[[copy/pasting from here]]Maia stood in the park, she was healed from what happened in during the summer. Still she would never forget because she came out of it alive and transcended. She looked at the glowing marks on her arms, and though she could not see them she touched the one the ran over her cheeks. “I do not think I will ever quite get use to this.” She was different, felt different even. They all stood out, for their energy which would could feel before you could see them, but now it was … purer was the only real word for it. More noticeable and attention drawing, good in some ways bad in others. Being a youma magnet was a weird thing, though oddly useful for training, since chances were she could find one easily enough. She stood in the park in her usual spot and would be there for a bit waiting for people who wanted training to show up or for someone to potentially cross her path, which wasn’t uncommon in the biggest park in the city. It was like a hub for activity some days.

Rayna stood unsure at the park entrance. She toyed with the strange pen that Snowball had presented her with. There was no getting over the fact that she was one of those “terrorists” now. Her hands went back into her coat pockets before she moved out of the spotlight. Was she really considering joining this war? It seemed as if there was a choice that she could make and not fight but why then had she taken the pen and phone. That night had been surreal and it wasn’t pleasant thinking back on the strange woman that had tried to attack her either. Perhaps that was the deciding factor this night. Rayna did not wish to be a victim nor did she want to see others get hurt while she stood by and did nothing.
Shrugging out of her jacket Rayna placed it on the ground and took out her henshin pen. With a quick step into a shadowy patch she spoke the phrase that Snowball had told her that night with a quiet conviction. It’d not do to blow her cover so early on.
“Myrrha Power, make-up!”
When the transformation was complete Myrrha picked up her coat and put it back on. It was only a small shield against the cold but it helped. Now that she had powered up Myrrha felt a stronger presence nearby. It was a curious sensation. Figuring the best thing to do would be to introduce herself Myrrha strode off in the direction she sensed the feeling coming from. There was no doubt that this aura that she was sensing was that of an order aligned scout. Myrrha broke into a jog and stopped only when she seemed to be within sight.
A woman stood alone up ahead and Myrrha was beginning to think that she was the one she sensed. Her gaze never left the stranger as she ran a hand nervously through her hair and then rubbed her arms. “Good evening, a bit cold though to be standing around, isn’t it?”

Maia turned feeling the other approach her, an order signature, and basic as well. She smiled knowing she would have company tonight, maybe someone that she could help or even someone sent to her. She waited and watched when the girl came into view and approached.
“Good evening, and yes I suppose it might be, but I am honestly very use to it. I am also fortunate to being wearing more than most are granted.”
She moved forward towards the other unphased at the moment by the cold. She had been out in colder, middle of winter, below 30, thankfully those night where short. Superhero or not, no one wanted to freeze.
“I’m Eternal Sailor Maia, senshi of song. Who might you be and what brings you to the park tonight?”
She almost wanted to ask if it was her. Her aura was strong and sticky sweet, but at the same time she didn’t want to appear egotistical no matter how likely the answer to be yes.

Myrrha could only envy the other senshi at the moment. Already she was feeling the bite of the cold and she rubbed the sleeves of her coat to get some warmth circulating in her arms. Next time she’d have to invest in some leggings or longer socks though. She gave Maia her full attention and could not help making a sound of surprise at a faint glow that seemed to flourish from markings that were faintly visible on her face. What is that? Is it normal?
Myrrha wondered silently for a minute before shaking her head. Tonight was a night to maybe get some answers. Why Maia had glowing runes over her body was not the top of her question list. Extending her gloved hand forward Myrrha spoke softly. “It is nice to meet you Maia. I’m Sailor Myrrha, senshi of scents. To answer what I’m doing here I have no idea.”
Myrrha forced a small chuckle out for effect before sighing. “I was not aware that anyone else would be here tonight. It’s sort of my first time patrolling.”
There was a small hope kindling inside that someone could take her under their wing because Myrrha truly had no idea what needed to be done. She gazed around at the open spaces of the park before sighing softly. Her gaze tracked back to Maia’s glowing marks. “Why do you glow?”

