[TRIGGER WARNING: Detailed Torture. Interrogation (Various). Written Gore. Proceed with extreme caution.]Kae had been busy looking over surveillance tapes and the recording of the parley itself, looking for details, flaws, anything she could hold on to use later. It had been a long day as she sighed, her phone buzzing on the desk. She pushed herself a bit from her laptop that she had set up on Mara's desk as she was currently in charge. Illuminating the phone she read the message.
"I'd really like to talk with you. Maybe we can grab dinner tonight. 7PM at [location]."
She had honestly expected the message to be from her anonymous friend who texted her often about nothing in particular, but this text message was from someone different. Someone who wanted to talk with her. Maybe. She texted back, "Are you sure you have the right number?"
"Yes. Kae Gold. It's an old friend. I'm sure you'll understand when we meet."
She was reluctant but nonetheless, maybe getting out would do her some good. Besides, it might have been Tri or Ree trying to contact her. One could never be too sure. Or it could be a trap. "Okay." she texted back and then set her phone down. Looking down at her clothes, she decided she'd have to dress in something a little more casual than her suit.
She did just that, wearing a tshirt and jeans as she informed Syth that she'd be going out for the night and didn't know how late she'd be back. Her mind tried to stay off the topic of Daemin and center more on the collars she needed to make the next day for the other two kids. With that, she put up her disguise and she left.
---------------------------
Upon her arrival, she recognized the same black haired, red eyed fallen that had once captivated her heart many years ago. "...daemin.." she whispered. Her eyes flickering red for only a moment in surprise."..I knew it was you. Kael'thena." Kae was even more hesitant but decidedly went along with it. They ate at a restaurant and she listened to him talk of the travels he'd experienced and how there was always something missing from his life. Over the course of the meal, he was slowly winning her heart back over, though she wouldn't show it, hidden behind a stoic wall of flat expression.
It wasn't until after the meal that he confessed he wanted to remarry her. She had been caught off guard as stared at him for quite a few minutes. Eventually, she agreed. They walked outside, walking into a park as she began to open up more, laughing a bit, acting like they did when they first got together so many years. He then hugged her, leaning in to kiss her. Everything seemed so perfect... No wait.. too perfect. Things never worked out like this... She pulled away inconspicuously as she stared at him. It was a moment before she saw flashes of images: a grin, running, purple hair, something heavy. Her eyes widened as she ducked down suddenly and the other person hit Daemin with a blunt object, a bat. Aimed right at her head!! She took off running as Daemin yelled at the other person. They knew each other. s**t! This was trap! Daemin.. he...
She darted around the corner and ran down alleyway, as Daemin shoved the person and then took after her himself. "You can't run forever, Kae!" Her heart raced as she ran as fast as she could, ducking a weaving through the alleyways as best as she could manage, stumbling often. It wasn't long before she hit a dead end, staring at a tall chain link fence that blocked her path. She turned and summoned forth her sword angrily as she stared down Daemin who was walking down the alley towards her. "Why... Why are you doing this!?" she exclaimed, trying to keep her composure. "These are desperate times, and it's all pointing to you. No hard feelings, love." "How could you do this to me... You... We... I don't understand!""Easy. Just like it was so easy for you to experiment on our daughter... experiment on me. My dear, this is a simple thing called karma." he grinned at her. She stood there, tense with buried emotions as she fought back tears. She stood her ground, trying to think of what to say, but nothing came. She relaxed and dropped her sword in defeat. The clang as it hit the concrete echoed through the alley as it then dissipated. She lowered her head and stood there. His grin widened further as the other person appeared behind her and hit her in the back of the head hard, knocking to the ground unconscious.

