Mel was at her wits end today. She'd awoke to the sounds of sirens outside her small apartment window, only to find out that her neighbor next door had decided it was a grand idea to let her small child set fire to her curtains. As if being awake and annoyed by it all wasn't enough, it turned out that with connecting air conditioning systems there came the smoke and everything else along with it. Still dressed up in her most comfy of pajamas, she was quickly greeted by loud knocks on her door alerting her that the fire department did take their job very seriously. Despite her complaints and attempt at explaining to them that no, her home was not on fire and she was safe, they ignored it and worked fast at ushering her out of her little living space and into the street. All she wanted to do was go back inside and hide under her blankets for a few more hours. Was that too much to ask? She didn't care if the building next to her was ablaze, her sleep was far more important! [wip wip wip]
