote:
“You did well, you will of course need to practice this more often, but I think we can move on to the next lesson for now.” Leucite said with a small nod. He hated to cannibalize the Negaverse this way, but this Lieutenant was proving to be more and more of a mad dog and he would not let such a thing taint the Negaverse. Not now. Not after it had already been so grievously hurt by the the Senshi and their allies.
Clicking his tongue for a second he smiled. “Go ahead and pocket that orb for now, I’ll show you how to properly use it later, but for now, we’re going to move on to the next step. This one will probably take some time, so don’t worry if you don’t get it on the first try.”
Nodding his head he motioned to the chained up Lieutenant again. “What is your name, Lieutenant?”
After all, he would need to write an after action report for this. The joys of paperwork.

Chaltoreite gave a defiant glare to Leucite even as he fought to keep from wobbling from the energy drain. “And why should I give it? You’re going to have your new pet kill me anyway.” He spat out.
Quote:
Leucite growled. “Because I am your superior officer and if you had any sense in that empty head of yours you’d be holding to hell and back that I took some pity on you and didn’t let him keep your starseed as a souvenir and simply returned you to your General a bit cowed and better mannered.” It was obvious he was not about to take any amount of insubordination from this Lieutenant. “Or would you rather I torture it out of you? Right now I am considering you a rogue agent and a mad dog to boot, showing a bit of humanity and humility would earn you a chance at redemption rather than retribution.”
Quote:
Chaltoreite gave a disbelieving huff that the General would give back his starseed once this was over but the large streak that was a mix of cowardice and self-preservation had him speaking up. “Chaltoreite.”
Quote:
“Thank you, Lieutenant Chaltoreite, I will make a note of your cooperation.” Turning his attention back to the other Lieutenant he continued his lesson. “Now then, where were we… ah yes.”
Turning again to Chaltorite he said. “Place your hand on Chaltorite’s chest like before, only this time, you’re going to will your hand through it, into his chest, and you’re going to look for the center of his being, his core. It is called a Starseed and is very fragile, so don’t squeeze too hard once you have a hold of it. Once you have it in your hand, we’ll continue the lesson.”

He'd been silently watching, taking mental notes. It seemed like it was a military operation, given there was a ranking system. Obviously his mentor was of a higher rank than himself or Chaltoreite, which seemed appropriate given the way he'd been giving orders. Reasonable ones that were in his favor, of course, so he didn't question it at all. If anything, it was nice to see someone putting the short b*****d in his place.
When the lieutenant finally gave his name Carminite stood at attention once more, nodding his head once the instructions registered and he filed away the term "starseed." It was mentioned earlier, and while he figured he could ask exactly what it was later on he had a feeling the general would be explaining it soon enough so he held his curiosity.
The newby lieutenant stepped forward again and replaced his hand on Chaltoreite's chest, pulling his focus on the task now at hand before he met the man's eye. "I hope this hurts like hell," he said with a distasteful curl of his lip just before he plunged his hand inside of him, searching for a few moments until he finally found what he was looking for. There, at the very core of this man's being, was the fragile crystal that Leucite had said would be there, and he took hold of it with care as he was told do.
"I've got it, sir," he said, just then deciding that a "sir" was appropriate with the rank system in play. "What happens if I squeeze too hard?"
Quote:
“It shatters and he dies.” Leucite said with a very flat tone. “And the starseed cannot be used, so be sure to treat it with the utmost care.” his tone was probably a bit more terse than he meant it to be but… He wanted to make that abundantly clear.
“Now, while still holding onto the starseed, I want you to remove your arm from his chest.” He said with a slightly less terse tone this time, as if to make up for the earlier sharpness. “Nice and easy, no need to rush things.”
“Now, while still holding onto the starseed, I want you to remove your arm from his chest.” He said with a slightly less terse tone this time, as if to make up for the earlier sharpness. “Nice and easy, no need to rush things.”
"Ah," he muttered, meeting the lieutenant's eye again before he did as he was told. Slowly, perhaps to the point of exaggeration, and with as light a hold as possible without letting go, Carminite pulled his arm out of the man's chest. It came out with relative ease, much to his surprise, the entire time staying eye to eye with the man.
Quote:
The feeling of having someone reach into your chest for your starseed was not a pleasant one in the least. Chaltoreite gritted his teeth to keep from yelling out in pain when his soul was grasped, refusing to give in and make any sounds. Of course this quickly changed when the General gave the order to pull it out and the newly minted Lieutenant did just that. He gave out a yell that was a mix of pain and anger, any words that he might have made in there was lost to wordless screaming before he just went completely silent when it was out of his chest completely. The man’s body slumped down against the wall with blank eyes like a discarded doll.
The look on Chaltoreite's face was priceless, and his screams brought Carminite even more satisfaction. Still, when those screams came to a grinding halt and the man, who had just only moments earlier been thrashing against his restraints, suddenly fell like some kind of a limp noodle, Carminite hesitated. He held the crystal carefully and straightened himself out, expression a mix of hesitation and worry.
It wasn't normal, he could sense it, the way it all just stopped and everything was quiet again. He'd seen it before, been around it before; it was a hazard of his profession, so the question came wordlessly as he looked toward his mentor.

