((Two days after Kae was taken))
Asriel resisted the urge to turn around and do something else, anything else other than to keep his meeting with the last free meta on the base. The last free meta, if that didn't sound already ominous.
New rules from up high, something he hasn't exactly expected when he sent his inquiry forward. However, Kae had just been to perfectly placed at that point in time and Mara gave him no hint at all? Sure they had their differences but this was also important for him to know. The truth itself though... that was a lot more than he expected.
So that left him with Sona and Zira. One was easily found... was even partially tolerated because of the help she gave during the fire and the latter.. was nowhere to be found...great.
Reaching the meeting room, he adjusted the box under his arm and knocked before entering. He would give her the option, she would be the last one to have the option from now on. Stay and be collared or leave...

Kae was gone. She was alone.
She was by herself and mostly without purpose again. There was the request she was left with, but Kae would've told her when to do such a thing.
Or at least she assumed. She was terrible about timing things. The worst she feared was causing a lockdown and getting herself stuck somewhere. Not to mention what would happen after she kidnapped the kids and adult-sized grandson.
For now, she was requested to go to the meeting room for something she didn't know. Making her way through the door, paper and pen in tow, and her mind immediately looking into the mind's of others. It'd at least pay to cautious about this whole thing, she was new to this place.

Ashrel frown as he realized he had arrived before her, a good thing usually but not when you just want to get this over with. Putting the box on the meeting table he moved toward the windows at the far end of the room and stared at the courtyard below.
Kae said her name was Sona and she was seen helping with the fire but other than that he barely knew much about he,r other than what Kae had said. Kae ,unreliable Kae, who brought in their newest recruit that they almost knew nothing about. Likely ANOTHER spy considering their streak of luck.
Oh come on, where was she? It wasn't as if she had anything else to do and he needed to get back and deal with the rest of SIU before people just started leaving in the droves.
A soft click turned his attention sharply to the door and the meta that walked in. "Sona" he said with a slight nod of greetings as he turning away from the window and motion to the table. "This shouldn't be long"

She took a seat right onto the table. Something was happening at SIU obviously. People who had been here were leaving, traces of changes in administration being the huge reason. Where in the hell had Kae vanished off to?
She began writing on another slip of paper. Passing it off to Ashrel when she was done.
'What did you need me for?' It simply asked. Syth staring up at Ashrel as curious as ever to figure out what was going on.

The expectant look on Asriel's turned to one of confusion, disapproval then back to confusion as he watched Sona write. Finally glancing down at the slip of paper she passed toward him. She couldn't speak? He looked back at her perplex and sighed, no one mentioned that when being debriefed about the fire, other than she took control of the situation until one of the P.A arrived. Or she being ornery and just not wanting to speak now that Kae was not there.
"Well..." He blinked and pulled the box over to them before letting it go. "Kae has currently been placed on leave due to some discrepancies in some of her paperwork and I've been put in charge. Unfortunately she hasn't been seen since she left the base two days ago, you wouldn't happen to know where she is?" He asked friendly enough but it wasn't anything really heart felt as he watched Sona intently. Did she know what happened to Kae?

A shrug and some more scribbles from her. Honestly those were the same questions she's had.
'No, I haven't seen or heard from her since.' She ripped off another piece of paper. Pondering for a moment whether to write down more.
'Honestly, she never really gave me a job here either. Just to keep her company as an old friend,'
She passed on the piece of paper to Asriel, wondering how he'd think of her situation. She wasn't intent on leaving, considering she hadn't rescued Melody or Lucien. Hexxis was a lost cause by this point, having escaped already.

Asriel glance back down at the new paper and wonder how many notebooks she went through if she kept ripping off a new sheet for every answer. Heh... it's been a while since he ever had those type of thoughts. Focusing back on the statement he pushed both pieces of paper back at her and frowned.
"An old friend" he sounding unconvinced. "Then there might be no reason for you to stay. I am sure if you leave a phone number someone can contact you once she is found. " he motioned to the papers he had pushed back. " The SIU meta program is currently under going renovations. You watch the mess that was Parley" he narrowed his eyes. Parley had not been made public but after the deaths and the destruction of the resort there was just no way for them to hide it.
"Two of our most trusted were Renegade spies. So any new meta wishing to join will be required to wear one of these " he said opening the box to show a collar almost similar to Tris except in coloring this one was a dark muave. "If you wish to stay you will have to accept and fill out some additional paper work.. other wise. You are ...still free to go" he glanced toward the door then back, his mind wondering if she agreed if they would have to send her into training with the other three.

