Direct from Darlene's Wendy headed home, back to her small apartment that wasn't anywhere near as homey as Cid's place (but served as her hiding place when she needed to be alone). The only reason she kept their turtles there was to find a way to force herself to come by. She had time before he would get there and spent that time fiddling around with things and ignoring that her phone was blowing up since she'd changed her status to In A Relationship and changed her picture to one of her and Cid. The picture wasn't odd- the status was definitely new. In fact she'd just gone ahead and turned off Facebook notifications in the meantime. Wendy was feeling good about the change actually, figured she'd get more into Cid's good books (because his sad face hurt her heart). And she knew at this point his parents (mother at least) had seen. They would be thrilled. Now she was assessing her apartment because while grand relationship gestures didn't work on her- it was easier for her to accept making the big decision herself than feeling like she was being forced into making a choice on the spot. Mostly she was looking forward to having Cid arrive and be happy at the public online changes, but so far their texting had been normal and he hadn't actually mentioned it.

Cid had uninstalled facebook from his phone and pretty much gone dark aside from texting back and forth with Wendy. If texting meant sending pictures to each other via line chat. Which it absolutely did. Everything else was ignored because ... Well, he did not want to bother with anything else. He was shuffling his way up the stairs, black hair a little disheveled and maybe just a touch scruffy because he had not bothered to shave this morning. (Wendy liked him scruffy and even when he was morose and sadface at her he still did the things she liked.) The short man was pulling the keys from his pocket but then just tried the handle and went on it when it was unlocked. "Hoooooooney, I'm home ~" he called out, just because he usually did and maybe, just maybe, watched a little too much I Love Lucy growing up.

Wendy, in her assessing of her apartment, had assessed that didn't she didn't own much of anything that wasn't portable. Her furniture was a bit cheap, her clothes probably most of her belongings, and half of them were already at Cid's. Most of her true swag sat in boxes in a storage space because when she'd moved in here she'd never bothered to bring and and set up all her collectibles. She'd never found the time. She hadn't actually thought about it until then. She barely even lived here besides to see the turtles, over which she stood when Cid came in, offering a lettuce leaf for Leonardo to reach slowly up for and snap his mouth on. "Nasir sent veggies for the turdies." She glanced over her shoulder for him only to see him looking a bit put out. Hmph. He was supposed to not be. "Got food. Got beer..." Wendy turned to greet with a finger through his belt loop and kiss. "What's wrong?"

Cid's thoughts were still turned towards the conversation he had had with Borr. With the fact that he really, really just wanted ... "He always does," he replied, giving her a half-smile. The finger in his belt loop got a bit more of a smile but then the question about what was wrong made him frown and pull back. There was an immediate response of nothing but that was bullshit. Instead he was pulling back from the kiss and trailing fingers from her hip, up along her side, and then resting against her face. Grand gestures, right. "I want you to move in with me," he said finally, "... and be official, Wendy." iloveyouDIE this is what u get for going dark, cid.

She didn't like the stepping back, no not at all. This wasn't the way it was supposed to go. Except he asked that question. It wasn't the first time. She, perhaps, in the past may have scoffed or said something like 'why' or 'you know I like my space'... but since she'd been assessing- well she'd pretty much decided already. "Yeah, alright." Wendy was way too agreeable about it, like it was a given. "Is that why you're all funky?" He brows rose over her glasses and then she snorted, " You haven't been online today, have you?"

"Not entirely," Cid started to get a little defensive, that particular petulant look settling on his face when he was expecting Wendy to launch into something but then his mind rolled back a phrase. "Wait, you will?" He blinked. "I've not been online since those asshats decided to go all ..." A hand was flicked in the air in annoyance. When some of her male followers had started in on those old familiar comments that got his hackles up. His eyes narrowed. "Give me a second." His cell was pulled out of it's holster, the screen unlocked, and he was nodding his head side to side as he waited for facebook to install so he could log in and check it. The other social medias were checked in the meantime. The realization that slowly creeped on his face was especially adorable.

She watched him, smirking to herself a bit and still holding him by the belt loops as she weaved about in place in her bare feet and waited. She was surprised he hadn't gotten something from his mom because she'd been pretty sure she'd a comment ping from Cuinn on her personal account (not the work fanpage). Wendy wouldn't mention speaking to Borr. She needed her little indulgences. Maybe she'd let it slip later but for now she wanted to seem like the good girlfriend and not the one who needed to be admonished to commit. He was especially adorable when he figured it out. "All my stuff's pretty much at your place anyway." Said like, duh it's so not a big deal.

There was a text from his mom. One with a screenshot of Wendy's facebook relationship status and note of: for real this time????For all that he could be raunchy and terrible, he was not one prone to blushing and he slowly turned red as he realized what she had done. On her own no less. "It is," he replied, still a little in shock. His phone was tossed to the couch before he was grabbing at her hips and pulling her close for a kiss.

Wendy smiled against his lips and the kiss, returning it in a steady chain of small smooches, "Not sure if you're cuter sulky... or blushy happy.." Another kiss, more solid and steady, before the dark haired woman broke away, "But your taste in women is ******** terrible." Cause she was the worst.

"I'm cute as a goddamn button," Cid muttered into the kiss. His fingers remained hooked on her hips, not letting her get away from him. The blush got worse because he always blushed when he was stupidly happy. There was just no way around it. "Whatever, sexy, my taste in women is perfect."

"Cute as a button and a glutton for punishment.." Her hands unhooked from his belt loops and rested on Cid's cheeks, rubbing his stubble lightly because she always enjoyed it. "I'm sorry I'm the ******** worst.."

Cid rubbed his face into her hands and gave her a wink. He was still woefully without his glasses and, truthfully, he did need them but ... Mood. "Only a glutton when we get out the toys," he teased but then huffed. "You are the worst but I love you because you are." There was a shrug. "Worst and best for me, sexy, worst and best. I wouldn't want you any other way."

"And all the toys are at your place too." She snorted wryly before shaking her head, "You can't even see me correctly right now can you. Where're your freakin glasses?" He did get a bit hopeless when he got into a mood. Including the couple days scruff and the mess his hair was in (though bigger the better in her opinion, he had a nice head of hair). Wendy's fingers slid up to sift into Cid's hair and straighten it a bit. She kissed him again, reassurance, and leaned back a few inches on her heels, "We can just relocate if you want. Food is still packed up and... we can bring the turtles?" And worry about the rest later. His place was much better. Their place.

Cid got a sheepish look on his face at the mention of not being able to see her. "... at my place with everything else?" He paused. "Our place, I mean." Definitely thinking about that. He leaned into her fingers in his hair, enjoying every bit of the petting and the kisses and he let out a breath. The tension was bleeding out of him and the mood leaving him. "Yeah, we can do that. I've got that one area I never did anything with that they can go in."

Wendy finally backed away and her hands slipped off of Cid. She turned and moved across the room to slip back into her shoes. "On Kotaku I saw a guy who built his tortoise a replica of Jurassic park to live in." She pursed her lips and gave him a look that said we will do better."How does the turtle's sewer sound?"