“You now have, in your hand, the very core of Chaltoreite’s being. His soul. His starseed.” Leucite said, watching the new Lieutenant with a somewhat analyzing look. “I will then, now, present you with a choice.” He said, slowly. “Personally, I view our compatriot Chaltoreite here as a potential threat to the Negaverse. I do not think he would have lived up to his potential, and only brought shame to the organization as a whole.”
He waved a hand at the limp body in dismissal. “He will die, in due course, without his soul. His body will shut down and he will no longer be a threat. Or, if you think he can be rehabilitated and brought back into the righteous side of the Negaverse, the true path to glory… Then by all means, return his soul to him. You suffered at his hands, and I believe that when you torture someone, when you are tortured, you get to see the deepest part of their being. So then… I leave his life in your hands.”
Bowing his head he held out a hand. “Either return the starseed to his body, or give it to me, and we will go from there.”

Carminite listened carefully, let the gravity of what just happene fall on him as Leucite proceeded to explain what he'd just done and what options he had now that he was holding the very soul of a fellow human being in his hand. While it never occurred to him to question it at the time, right in that instant when he was presented with his choices he finally thought to pause and give it some proper thought. Blind obedience had never been his thing, but he owed his life to this man, who he now considered his mentor since he was the one that brought him into the folds of the Negaverse. It was obvious to him where his loyalties would lie from this point forward.
It took him a minute to wrap his head around the situation, but he eventually came to a decision. Carminite closed his hand around the crystal and cleared his throat, meeting the general's eye for the first time that night.
"If he ever woke up from this it'll be my life or his at some point, so I'll take the advantage while I have it," he answered finally. "But I'd like to hold onto this if that's alright. I'm not one for sentiments but it is my first one and all. It's more than a little memorable.

Leucite chuckled a bit and closed his hand. “I suppose we can allow that…” He said, before nodding his head and motioning for the Lieutenant to join him. “Come, we have a lot to discuss and not a lot of time to discuss it in. I’m sure you’re tired and want to go home.”
If nothing else, he would get this new Lieutenant situated and then return home himself. But the first order of business was to take him to Negaspace, preferably without passing out from overtaxing himself. He was still fairly tired from corrupting the man, but he supposed getting him squared away wouldn’t be a bit ordeal.

Now with permission, Carminite pocketed the crystal in one of the myriad of pockets he had on his uniform before moving to stand beside his mentor, nodding slightly. He had a few questions of his own, or he would anyway given a bit of time and perhaps a few more bits and pieces of information about the new world he seemed to be stepping into.
"That sounds like a plan," he said, though he left the thought of calling in sick to work out of the conversation. "Before anything else though, what do I call you?"

“Leucite, General Leucite” Leucite said with a nod, and once he was standing next to him, he placed a hand on his shoulder. “When we get to Negaspace, you can tell me yours.” He said with a chuckle. “Welcome to the Negaverse.”
With that, he teleported the both of them to Negaspace, in order to fully fill in the new Lieutenant as to what he had just signed up for.

"General Leucite," he repeated, the name rolling right off the tongue. It was similar to his own name, the one that came to him just moments after the pain from joining the Negaverse had started to ebb away, in that it also ended with an "-ite"; perhaps a pattern with officers of the Negaverse--he could ask later. He kept his personal introduction as instructed, and the next thing he knew he was standing in what seemed to be a city suffering a never-ending blackout.
He raised a brow in question, but quickly let it pass as soon as his feet settled on the ground properly. "And now that we're here," he said, bowing his head slightly in the general's direction.
"Carminite, at your service."
