Initiative ❧ When you've gathered your participants, everyone starts the initiative phase. ❧ Each participant must roll 1d20 to decide what order to post in. Highest rolls will go first, lowest rolls last. Fight ❧ After everyone participating has rolled their initiative, the fight phase may begin. ❧ Players will take turns, according to the initiative order, rolling one or two d10 dice. ❧ The first die determines what kind of attack you make. Rolling 1-5 means you missed your attack. Rolling 6-9 means you landed your attack. Rolling a 10 means you made a critical hit. ❧ A successful attack does 1 HP of damage. A successful crit does 2 HP of damage. ❧ The second die indicates you choose to use a magic attack or use magic to amplify your physical attack. Rolling a 1-4 with this die means your spell failed. (If your normal attack landed, it will still do damage, but you will receive no magic benefit, and lose 1 MP anyways) ❧ Rolling 5 or 6 will amplify your damage by 1 point, and cost 2 MP. 7 or 8 by 2 points and cost 3 MP. 9 or 10 will add 3 points and cost 4 MP ❧ If you have more than one opponent, please specify who you are attacking. Victory ❧ Winning a private battle will give you 1 shop point. ❧ Please make note in the thread topic that your battle is finished, and I or a manager will make a short OOC note of you receiving the shop point and the potential item you could win (randomized). Then the winner must roll 1d4 to see if they win the item as well. 1-2 is fail, 3-4 is win. If you roll an attack and it hits, and roll a magic attack higher than your current mana, then you just use the highest magic attack you can afford If your attack misses, you just ignore the magic roll If you run out of mana, you can still keep battling but just roll the first dice, doing physical attacks Posting this so we don't have to keep looking in the battle info thread. Slow is perfectly fine <3 I'm going to go ahead and start the rp after I roll, but if you feel like you want to wait until all the rolling is done before we do the rp, we can do it that way too. Stats before: Arivan: 6hp 6mp Felim: 6hp 5mp

Arivan danced on his paws, excited. Eager to get the battle underway. Every new battle, ever new sparring match with an almost stranger was the chance to get stronger, the chance to win against stronger opponents. No matter the outcome of the battle, this was always in the for front of his mind, always pushing him to get stronger.
So, excited for the start of a new spar, he summoned a bit of his magic and lunged forward, hiting Felim with the antlers sprouting from his shoulder, the magic making the hit just a bit harder.

Rp: Felim, caught in the excitement, lunged at Arivan. Antlers ready to attack plus some magic to enhance her power. Just when she thought she had him where she wanted him, he stepped aside, and her attack missed. 'She was going to get him next time,' she thought.

Emboldened by his successfuly hit, and his opponent's miss, Arivan snapped out without stopping to think about it, or aiming. He wasn't really concerned when he missed, but it did temper his mood a little, made him a little more focused on what was needed to win. And reacting out of excitement was not the way.
Circling around, he was determined to land a hit next time.

Felim doubled back for another attack. She was going to land her attack. She charged again; however her blow did not connect.
Missing was starting to get her angry. How could he dodge all of her attacks? 'Well, hopefully I hit next time.'

Arivan grinned at her as he dodged her attack. He loved how unpredictable battles could be, with him dogding her dodging him. He rolled his shoulders, preparing for his next attack, before lunging forward, hitting only empty air. He missed! Again! He very nearly laughed. No way of predicting a winner, no matter who got the first hit in.

Ok, this isn't funny. Why is he grinning at her. Anger voursed through her body. Without thinking or planning, she just dashed into the fight. Antlers on her head ready to hit Arivan. He nonchalantly leaped in the air, away from harm.
Ok, just charging in isn't going to help. Calming down might do me some good, but still, He dodges. I guess that's just the way fights are.

Arivan thought it was about time for him to mix things up, leaving off adding any magic to his attacks and just using his physical prowess to try and do some damage. He missed, of course, because that was how this battle was going. Shaking his head, he wondered what would be the best for his next attack.

Felim, followed in suit, not using a magic attack. What was the point of using one if they were do good at dodging? Once I hit him once, maybe I'll consider using some magic, after all I don't have that much. So with that thought, she attacked. Like the rest of her attacks, she missed. Ok, this is really making me mad. I'll go mad if I miss once more! 'Thinking like that will do me no good, I need to stay calm and make a strategy.' But she knew that wasn't going to happen. She just didn't like that. It was more fun if you just made it up as you went.

Letting himself grin, because he could sense her frustration and understood it completely. He'd had sparring battles where he didn't land a hit the entire time! Arivan found it humorous for a reason he couldn't accurately describe so he didn't.
Lunging forward, against choosing to forego magic in favor of a physical attack, he connected, hard. Doing more damage than a normal attack. Still grinning, he stepped back to see what she would do now

Ok, think it through. Using a magic attack, she tried to hit. If she didn't do anything now, she'd lose. Yes, magic was the way to go. Just you wait Arivan! She charged. Yes! I hit! Finally, I feel accomplished. It's a shame my magic didn't work, but hitting's what counts. He's been dodging this whole time. See what he thinks now that I've hit him.

Arivan just grinned a bit more when her attack landed, taking the blow in stride. Good. He didn't want to win without a challenge. There was no fun in that.
Shaking himself a bit, he decided to leave off the magic again, see if it made a difference in his accuracy. Well, it didn't seem to make much difference as he missed again, swinging himself back around to face her, wondering if she was going to get in another hit before he could.

'I guess I'll try throwing some more magic in and hope it works this time.' She charged again, horns glowing in a yellow hue from her magic attack. It felt good to feel the impact. 'Maybe I can win, but I need to be careful, I can't use any magic, I can't afford to miss. Felim was beginning to enjoy herself in the battle. It was starting to get close, though she was losing. At least she could say she had fun!
