Downward Slash: A powerful downward thrust, this attack gives you an additional +3 to dmg only. This can only be used once every 3 turns. Is considered a full action.
Three Wonders: Three wonders involves three moves. A thrust, a wide cut and then a close cut. Dmg and to hit is only rolled once as normal. But each 'to hit' is reduced by 5. Example: you roll 21 total to hit. first attack hits. second attack is reduced by 5 and is only 16 third is reduced again by 5 and is then 11. The likeliness of all three attacks hitting is slim but greater for 3-4 stage's. Dmg total is reduced in half twice.
Original dmg = first hit dmg halved = second hit dmg halved yet again = third hit
This is considered a FULL action and can only be used once every 5 turns. All dodges must be rolled separately for each attack being dodged and must be in order of attacks. First roll reflects first attack, second for second ect. Powering up should be factored into the first attack. Attack two and three will be halved from that first amount.

Biroki strode out into the arena with some caution. The last tourney was so long ago that Biroki didn't remember it at all. Had he done well? Had he not?
All that was irrelevant. He had an example to uphold for his apprentice and his ex wife, and he would try not to fail him. He paused, a moment, to look over his opponent. A knight.
Oban.
"I'll give you no q-quarter, Oban." he said, as ferociously as he could, aiming his staff at her, "Prepare yourself!"
The air around him made a tortured crackling sound as the battle's start was called. That was the only further warning before, with a sudden gesture at Shalvesta, Biroki loosed a torrent of blinding-hot lightning at her!

Shalvesta will Trip! 1 + 12 = 13 Biroki must roll at least an 8 to avoid the trip! 8+6 = 14
Shalvesta had known that fights here in this tournament would be in a league of their own, nothing like the measly tavern brawls she'd been wrapped up in for the past ten years. If there was any reminder of how little actual training she had done, it was now - as a foreigner launched a wave of lightening in her direction.
His apparent outrage at seeing an Oban in the ring as enough to fuel his magic, and it was all she could do to launch herself out of the way - and even then, she felt the telltale tingle and resulting burn of electricity shooting from the tip of her flesh, down through the soles of her sandals. Flinching, the woman fell into a roll from her dodge, coming out on her feet - closer to her opponent than she had anticipated.
It was clear she was outmatched, but if Shalvesta could land at least one hit...
Which was all well and good, if she could avoid being hit in the first place. As it was, she needed to buy herself some time - and so, she swept out a blow with the blunt side of her sword, intent on tripping him.
Biroki used Flame lvl 2! 12+15 = HIT 7+15 = 22 = 11 damage incoming! 8= no status effect

Biroki leapt, moving his feet clear. He saw an opening, a way to strike, and he took it. The air around him suddenly blazed with embers as he shoved a mass of flame at her, preparing to dodge at the same time - he didn't expect anything less than a rapid riposte.
He said nothing, his face stony yet fierce, his focus on his magic. It had to be controlled - Oban or not, he was not here to kill... Was she?

Shalvesta will use Three Wonders!! Attack 1: 13 + 12 = 25 | HIT! Attack 1: 11 + 12 = 11.5 dmg
Unfortunately, her opponent sailed over her trip as if it was only a minor inconvenience, magic at his fingertips ready to sear her into submission. As it was, she had little choice but to take the hit, wincing at the heat of the flames as they hit her, full on. Fortunately, she hadn't been burned - a wound such as that would have her down and out in no time. As it was, she was growing more and more certain that she would be bested by this magic user. As unfortunate as it was, she had gotten far too rusty over time, and had never had much experience fighting magic users, and it left her at a severe disadvantage against an obviously skilled mage.
Frustrated at her own inadequacy, Shalvesta exhaled a sharp breath, forcing the sting of her wounds from her mind, and instead shot back with a forward thrust, followed by a sweep of her blade. She attempted a third move, in quick succession, but the muscles of her arm protested midswing and she had to quit the move mid motion. This, hopefully, would at least land a hit in her favor.
Biroki attempts to dodge three wonders! Dodge 1: 20+6=26 NO DAMAGE Dodge 2: 4+6= 10 = FULL DAMAGE The third attack missed: Total Damage: 5.75 damage taken

Biroki's eyes widened in surprise as the Oban unleased a flurry of carefully timed sword strikes. He caught the first on his staff, parrying powerfully. But, as his arms were still ringing from the force of the sword strike, another came and scraped his abdomen, leaving a line of cut skin and sudden pain. Biroki stepped out of the way in time to avoid the third hit and, clenching his hand into a fist, he summoned elemental leylines around the Oban into a gathering storm. It would be a storm of fire, and for now the heat hung around her, dry and heavy. He took a brief moment to check on his wound - It bled, but it didn't seem too bad - before watching her (and the shimmer in the air that was his trap) with wary respect...

Shalvesta will use Downward Slash!! 8 + 12 = 20 | HIT 14 + 12 = 26 / 2 = 13 + 3 from Downward Slash = 16 dmg
It hit. Or, at least, one of her attacks did. It seemed to do very little in the way of damage, and yet Shalvesta felt as if a weight had dropped from her shoulders. She had hit him, at least once, and so she felt she would be able to leave this battle with her head held high, even if she did lose.
Releasing a tense breath, Shalvesta eyed him warily, not able to sense exactly what he had done, though the hairs on her arms pricked, and she felt enveloped by a certain measure of unease. Perhaps it was just the fear of the unknown - he had already summoned such magic from his fingertips that she was uncertain of what would come next.
Either way, she had little to lose as they continued their fight. Her strongest attack had been deflected, but she readied another - advancing swiftly on her foe with her sword held ready. At the last moment, as she leapt at him, she shifted her sword and clutched it with both hands, thrusting downwards with the weight of her body behind it.
She expected him to dodge, but at the very least she was going to put her all into it, for now!
Her sudden attack left him little room to maneuver - he dodged, strafing sideways, and he felt a new wound open. Not good, but not terrible either. She hadn't gotten him completely yet...

Biroki kept his eyes on his foe as he called forth a magic he did not often use. The ground responded to his gesture, the sand and soil below leaping like a beast to his gesture, bearing down towards Shalvesta like a wave on a beach.