She eyed the collar with something akin to a death stare. Something about this just looked like a sinister plot to control her. Just requiring Metas to wear this... racist was the first thought to come to her mind as she tried to figure a way around this. She wanted to stay here and perhaps do some good work. She wasn't a part of Renegades, on account of the fact that Yoko had run off to join them.
Scribbling down on the notepad to try to convey her feelings to the man in front of her.
'Tell me what that collar does and what kind of training you have in mind,' She realized this way she was outing herself as a telepath, but she was given an option to walk away. Betting based on that fact alone she wouldn't be getting into a fight.

Asriel looked down at the new note as his brows lifted. He didn't mention training.... "The collar was as we had with T-...one of our previous metas. It will remain inactive unless there is a reason we need to activate it. It will inhibit your powers encase you become a danger to us" he said calmly but his eyes were looking at her shrewdly. She didn't look upset but again training? how did she know that. "but I never said anything about training..." he said narrowing his eyes now.

She had to do everything she could to not smile at his response. Noting how he was narrowing his eyes. A collar that would inhibit her powers? They had that kind of technology now? Then again her kind have been around for twenty years so they could've figured a way to do it, especially with a common kind of meta.
'This facility has been more of a danger to me than I have of it,' She wrote down on a slip and passed it to him. They didn't know of her prior murderous intent, but they all knew about her helping out with the fire. 'Just be honest about your intentions and what you have in mind. I'm sure you meeting me here by yourself means you have trust in me and I have no reasons to void this trust.'

If that was written somehow to comfort him it had the complete opposite effected as he tensed and automatically regretted coming up here alone. All three armor units were busy and he couldn't ask anyone else to come help him without the risk of someone accidentally getting an itchy finger or just not being at all equipped to handle a meta at all. Things were just that bad.
"The collar is as I said " ignoring the part of the training since she must have just guessed and was trying to get info. "If you don't agree you can walk. No strings attached. " he said narrowing his eyes a bit. "This place hasn't become a good area for metas. You should know that " There was Melody..daughter of Rasiel. There was Leukos son of Lucien and then there was Lucien. All of them Bounties or related to bounties, Sona was the only one who had no relation other than Kae and less of a risk.

Aaaaaaah, there was some sort of irony in that statement. She was Rasiel's brother-in-law and Lucien's mother... rather one of his mothers.
If she could be called that.
Taking a deep breath to think about this. Training none of the other Metas knew about. A collar that could sap her power when necessary. It was all a terrible idea to accept. But Melody was here, her only path to Alice if Kae was to be believed.
Writing on her notepad to Asriel with so much a sigh.
'I want to help make it a better place. A safer place for all Metas. I will work with you. But if I want it off I want to be able to take it off.'

Asriel was tense as he looked at her for a long moment before glancing down at the notepad, frowning in confusion as he read what was on there. She wanted t help even knowing about the collar... but she wanted the collar to be like a necklace that she could take off and on...which would make having the collar to protect them pretty pointless.
"Thank you for the support but we can't make it easy for you to take off. It pretty much negates having it at all". he said with a frown, his mind going to Mara knowing she might have tried something else.. like what? Then again there was still always the chance of her being a spy ..Kae's old friend. It might work in their favor anyways if they do keep her a while longer. Just out of everyone's way ...maybe if they need some leverage against Kae. "I can put a request in. You can wait here..but you will be restricted to just your room"

She heard his thoughts, freaking out about what he had thought. He thought she was a spy. He kept on pushing about the collar.
She was tugging on her hair, trying to resisting giving in. Ugh, Kae would be so pissed off at her for doing this but she wasn't gaining anything by being a spy. She still needed to know where someone was to talk to them telepathically.
"Just no, no, no, no," She spoke up telepathically to Asriel, frustrated by the notepad, "Why would I want to sit in my room and what use would a collar be to you that was intended on subduing my powers if I could just take it off willy nilly"
"I will help," She repeated, "I don't need any meta-based training to reinforce that. I'm not a spy and I don't give two shits about some Renegades teenagers terrorizing this place causing a ruckus and getting Melody shot at!"
The door slammed shut after her last sentence, her hands balled up as she began to take in deep breath to keep herself calm, "I want to help. Kae said this place was to help Metas and Humans."

How was she talking without mo-....s**t..shitshithshit she could read his thoughts...and she was reading this to. Darn it! His mind was in a panic as he took a step back, eyes wide as he tried to think of something while at the same time not trying to think of something jumping in fright as the door slammed behind him. Sooo stupid not coming here with out one of the armor units.
"You're in my mind! Damn it..Get out Get Out!!!! That's for your safety and ours. Just get out!" Mara would think this useful ...she was stupid enough to do that....and a telepath they could con- nonononononononono she could hear this la la la uh s**t!!!! Taking another step back as he tried to find his walki-talkie.
