Money Please
Chel entered the thrift store with the poise of someone who probably belonged in thrift stores. It took a few moments of scanning but she eventually found her quarry folding clothing in one of the corners.
"Di!" Chel called from down the aisle. She was already walking forward with her arms outstretched for a hug.

Money Please
Diana had been busy at work, going about folding the clothes Ms. Arelia had asked her to. Really, she wasn't sure how people could just toss around clothes so badly and not think about whose job they were making harder. That or maybe they didn't care. At the sound of her name she glanced up, smiling once she saw the other woman coming towards her.
"Hi Chel!" she waved, hugging her once she got close enough.

Chel's hugs were the kind of hugs that enveloped you fully but somehow still managed to be a little uncomfortable because of how bony she was. At least she didn't half-a** her hugs; those were the worst kind of hugs.
"What's up grape soda?" she asked, finally detaching from the woman and giving her hair a tousle.

"Nothing really. Just the never ending wave of shirt folding. Stuck here for a couple more hours. What about you? Anything exciting happening in the land of Chel?" Diana questioned, leaning her head against the taller woman's shoulder. Diana was a sucker for hugs whether they were bad or not. Though it was nice that Chel gave good ones. After a long day a good hug could fix a lot.

"Naw it's been slow." Well no, that wasn't quite right. But the middle of a thrift shop wasn't the place for Chel to vent. "I was woooonderin' f'I could steal like 10 bucks from you."
True friendship: hello, give me money please.

Where She Went
After being shunt not once but twice in one day, Chel decided to go to a place where she would always belong and be welcomed.
And that was Diana's apartment.
They'd met once in a bar through a friend of a friend and somehow had ended up the most unlikely of friends themselves; the ex-convict and the street-side degenerate.
"Diannaaaaaa," she wailed from the doorway, "Let me iiiinnnnn."

"Oh yeah, sure sweetheart. No problem," Diana smiled, stopping her shirt folding to rummage around in her pocket for her wallet. While she wasn't an endless supply of money, she at least usually had some cash on her. Just in case. Finally finding the elusive wallet she pulled out a twenty to pass off to her friend.
"There you go. Don't have a ten, but I'm sure getting more money isn't a bad thing?"

Where She Went
There was a few moments pause as well as the sound of someone moving through the apartment before the door slid open and Diana peeked out. Dressed in her pjs, it was obvious she had no plans for the rest of the day.
"Chel? What's the matter, dear? Do I need to beat someone up for you? I've been to prison once, I'll do it again for you," she half joked. Diana may look like the sweetest lady ever, but she could seriously mess someone up if needed.

"Muuuuuhhhhhhh," was Chel's response as she collapsed into the girl's arms and then trudged her back into the apartment. She even went so far as to shut the door with her foot; a fullbody motion.
"Yer so nice."

Chel frowned. She only wanted ten. Receiving twenty was too much and now the scales of the universe had been tipped in the wrong way.
"Can't you split it at the register darlin'? I don't wanna rob you."

Diana went along with the motion instead of attempting to resist it, instead moving the taller girl along and over to the couch in her small living room. While it wasn't the biggest in the world, it was still comfortable enough for the two of them to be on.
"Come on, lay down and tell me all about it."

"Oh don't worry about it really, besides if you don't spend it all you could always go pick me up a snack or something. Not like there's anything here other than old dusty clothes, and I can't really eat that can I?"
Diana didn't really see the problem in giving her a little extra money, especially when Chel didn't have a job. Any little bit helped and she was willing to give it.

"I mean you could ..." Chel said with a sideways grin. She could certainly accept it if it was under the guise of doing a favor for a friend.
Chel would do her best not to spend the whole thing. She didn't have a very good sense of money though. "Yer just too good t'me Di. When you get off?"

"You sound like a ********' shrink," Chel mumbled, allowing herself to be dragged. It was kind of funny to watch actually, poor Diana moving a big giant deadweight. Chel could have helped her out but she just let the girl flail.
When they made it to the couch, Chel took the honors of sitting herself down first, less she crush Diana underneath her. "How does that make you feel?"

"Chel, you're my friend. Of course I'm going to be good to you. You deserve no less, silly," Diana replied, sticking her tongue out at the girl. She didn't expect to get any money back or see anything out of it. That was all okay. She wanted to support her friend however she possibly could. If that meant sparing her some money of course she was going to.
"I get off in about an hour and a half. The slow drag towards release."
