In his attempt at getting to know his "new home" better, Bob had dedicated most of Saturday to wandering around different parts of Destiny City, taking in the view and figuring out potential new hangout spots. Back at home, Robert was still working off a late night drinking binge, so the cat felt confident that he had plenty of time before his human would rise and begin seeking out his next meal's source.
It was during his travels that he came upon a curious looking shop - it appeared to be a cafe of sorts, but...more odd.
Large paws boosted himself up to peer into the shop's window, studying the creatures that roamed within. The staff wore funny outfits, the age group seemed to vary but settle on mostly young adults and...it looked suspiciously Asian themed. Bubble tea? What in the heck was that?
Curiosity getting the better of him (he was a cat, after all), he waited for an exiting patron to open the door, allowing him the opportunity to slip inside and investigate further.

Unknown to the pink haired General, she pushed the bar to pull the door inward, her heels clacking softly against the jingle of the decorated door. She wore the latest outfit, a Alice in Wonderland based one, to celebrate the new cinematic in a few weeks. That was this month's theme after all, Wonderland. Their drinks now had boba and jelly shaped in card suits, placed in bright purple striped cups.
So imagine her shock when a cat seemed to pause it's journey outside of the cafe.
She looked dumbly down as the orange patch walked past her feet, tail brushing ever so slightly against pale thin ankles. She was the manager, but wait, were pets even allowed?
Before she had time to debate that thought, a herd of "oohs," "ahhs," and cooing went on as the latest intruder sauntered his way through. Customers immediately thought it was part of the attraction, a tie wearing cat, giggling and taking photos. Blinking, Serah leaned down to crouch in front of the cat, with a skeptical glance. She looked left and right for the collar, trying to catch a glimpse, recognizing there was none.
"..I wonder what brings you here, it's not a common neighborhood for kitties." She held her hand slowly, extending it outwards. "Does your tie have your owner's name?"
Well, the cat wasn't going to speak to her but you know, it was important to check, especially in her universe.

He had absolutely no idea what he'd walked his furry little butt into.
The first chick had been cute, in one of those weird Japanese cartoon sort of way. Pink hair wasn't the most normal shades around, but the outfit was definitely out there. Yet, as he walked further into the cafe, her outfit seemed to fit right in with the others and it took him a few moments to realize why they looked so familiar.
Down the rabbit hole, Bob seemed to have fallen.
His entrance hadn't gone unnoticed, clearly, as the first flash blinded his poor eyes. Ears flattened themselves against his head until the ginger cat was finally able to put two and two together and realize why the customers were so excited.
"Look at his tie!"
"He must be their Cheshire Cat!"
The ears perked up, the tiny tufts of hair at the top pointing tall as the cat himself straightened upwards, equivalent to a soldier standing at attention. He found himself thoroughly enjoying the feminine attention he was receiving, that is, until the main Alice bent over to have a face-to-face chat.
Her hand reached out for his tie and he dipped forward to dodge the approach. Instead, his furry head began to nuzzle against her slender fingers while his chest erupted in the loudest, most exaggerated purr that he could summon. Her fingertips brushed against his forehead, pushing away long strands of orange to reveal the black star mark more clearly.
This created only more attention, girls finding the birthmark even more precious in the cafe's new little mascot.
"Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrowwww." He proclaimed happily, practically lapping up all of the attention. Heck, why didn't every restaurant treat him like this? Where had this cafe been, all his life???

Her fingers curled against his ginger fur, tips enjoying the soft strands against her knuckles. In an automatic receptive gesture, her fingers moved upwards to pet behind his ears when it revealed the black star. The glimmer of obsidian black caught her eye first, before the shape did.
Oh. Oh.
As she realized what exactly this newcomer was, the simultaneous sensation,a prickle that tickled your spine, as if someone was watching you intensively. A lazy glance around her fellow coworkers revealed that nobody else had registered the aesthetic mark in the same manner she did. Serah's eyes narrowed as she caught sight of several customers reaching into their purses, intending to take selfies with their newest guest. Her best customer service smile was prepared, fingers dipping under the loudly preening cat's stomach.
Without a second thought, she scooped the cat into her arms, shielding the star mark from view. It simply wouldn't do, if it was posted on Instagram with the store's location. Then, the negaverse's new cat wouldn't be quite so secret anymore to the wrong eyes.
"I'm sure this cheshire cat will make a return -- he is a a limited time special after all!"
She held their new chesire cat tightly, as she rounded the back of the store, sure that their conversation wouldn't be overheard or seen. After all, the cat sure wasn't going to be the one sent to an insane asylum if they were caught. She paused after closing the door, her tone cheerful, eyebrows raising. She tipped her head, fingers still scratching affectionately behind his ears.
"I'm not sure if that was careless or genius, mister negaverse kitty."

He was fine with being plucked up from the ground (after all, this gave him a much better view of his surroundings), but as the woman scurried off with him towards the back room, he started to wiggle and squirm with determination. A soft noise of discontent came out of his throat as he struggled to return to the attention at the front of the cafe, but it was clear that the pink-haired manager was having none of it.
It wasn't until she'd returned to scratching his head that she finally revealed her secret. Well, his secret, rather.
The jig was up.
Bob continued to purr softly - who was he, to reject the affections of a beautiful young woman, of Negaverse nature or not? At least she'd been kind enough to coddle him, as opposed to just hurling him back out into the street. She had class, he'd give her that.
"Maybe a tad of both, my new, beautiful friend?"
His tail gently tapped against the side of her arm and rubbed, further expressing his affection and desire to be pampered and not dropped. Definitely not be dropped.
