Hobbies: Etsy - Harley adores surfing on Etsy to find quirky things to buy. Be it art, jewelry, or hand-painted trinkets, if something catches her eye as unique and fashion-forward? She's going to snatch it up! She also has her own shop in which she sells skeleton keys as pendants. She usually dresses them up in some way (like here or here) because no one wants just a plain old KEY around their neck...
High-Fashion - Vogue, Allure, Cosmopolitan... if there's a fashion magazine, Harley is subscribed to it. She likes to stay up to date on all the latest trends... not so she can copy them, necessarily, but so she can get her own ideas! She's never one to follow the crowd, but taking inspiration is vital for staying trendy and fresh as far as her wardrobe is concerned.
Virtues:
Committed -- Her family is not particularly well off. As a result, Harley simply can't afford to buy fancy clothes for herself. She works a few part time jobs on top of going to school and making things to sell on Etsy so she can afford to purchase the material she needs. She's determined to always look her best, and is willing to work extremely hard in order to meet this goal. When Harley decides she wants something, she will put her heart and soul into it--and so far, her style is number one in her heart!
Honest -- If you ask for her opinion, she's going to give it to you straight. Harley isn't unnecessarily cruel or scathing with telling the truth, but she's also not going to lie to you. If you ask her if your plaid and polka-dot combo looks bad, she's going to tell you yes, yes it certainly does. But on the upside, she'll also help you pick out a much more fashionable alternative! Though people may not like what she has to tell them, Harley won't hesitate to offer her help in any way she can.
Imaginative - Harley's creativity often expresses itself in her style choices or her jewelry making. She can combine clothing and fashion styles that most people wouldn't even dream of putting together--and makes it look fabulous! As a result, she's definitely an out of the box sort of thinker, and can come up with new ideas on the fly. Sure, some inspiration takes a bit more time, but she'll find a way to make an outfit work, even if it's unorthodox!
Flaws:
Secretly Sensitive - Though projecting an air of confidence and control, Harley is quite affected by other people's opinions of her. If someone were to insult one of her jewelry pieces or something she's wearing that day, she'd seem to blow them off without a care in the world. However... she likely will not choose to wear that particular item again, unable to get the comment out of her head. Just because she says she doesn't care doesn't mean it hasn't made an impact on her.
Unreceptive - While she may choose to alter her wardrobe or particular style because of something someone said, Harley will stubbornly dig her heels in when it comes to criticism/being told she's wrong. She shuts down and refuses to acknowledge that there may be truth in what other people are saying, convinced she knows what's best. It can be very frustrating to try and talk to her like this, just because she refuses to have a reasonable conversation about it. In fact, she doesn't want to talk about it at all, thank you very much, so you can keep your opinions to yourself!
Intense - Focus can certainly be a blessing, but Harley takes it to the extreme. Once she finds something to set her sights on, she almost becomes obsessed with seeing it through. Whether it's a new piece she's working on, or researching the latest fashion trends, she'll pour hours and hours into said task without pausing to rest. One could almost call her single-minded when it comes down to it, though Harley would blow off such comments. She's fine. She just has to get this done--no matter the cost.
