Her mother had come inside to get her, saying that there was someone she wanted her to meet, so Masika put down her pearls and made her way out the door. The girl had obvious signs of being a hybrid; Her antennae marked her as Alkidike but her coloring said Matorian. When Masi saw Eleina she blinked for a moment then smiled widely. "Hello, I'm Masika." Her hand extended toward the Oban girl in greeting. "You're a friend of my mothers?" The girl was curious.

Of course at that point Dem appeared behind her and was smiling as well. The full Alk woman gave a nod toward Eleina then found a seat to the side where she could relax with her familiars. Masika glanced at her mother then back to the girl. "Did my mother try to adopt you too?" A giggle escaped her as she thought about Draven, another person her mother had brought home.

So this girl had seen her mother out with the familiars. Masika gave another giggle at that. "That must have been quite the sight to see." After all, it wasn't every day one saw an Amazon training beasts. When the hand shake was finished she let her hand fall to her side. The blue hybrid listened to Eleina as she spoke then nodded her head, a light purple hue reaching her cheeks as she blushed. "Yes, you are very pretty. I've not really met any Obans."

Feeling somewhat awkward she gave another glance back at her mother before she gave Eleina her complete attention. "My muma likes having kids around. You should see how she is with younglings." Masika was fairly certain that if she and her sister got any older than her mother would get depressed. "Are you from around here?"

"Oh. Muma likes to make sure her familiars are perfect." So she didn't doubt that Dem said that they needed more work. Masika then reached up and touched the dots under her eyes. She loved her speckles. They were almost like her dads. "Thanks. You do have some though. And they are so light! My sister has the Alkidike markings like my mother." Another giggle passed through her lips and she covered her mouth quickly.

"I've only met a few other hybrids and only one of them had Matori in their line." She was still excited though. "I'm curious. I thought Obans didn't like Matorians?" When Masika heard her mother clear her throat she ducked her head slightly and cringed. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that."

"Mhm. My sister's skin is like my mother's and mine is like my father's. Or at least color wise. I do have the fading like Muma." Not that Eleina would need it but Masika lifted her arm up to show the lighter color of blue that faded around her elbow into the darker color. Then she smiled.

"Oh! Love is powerful." She nodded her head in agreement. Of course she had only ever heard stories of her own parents' love. "I hope I can find a love that strong someday." That wouldn't be for a while since she was sure her mother was going to scare everyone away, but she could dream.

"So you grew up in Oba? What's it like?" While Dem didn't like it, Masika had a fascination with the other parts of Tendaji and she actually wanted to learn as much as she could about them.

"It'll be hard for me to find a love like that. My muma and my sister will likely chase everyone away." Masika grinned and took a step away from Dem just to make sure she wouldn't get a playful hit in retaliation.

Hearing about Oba made her look captivated. "I remember it being hot when we passed through it. We didn't go to any cities though! Really? That many stores!? Oh I want to go!" The idea that there were stores for everything made her want to head that way now. Masika wanted to shop! Find beautiful things for herself and her twin. Maybe even for her mother if she could convince the woman to wear something pretty. "Do you shop?"

"Oh, trust me, between her and my dad.. the standards are VERY high." Not that she minded so much. Masika knew it was because they loved her and her sister. Parents would be parents. Besides, she had an aunt that she could complain to about it later if she wanted.

"I would love to go shopping with you! If I can convince my muma to let me, that is." Her orange eyes went to look toward Dem to get an approval but it didn't look like the woman was just going to give in. Masika sighed but smiled toward Eleina. "I want to get a lovely anklet to go with my bracelet." Her wrist rotated to show off her yellow beaded accessory.

"Maybe I can get a familiar of my own while I'm there. Do they sell those in stores or do you have to catch one?" Her musings were said aloud but the question still stood. Masika wanted to know how she would go about getting a beast to be her companion.

The mentioning of her being older and being able to go had her looking at her mother as well. To which Dem seemed to give an thoughtful expression. Masika took that as a good sign and smiled; she even turned her grin on Eleina. "It's a date!" With a laugh she shifted her weight a little.

"Catching it myself huh? I might need help but I guess it won't be too bad. Maybe I can convince Galene to help me." Masika could always be sneaky and take her sister with her without telling her what they were doing. But that wasn't like her. More than likely she would end up telling her sibling that she really wanted something and watching as her sister caught it for her. "I usually don't like getting dirty but it might be fun to try and catch a beast." Too bad she couldn't tame a water beast. Then she could just swim out and capture it then stay by the water at all times!

She was pleased as punch when Eleina said she would visit each time she could. Masika was thankful that she was making friends! The fact that they were ybrids made it even better! "Normally Galene is around somewhere but for some reason today she's not." It had the blue girl looking toward the house with an odd look. Did her twin sneak out earlier or was she still sleeping somewhere inside? No, Masika was sure that her twin wasn't in the house.

"This is true. I probably could catch anything with my muma's help." A statement that had her eyeing her Alkidike mother with some scrutiny. Of course she had no idea her mother had already been looking for a good familiar for her.

"Do you have a familiar?" Now her beautiful face was upturned toward Eleina as she batted her lashes. It seemed she wanted know how this girl had gotten hers, if she had one.
