It was getting late, she had a young man and woman working on strength training whilst she had another pair training to strike at each other. A third was watching the spar taking a break as it had been their turn only moments before. It had been a hot day and Keilana felt that her students had accomplished a lot that day.
The woman was slowly adjusting to being a teacher, although she was brutal in her training regime she was also fair. Breaks were every two hours and lasted about an hour. She fed her students, and treated them a lot like they were her own children. Looking back to her house she knew that she was going to have to see about asking her brother about getting housing of sorts built for her students. Right now they were stumbling over each other in her small house.
Although Aysun never spoke about it, she knew that her other son Chandra grumbled about 'strangers' and she knew that she would need to separate teaching with home life.
"Straighten your posture! Put more strength in your swing!" Keilana barked out instructions as her pupils diligently worked.

How long had it been since he'd left the area around Sol? Quite a while he supposed, having basically stuck around home since that battle over in Sauti. He'd found that after that particular battle that he'd been pretty well burned out on such things. He'd found himself becoming a bt of a homebody, leaving only when he went out on various bounties as he found that they made good coin, but instead of just going out for another bounty he found himself going on a longer trip. This time to where Keilana lived, careful to pick a day when Chandra wasn't home. Best that he gave Chandra his space for now since it felt as though that was what he wanted.
Walking over to one of few shady spots he could find he shrugged off his shield, putting it down at his feet, then settled against one of the rare trees that Tale had, watching Keilana as she ordered about her students, "She's a bit intimidating, but not that bad." He said to the brightly colored radaku pup that was still following him around. He was still trying to find it a home but until then he'd look after it. There was a part of him that had been tempted to just give it to Aysun... but his son had enough pets to take care of without him having to worry about Chal dumping more on him. He'd see to the beast until he could find it a better home, possibly with a beast tamer or something.
His attention then went back to watching the Leaf Tribe woman as she went about her job, wondering if he should try to take on a student or two himself... but decided against it. Probably not the best idea at present, maybe someday.

The leaf tribe woman didn't realize that Chalcedony was around, it wasn't until her students had started whispering and pointing in Chal's vicinity that she turned her head and spotted the shifter. Eyes going wide at the surprise visit she took a glance up at the sky and then clapped her hands to get her students attention.
"We will stop here today. Consider yourselves lucky my friend has come to visit." She stated as the students who were weight training dropped their stones quite happily. The ones sparing also seemed all to happy to be stopping early for the day. "Don't get use to it. Tomorrow we will double our efforts so enjoy your early dismissal while you can. " Kei stated firmly as the students murmured in excitement. She supposed that this was good as it would allow her students time to actually get to know each other better.
Turning she hefted her lighter hammer onto her shoulders, perhaps she was showing off the new weapon as she went to approach the man.
"Well its been a long time Chalcedony, what brings you to my neck of the woods?" She inquired as she neared him, she spotted the radaku pup and she lifted the hammer to point it at the creature. "Oh no you don't, you wouldn't dare bring another creature to Aysun."

Chalcedony watched the students pack of to go, dismissed early but seemed to be told they would be working harder tomorrow. Keilana was as tough a teacher as she was a warrior he thought to himself for a moment, quiet as she approached, giving her a nod as she got close, "It has been a while." He agreed, looking around the area, before he looked back again. It was a place he visited more when the boys were little, but once they were able to travel on their own it hadn't been as necessary, had it? Meaning that he didn't come as often because the same need to do so hadn't been there. "A few things have brought me by, though first and foremost was to see how you were doing." His son's words about visiting her, as well as about her being lonely, had stuck with him and worried him a bit. Seeing her hard at work with her students put his heart at least a bit. He was glad to see that she wasn't completely alone, something he'd been worried about being the case. Glancing down at the pup next to him he gave a soft laugh and a shake of his head, "No, no... As tempting as it was I know this one is my responsiblity since I was the one that saved it." He couldn't exactly take the easy way out and leave the beast with Aysun even if he was a good candidate for such a thing. Maybe if he didn't already have a radaku of his own, perhaps? But he did, so he would take care of the beast himself until he found it a good home.

Although she was happy to hear these words from Chalcedony there was something off about the man. He was a very honest fellow and something felt off. Licking her upper lip she gave a small glance behind her to see if her students were lingering around to watch their teacher interact with a rather strong looking fellow. Seeing no one she went over to lower herself to Chalcedony's eye level.
"I am doing alright, actually better since I've started my school. With the boys always off on their own...its nice to have something to focus on again." She managed before she reached forward hesitantly and brushed a strand of Chalcedony's hair out of his face.
"Now...your like an open book Chal, I know you wouldn't come all the way out here unless the boys were about...whats bothering you?" Keilana asked in a matter of fact tone. Standing up she then went to sit beside the shifter laying her hammer at her side, satisfied at least that the radaku pup wasn't going to be calling this place home.