Maia smiled, “it's nice to meet you too Myrrha. It can be like that when you first start, a lot wandering and not really knowing where to go, maybe looking for youma. You need to be careful because there are people negaversers mostly who will try to do you serious harm. It easy to tell when one is near though with how dark they feel, but if you aren't paying attention you can miss that.”
“Very first time you've patrolled, huh? Well who awakened you? Did they give you a rundown of the war and what's going on?” She was curious how much this new senshi might know and what she could help with. She was really big on making sure others didn't flounder.
She looked at the glowing marks on her arms and rubbed them briefly. “I am something called transcended. There are only a few of us and honestly I'm not sure how it really works. I transcended in August and I haven't learned much about it. It has something to do with my bond with my planet I'm sure and I can give people an energy boost which is great to combat against the negaverses ability to drain people. I'm still learning about it myself and still need to talk to some of the others about it.”
She turned and motioned for Myrrha to follow her heading towards a bench that had long ago been moved under a tree well out of the way of any civilians that might pass by. “Come let's sit for now, if you have more questions I can try to answer as many as possible.”

“Thank you Maia. I’m still not sure I understand the whole “sensing” thing yet. I did feel your presence though.”
Myrrha glanced at the empty park once more. Surely it would not hurt to sit and talk for a while. She did have questions. She had been too overwhelmed with her awakening to really take note of anything that Snowball had told her. Perhaps since the night was young and she was in more of a receptive frame of mind that she should ask certain questions over again in order to cement the information in her brain. It was very important at this stage of the game that Myrrha learn the ins and outs of being a senshi.
It was with that logic that she followed Maia towards the bench that was the woman’s target. Hidden from direct sight it was a secluded place where talking could take place. As Myrrha sat on the bench she thought over what Maia had asked of her before leaning forward to cup her chin in her hands with her elbows resting on her knees. “I was awakened about a week ago. I think I was attacked by a negaverser. At least I think that was what she was. It was what Snowball said she was. He was the guardian cat that awakened me to my life as a senshi.”
Myrrha shifted positions and leaned back before she continued. “I was given a brief introduction into what being a senshi entails but I might have forgotten some things since. It’s my first night since that I’ve tried going out on patrol. The other nights I kept staring at my ceiling wondering if there was a mistake made or not. It took me this long to realize that maybe I can help out the cause in smaller ways.”
Myrrha said that remembering the attack she had used that first night. Her enemy had been overwhelmed and it had given her time to get out of harm’s way.
“I think the first and most important question I have is: what do I do next?”

“Yes the “sensing” thing takes a little getting use to, but I can help you with that if you like. Its a natural thing for us, it's literally about paying attention to what you are feeling.”
She sat with Myrrha and listened to her talking about her awakening. A week was very very new and she felt lucky for them to have run into each other. She didn’t know Snowball, but she was thankful to him for giving the senshi a rundown even if the girl had forgotten some things.
“I remember when I was first awakened, a cat named ********* awakened me and this was quite a while ago, but I remember the surrealness of it. As for what to do next, that’s completely up to you. You seem to have decided to join this war and do your part as a senshi wanting to protect earth. I would suggest that you read the senshi primer, learn your magic well, and learn to defend yourself.”
She summoned her phone, calling the green sheet music covered device to her, pressing a button on her screen and watching as the primer opened up. “On your senshi phone you have access to the senshi primer. It is a small information hub, that provides a good run down of the basics. It references people and things, including myself and my brother, who is a doctor. It will explain a lot. Obviously there is nothing like hands on experience, but this will keep you from feeling like you're going into all this wearing a blindfold.”
“I can try to answer any questions you might have on it.”

