WIP. Thinking of replacing the distorted piano but not sure what else could fit the role I want it to fill. Critique welcomed.
EDIT: Will keep this bottom half reserved for updated lyrics.
current stuff
You may think he's insane from his last session
I can understand why you'd have that impression
But understand it's only through ruthless aggression
That he can ease the pain from his endless depression, question
Why he's the man that you see before you (Why?)
It's cause he only lives to adore you (What?)
Yet you burn a hollow hole through his heart, as you start
Down the hellish road that tears you apart
Have you ever felt that your dreams were someone else's
Like everything you have isn't yours?
And no one else around seems to know what true hell is
You lied to me, cried to me, tried to be oh so much more
Have you ever felt like you're drowning in sorrow
And everyone you loved is now gone?
You close your eyes hoping there'll be no tomorrow
I lied for you, cried for you, died for you waiting for dawn
The man meets an angel in disguise
She fell from the heavens through the fissures in the skies
The bearer of the truth in this world filled with lies
Gone the next day like the rest, no surprise, yet he's
Trying to pay her back for all that he owes her
But finds out that she's gone, didn't even get to know her
All the things that he had, all the good and the bad
Disappear one by one as he slowly goes mad
Failing to become everything that he's meant to be
Haunted by demons masquerading as memories
Friends and family are what they all pretend to be
He screams to the heavens: "Is this all that you'll send to me?"
Have you ever felt that your dreams were someone else's
Like everything you have isn't yours?
And no one else around seems to know what true hell is
You lied to me, cried to me, tried to be oh so much more
Have you ever felt like you're drowning in sorrow

future stuff?
He just never knew what being a broken slave meant
Only ever worried bout being able to pay rent
Now he's falling like precipitation straight down to the pavement
No one there to catch him, no one there to save him
Blending with society like puddles in the rain
Contemplating suicide to escape from this pain
No one sees his tears, no one hears what he's sayin'
No one knows his story or even knows his name
His entire life has become his greatest nightmare
Looking for his true self when his true self is right there
Broken into pieces, a mirror fell from heaven
A cryptic blessing signed "777"
He feels nothing but despair, 'bout to throw in the towel
Hoping for a way out but no lead to follow
Seems impossible to find a better tomorrow
Like trying to write a book without using any vowels
Delves into darkness, sleeps where the ghosts sing
Haunted by his past, but desensitized to most things
Demons in his mind beckon him with what he could be
Angels in his heart remind him of what he should be
Finally the devil wakes from his hibernation
The daylight blinds his eyes and fills his soul with new sensation
Looks into the mirror to see what demon he's turned into
But finds the greatest demons are the ones that live within you
Wandering this earth, trudging through the swamps of misery
How he made it this far still remains a mystery
Looking for an answer, abandoning his history
Slow metamorphosis into the man he wished to be
He's fighting back his fear, overcoming inhibition
Nothing slows him down, he's a man on a mission
Shrugging off the pain all his inner demon's dished him
Exploding out his cage like nuclear fission
Only ever worried bout being able to pay rent
Now he's falling like precipitation straight down to the pavement
No one there to catch him, no one there to save him
Blending with society like puddles in the rain
Contemplating suicide to escape from this pain