Shifting himself so he was sitting more comfortably he watched as Keilana settled down with him, talking about the school that she'd started. He gave a nod of his head, "It's an admirable task to take on, preparing the next generation for everything ahead." He said, looking around the area for a moment before his eyes returned once more to the Leaf Tribeswoman before him. She was a good woman, a strong one, it was likely from her that the twins got their strength he thought to himself, feeling that it was likely for the best that their strength came from her since she was a good example to follow. She could be temperamental at times but he felt it was a part of her charm. "Hm?" An open book, huh? He seemed to think on her question for a moment before he said, "I am trying to figure it out, where I went wrong with... our sons. I think that Chandra... hates me... and I want to try to figure out when it was that it started or if it was always there. I was oblivious to it, to his feelings, thinking that everything was fine and I guess ended up lulled into thinking everything was fine by that obliviousness." Lifting a hand he scratched it against the back of his head, looking a little embarrassed and upset over the entire situation, feelings he did his best to quell a bit as he didn't want to foist all of his problem onto her. This was his mess to clean up, not hers. Shaking his head head he said, "I don't want to bother you with all of that though... instead I wanted to see how you were doing." He'd been told that she was lonely, he was glad to see that she had her students, it meant that she was at least not left completely alone even when their sons were off doing their own things.

Keilana nodded her head settling in her spot as she thought on his words. Preparing the next generation? She gave a wistful sigh as she hoped another war wasn't around the bend. Hadn't they all seen enough to last them several life times? It made her worry for their sons. Chandra wasn't afraid to fight but what about Aysun? Would he worry over his animals instead of keeping himself safe? As Chalcedony continued to talk she turned to look at him with a rather startled expression. Chandra hated his father? This was news to her. Of course thinking back on things, Chandra was always a moody and grouchy individual. He wasn't the type to openly express himself unlike his brother. So to know what he was truly thinking was a hard task, "Hmm.." She drew up a leg so she could rest an arm against it as she pondered what was the correct thing to say. Her ind swirled around memories trying to find any indication of this being the case when it came to Chandra, though Chalcedony tried to change the conversation and she gave the man a cuff on the shoulder and a stern look. "Don't change the subject," Keilana managed as she tucked a strand of her own hair back into a bun she had to keep her hair out of her face. "We can talk about me later. Right now ...its obvious your upset. What happened? Did..Chandra say something to you?" Keilana pressed as she wanted to know what had spurred the normally carefree man to look so...sad.

"He came by for an unexpected visit." One that he'd been excited for since it wasn't often that the boys came by, both of them so busy with their lives. Chandra with his magical training, Aysun off chasing down rare and weird animals, he oft looked forward to their visits rare as they may be. This one didn't exactly go well though, did it? Chalcedony gave a slight wince and said, "Chandra said... many things to me. I thought that maybe he'd feel better after he was done, once everything was off his chest but instead I think he might have washed his hands of me." The last bit of what he said seemed to sort of fade off from a normal speaking voice to a sort of muttering sound. The idea that his son might actually be done with him being something that cut deep. Drawing in a deep breath he held it, let it out slowly, and seemed to be doing his best to compose himself. No reason to allow himself to get too emotional in front of Keilana, though it seemed that she often seen him at his worst and weakest, huh? "Have you seen him recently? Since he left to Sol?" He found himself asking, wondering if Chandra had come back here... or had he got to stay with his uncles instead? Something that he didn't want to consider though, preferring to think that maybe he came back here.

Watching Chalcedony she turned her head to give him some space to allow him to gather himself. It was obvious the man was rather distraught about the idea that Chandra hated him. It seemed...strange for Chandra to explode like that and yet she could easily envision his expression and gestures. He got a lot of his anger she felt from her and she felt a bit guilty. Looking up at the sky as she listened for the deep breath to exhale she finally went to lay a hand on Chal's leg. "I doubt Chandra would never want to see you again. Something obviously has gotten under his skin.." Keilana tried to offer some sort of comfort to Chalcedony but it was hard to really find the right words. She wasn't entirely sure of the conversation they had between them, though it was most likely a heated one. "Come now, its Chandra he has always been a bit stand offish unlike his brother. What do you think caused him to blow up?" Keilana pushed as she would have to have a word with their son once she saw him. Shaking her head at his question she couldn't say that she had seen him recently. But she lost track of the boys lately with her training the new students it suddenly made her worried. "No...I can't say I have seen either of the boys today.."

"Mmm, maybe." He wasn't so sure at the moment, instead certain that Chandra was quite angry and was going to actually be done with him. As she asked what might have caused Chandra to blow up he couldn't help but to wince a bit as he said, "I... can list several things that I think could have been the cause of it." He murmured, lifting a hand to scratch it against his chin in a thoughtful manner. As she said that she hadn't seen the boys today he said, "I'm sure that they are alright. Aysun often wanders off in his searches for new... frinds... and Chandra's mood might be keeping him away from more then just me. I am sure they will be home soon." Though he hoped that Chandra ended up back here soon since it seemed that he did care greatly for Keilana if his words from their meeting meant anything. Chalcedony gave a bit of a sigh as he reached up, patting the little radaku pup on the head in a gentle manner. As he did so he found himself thinking for a moment that he understood why Aysun like such beasts so much, they were soothing.