Myrrha was listening intently as Maia explained a little bit more about sensing. It was sort of surreal sitting on a bench at night, in the shadows. To the teen it felt sort of like a clandestine meet. She gave herself a mental chiding to not stray from the reason she was here. The Scents senshi returned her attention to the eternal senshi and listened to the story that she was telling. Myrrha did not feel that her own awakening had been any different. Instead of asking more questions though she remained silent and digested the advice that Maia had for her.
As soon as the senshi primer was mentioned and Maia’s phone had appeared Myrrha summoned her own phone. Her gaze flicked across the dark screen before she activated the primer on her own device. There had been an internal debate before to when she would actually scroll through the information and commit the words to memory. So far she had left the phone on her desk each night along with her transformation pen. Tonight both had traveled with her as she had left the house. She needed to get serious about her duties.
Myrrha closed the primer after a few minutes of quiet scrolling before leaning forward. She rested her elbows on her legs and cupped her face in her hands before drawing in a deep breath and sighing. There was one thing that needed to be admitted to Maia. “I am just not sure that I’m ‘ready’ for all that this change entails. How long did it take for you to make the adjustment to the knowledge that you were a superhero? I mean don’t others of the city view us as terrorists?”

“No ones is really every ready for war, unless that is maybe if they are the ones starting it. There are things that you can do to try to make the transition easier. My own was a slow process, but I had a lot of friends and allies along the way. Eventually I earned my buttwings, as some have dubbed them and you will too.”
She smiled and stood motioning for Myrrha to follow. “For new senshi, I would say one of the most important things to do is to gain friends and allies. Patrolling alone really isn't all that safe and if better if you have a partner. And lastly take out youma when you see them. They aren’t terrible hard to destroy normally and it will help you get use to fighting and thinking on you feet.”
They were simple tips, but she didn’t doubt they would be helpful. It was the usually of course, if she wanted something more specific than Maia would need a more direction question.
“It is true that the city views us as terrorist. Someone painted us in a bad light on a news special one night, throwing the negaverse into the spotlight as good guys and making us look bad. That sort of escalated things. Not that the property destruction and event disruption and even sometimes the halt of city functions are overlooked. These things unfortunately happen.”

Myrrha focused her attention on Maia. This was something that she needed to commit to memory. Her attempt to stifle a chuckle at the term buttwings was a failure. She giggled before turning more serious. When Maia rose from the bench they’d been using as a seat Myrrha stretched her legs out and locked her arms behind her head before rising to her feet. She was still trying to fathom what she could safely ask. As Maia began to reply to her other query Myrrha physically looked taken aback. That didn’t seem fair at all. Her gaze lowered to the ground as Maia went on before she sighed heavily. “It seems that we have more than just the enemy to contend with then I guess. I only wish that someone could make the city see sense. I guess that won’t happen anytime in the long run.”
Myrrha stretched once more before she barely concealed a yawn. Her smile turned rueful. She wanted to learn more but if she continued to stay out there was a chance she would never get any sleep. She extended her left hand out towards Maia. “I appreciate that I met you Maia. You’ve been a great sounding board for me tonight. Is there a chance that I can maybe patrol with you once in awhile? I am taking what you said to heart about not patrolling alone.”
Myrrha kept her hand out as she waited on Maia’s reply. If Maia did wish to patrol with her she would be able to learn the ins and outs of what being a senshi really entailed.

Maia nodded, “yes that's true, but I would not worry about it too much. PR is something that will change with time, we just need to make sure the enemy does not further paint us in a bad light.”
Maia caught the yawn and couldn’t help but to grin. She was use to these long nights patrolling and still getting up for classes in the morning and even working, when she was working. She took Myrrha’s hand and gave her a gentle shake with a light smile before nodding. “I would very much love to patrol with you. You can meet me here in the park most night or shoot me a text. If you need me I will come.”
She was excited herself for the opportunity to further help another senshi, anyone she could help with her knowledge and experience was time well spent and a good road traveled. Watching others struggle wasn’t something she liked even though sometimes you had to learn the hard way, she preferred a less steep climb. Being a senshi would never be easy, but that didn’t mean it couldn't be easier.
