Far enough away that he couldn’t sense the girl’s power signature, Slidr watched curiously as a girl with red curly hair crawled out of her window and darted down the street.
“Well that was odd…” he commented to himself.
“If I didn’t know any better I’d say she was a runaway bride.” Especially when one took into account that fancy dress she was wearing.
While it would be easy to alot of people to just shrug off the scene as a run teen runaway, something didn’t feel right about the situation as her figure blinked in and out of view as she ran beneath the street lights.
Following after her to make sure she stayed safe felt more of a natural reaction than a conscious decision but before she could turn the corner and disappear complete, Slidr was already following behind. As it was the weather had finally reached that comfortable temperature where it was finally cooling down from the hot muggy day they had just suffered through. There was a light breeze that went barely noticed as he leapt from one rooftop to the next till he got close enough to realize that there was more to the girl than met the eye; she was like him.
Using the Parkour skills he had been honing for over a decade now, the Page of Mercury did a forward flip off the edge of a house and tumble rolled on the unfortunately freshly watered lawn, soaking the back of his coat.
“Hey!” Barely winded he called out to her once she had seemed to have reached her destination.
“Where are you going?” He asked out of concern.
“Are you okay?” A follow up question he couldn’t help but ask before she had a chance to answer his first.
While Delphi would undoubtedly be displeased that he had powered up again without letting her know though she may forgive him, at least a little bit, if she knew he may have found an ally.