Keilana gave her own frustrated sigh as Chalcedony refused to go into details about their fight. Removing her hand from his leg she went to run a hand through the loose bangs and tried to tuck them back into her bun. "I am sure they will be home eventually. I've stopped trying to keep track of them, Chandra often tries to sneak out without me noticing him since he found himself a girl. I think he is worried I am going to press him for more information." She stated with a snort before she gave up trying to fix her hair and instead went about undoing her bun to let her hair down. "Its nice to have you visit Chal, its been a long time since we've gotten to talk alone." Keilana managed after she went to roll her neck to get some of the stiffness out. "You know...its a bit embarrassing now thinking about it...but there was a time when I considered asking you if you wanted more kids..." Kei devulged this secret to Chalcedony as she felt it was only fair to try and get his mind off of Chandra for at least a moment. "Perhaps its a good thing I didn't, with the handful we have already."

"Chandra has a girl?" Chalcedony asked, his eyes going a bit wide before he gave a smile, "I see, that's good to hear." His son might be a bit of a grump but he still deserved to find a good woman, if that was what he was looking for. Well, he had a feeling that was more what he was looking for since he seemed to be quite upset with his father for liking something other then that. It was something that made him flush a bit before he brushed the thought aside, not wanting to concentrate on it too hard.
Turning to look at Keilana he gave a nod of his head, "It has been a while. This is nice." To be able to chat with her again like this. It had been too long since he'd been able to talk to her like this in a calm, amiable manner. She was a good friend after all or so he'd always felt.
At the mention of her having thought about asking him for more kids he found his cheeks coloring darkly, "Heh, is that so?" He asked, then gave a little smile as she said that it was good that she hadn't say that, "Ahh... yeah, that is probably a good thing." Though oddly he felt that to be a bit of a shame really. He'd wanted to have more children... but at the same time given that his family was in shambles at the moment it was probably not the best idea. He had to get his affairs in order with the children he had, as well as the one he'd taken in, long before he was able to even consider that idea.

Keilana gave a small smile seeing Chalcedony's face darken as well his small smile, well at least she managed to get him to smile. She gave him an elbow in the ribs before chuckling. "Yeah if you had come even a month of so ago I may of asked in seriousness." Keilana started though she wondered why she was going into such depth with this, she had only mentioned it to help get Chal's mind away from Chandra. She hadn't intended on making the subject matter focusing on her. " I guess though I just wanted a purpose again. The boys are grown up now, they don't need their mother as much as they once did." She explained, now finding that she felt rather pathetic about her train of thought back then. Having more kids wasn't going to help her find her purpose in life. "Ah sorry this wasn't suppose to be about me." Keilana managed as she brushed the subject under the rug. "What do you intend to do about Chandra? I mean I can talk to him, but I have a sneaky suspicion that I will end up in a shouting match with him."

"Huh." Chalcedony seemed to space off for a moment, picturing the twins when they were little, when he could still carry them both in his arms, back when things were so much easier. He gave a soft smile and said, "A shame I am a bit too late then." Though he supposed it was maybe a good thing too since he didn't want them to have another kid just because they were lost as to what it was that they should be doing.
Glancing at Keilana he gave a smile and said, "I understand that feeling. I have taken on a lot of bounties of late myself to fill the time. It's helped in various way as well as helps to keep me busy. I think what you're doing is much more admirable though."
Unable to help but to laugh Chalcedony said, "It's alright, it doesn't have to be about just me Keilana." As she asked him what he meant to do about Chandra he gave a little sigh, "I'm not sure... he was asking me things that I was... a little embarrassed to explain. About the two of us, about... about Takoda... and various relationships that weren't meant to be... Things that are hard to talk to because it was some time ago."

Perhaps it was the way he worded it, but a 'shame' made her give him a curious look. It was an odd thing to say, considering everything. She wanted to press him on what he meant, was he willing to have more kids? It made her heart skip a bit, they were both getting older the boys were old enough to start making them grandparents and yet she was excited by the idea of having more kids. What was wrong with her?
Looking away she swore her own face was turning a dark red, she wasn't sure how to respond to that and was happy to hear him continue on the topic of Chandra only to frown and stare out at her home. The house that was built for her and the boys, so they could be closer with their father.
"ah...yes. Not..meant to be." She sighed that stupid part of her still wondering just why it wasn't meant to be. Keilana wasn't stupid, she knew why it wouldn't work, it still made her sad though. Bringing up Takoda she had mixed feelings still on the shifter. It was hard to stay mad at a man who was so innocent and willing to look after the boys and teach them what he knew.
"It is more our fault....than your fault. Chandra had pressed me before..on such subjects...and I normally just..get angry..or change the subject. I probably helped fuel the very angry child we have on our hands now...sorry." Keilana groaned realizing all those time when she tried to bury the subject she was just making things worse.
"You know...Chandra plays off as a very angry young man, but I think deep down he just...worries and cares too much...he just doesn't know how to express himself. Like someone I know...too well." Kei referenced herself at the end sounding emabressed.
