"Hey, kiddo," says a pleasant contralto. "What up what up? You look ********, to be polite about it." Leila is in one piece. There is a tall (very tall) redhead looking down at her. "Last guy here looked ********, too. What is going on, my droog? Some kinda SAW murderfest?"

Waking up suddenly feeling nothing at all was shocking, and in its own way as agonizing as the persistent pain she has been in just seconds ago. It had never stopped. Her nerves had been screaming up to the very last second as she hotly choked on her own blood. There was no peace. No closure. Just blinding terror, followed abruptly by emptiness. Her whole body shook violently while she struggled to get her bearings -- hoisting up one arm, then the other for support, and barely managing to rise up to her knees. Then she buckled, made a wet choking noise, and proceeded to vomit all over the other woman's shoes.

"I mean, sure," says Lady, looking down at Leila. "That's definitely an answer." Lady steps delicately backwards and the vomit-covered shoes don't come with her, leaving her barefoot and scowling about it. "Guess you're really not up for a conversation, then."

At least Leila was stabilizing. Slightly. Enough to get herself sitting upright on the ground in a loose lotus position, trembling hands resting on her knees. She took ragged gulps of air, staring straight ahead, not quite seeming to register there was another person with her at all. A few long minutes passed before she was finally able to look up. "What is this?" she asked. Meaning who are you, where am I, what's going on, am I alive or dead?

Lady says, "I'm trying to decide what to do with you. 'Cause I don't think you're ready to join the legions of the dead, but hmmm, you die in a dream you don't wake up... yeah?" She tilts her head side to side, tick tock. "But if I just let the clock run out, ho hum." She holds out a hand to help Leila up.

"I... I can go back alive?" Stupendous choice of words, Leila. That was a rather impactful piece of information that made her insides seize up again, but thankfully not in a vomit way. Instead huge, ugly snotty tears were starting to drip in uneven rivulets down her face as she accepted the help to her feet, and she wobbled a fair bit on the way to becoming upright again. "How'd you... who... I--" she paused, breathed, did a long gross phlegmmy sniff back of some cry-gunk -- "I don't know you."

"I'm Lady Red," says Lady. "And yeah, insomuch as you're... not really dead, you sure could." She puts a hand on Leila's shoulder. "In fact. I think you probably should."

She nodded, slowly and weakly. "Yeah. That would be good..." ... "...sorry for puking on you."

Lady smiles. "Say hi to Eve for me," she says, and then she shoves Leila back into the thick of it.
