Spring was in the air and with it new growth. Marengo had grown into a fine young stallion at this point and was very proud of his accomplishments and his sisters. He was starting to strike out on his own and move away from his parents and sister, though he was very certain he'd always seek them out or not travel too far from them that he'd have a hard time locating them. Though he was very certain his father would always be a little hard to locate with how he traveled all the time, but it was always going to be easy to figure out where he might be.
Water was something they were drawn to by their genetics. Keeping his tail moist was important if he didn't want it to dry out and itch a little bit. So staying near water was something he tended to do often, then again he hadn't really tried to venture to far from a water source. Today was a day he had decided to go ahead and do such a thing. He had made sure to find a stream before he had left the area he had become quite familiar with and was now a good distance away from where he had grown.
The scents of flowers clung to the air and he couldn't help but lose himself in the different scents. Finding himself in a field filled with a variety of flowers he couldn't help but bury his nose into their petals and in hail. He should wander more often!
