Trashy Romance Novels: Penelope is a connoisseur of the fantastical genre that is Romance Novels, especially of the kind that are most certainly not safe for work. Not only does she spend an enormous time reading them, she also spends an obscene amount of time writing them. What started out as a writing hobby revolving around smutty fanfic quickly evolved into those trashy oneshots you can buy on Amazon for a small fee.
Reading: Pen's love of books is not limited to just trashy romance novels but just about anything that piques her interest. Most of her free time, when not working or doing school work is spent reading.
Knitting: Knitting is a great way to unwind and it's a way to keep her hands busy on those days where writer's block is hitting hard or she's just not in the right mindset for reading. It's a great hobby to have when she needs to give someone a gift. She's gotten quite talented with her hats and scarves, even her sweaters turn out pretty well too!
Virtues:
Attentive: If you're with Pen then you've got her full attention, there are few things that distract the young woman from something, or someone, who catches her eye. She pays attention to the little details of stories, hyper focuses on them even, and stores them in her memory banks for later use. She strives to make people feel like they're number one when they're together.
Accommodating: Pen goes out of her way to make sure people are comfortable in her presence. She likes to make people feel safe or at home when they're with her. It goes hand in hand with her attentive nature because she'll go out of her way to make sure that a person who is perpetually cold has extra blankets, or she'll bring an extra jacket just in case they need it. It is very rare that she'll say no to what she perceives to be a reasonable request.
Relatable: Penelope is good at finding ways to relate to people, so she's awesome to talk to when you're in a rut. Flaws:
Two-Faced: Pen seems nice and personable on a surface level but the second you're not together, she's likely talking about you to someone else, but if you call her on it she'll pretend like she has no idea what you're talking about. She'll be whomever she thinks you want her to be and she'll make you think that you're best friends but then she'll turn around and slander you if it will further her goals or serve her.
Gossip: Penny is all about the gossip. She thrives on knowing the rumors that are floating around, even perpetuating them if she's trying to flush out information. No secret is safe with her, if Penelope knows then it's very like everyone else knows too.
The World is Out to Get Me (Victim Complex): Nothing is ever Penelope's fault. You're mad at her for something? Well how dare you put any of the blame on her! How dare you try and hold her accountable for it, she didn't do anything wrong. Pen is very good at twisting the situation around to make you feel like you're in the wrong for making her feel bad about something she did.