Having been brought in only an hour after the capture of the one known as Kae, the purple-and-pink haired rogue sauntered into the building with ease, smiling at any and all guards as he made his way up to the front desk that he was told to go inquire about his job, one that he had accepted without a second look at what he was supposed to do as the money involved - even just half of it - was quite a nice sum. Clearing his throat, he looked down at the secretary, her name tag a sparkling silver with the words 'Haven Top Secretary' before it said her name below it, the pin fastened just above her bosom.
"Good evening, Courtney. I'm here to pick up an assignment, the names Zephyr." he smiled down at her before the woman looked up and flashed a pretty white smile back.
"Well hello, Mister Zephyr. They'd like to see you on floor B-14, room 413. They've already sent half of the listed amount to the account you requested." The woman said in a fairly chipper tone, one that made his skin crawl. He had managed to get some information, thanks to his demonic charms, on what this place was about and it was something that he was thankful that he never got caught by.
Making his way to the elevator, he stood there, in the musty metallic square listening to the usual jazz music before the dulled ding of the elevator snapped him out of his thoughts. Humming to himself as he made his way through the corridor, Zephyr knocked once, twice and once more on the door to room 413. "Room service!" he said jokingly, "Just kidding, it's Zephyr.". before a slit in the door opened and a pair of untrusting eyes looked him over. After a couple seconds, several large clicks could be heard as the locks inside the door were deactivated. With a loud creak, the thick door swung open to reveal a simple room with a handful of people standing about with some technology, as well as a one-way mirror that looked into simple room with a table with two chairs, a bed, and a toilet with a sink stuffed into the corner. Sitting in one chair, bound with a collar and a couple fancy looking cuffs, was a woman.
"Zephyr..the rogue, I assume?" a rather stout man walked over and held out his hand, smiling up at the tall purple-haired meta who looked more human than meta.
Nodding, Zephyr took the mans hand and shook it, "That is indeed me. What do you need me to do, sir?" he asked before starting to rock on the balls of his feet.
"We need you to interrogate this woman. As much information as you can get out of her would be best - just don't kill her. You may harm her, but no killing, okay?" The man asked as he looked up at Zephyr, unaware that he was looking up at yet another being that he could easily use to take apart and make his amalgamations.
"Interrogation and torture? Sounds delightful. Before I start, though, I'd like to request that there is a tray of coffee and tea that I can bring in to the prisoner, as it will help." Zephyr said with a small smile.
About twenty minutes later, a door on the opposite side of the wall that held the one-way mirror, Zephyr walked into the room with a little trolley that held a carafe of coffee, hot water, a variety of teas, three mugs, cream, sugar, and some small snacks. Wheeling it next to the table, he took the chair opposite of the woman, spun it around so the back faced the table, and put one foot on it.
"Good Evening, Miss. May I interest you in some coffee or tea?" Zephyr asked with a calm, sweet smile as he motioned towards the trolley as the door he had entered slid shut with several clicks, soon sealing shut.

Kae was slowly coming to, her vision adjusting slowly as she blinked and took a deep breath. Her eyes darted a bit as she didn't recognize the room she was in. What happened, how did she get here. Daemin... But he wasn't here, looking at the walls she saw the deep dents embedded in the walls, an unsettling sight. It looked like she was in some kind of.. interrogation room. s**t. This was not good. She was about to scan the room for clues on where she was being held when a rather jovial looking young man walked in with a cart. She immediately tensed but then noticed the tea and coffee and she quirked an eyebrow. "..what the ********> she blurted out without thinking. Blinking she sighed and lowered her head like she was going back to sleep. "I must be dreaming... Though, never thought I'd be dreaming of a homeless concierge in a dungeonous holding cell in god knows what level of hell this might be... Mmmhmm... definitely a vivid dream this time."

"Homeless? Why miss, your words do wound me!" Zephyr put a hand over his heart and bowed his head a little, causing a couple purple-pink coils to shift slightly. Standing back up and removing his foot from the chair, he waved back over to the trolley, "But no seriously, do you want coffee or tea? I'm trying to make you comfortable, M'am. I know these sorts of rooms are never fun to be in, so why don't we make this as comfortable as they'll allow it for you. I could even put on a show for you if you'd like." Zephyr smirked at the last part, slowly pulling on the zipper-pull on his black hoodie.

Kae looked up to him, a unamused look on her face as she blinked very slowly at him. This was the most vivid dream she'd ever had. It's like they crafted the technology from light and holograms and .... Shutup, Kae! She snapped herself back to focus on Zephyr as he seemed to be making a show of things. Rather than dote on the fact that this was probably very real and very bad. She figured, she'd embrace humor in this quite ironic turn of events. Even she hadn't spared her own grandson a moment to speak before starting in on him, what a terrifying thought indeed. Now setting in how horrible she might be at her core. No worries, maybe she'll wake up soon and this would all be o-.. Why is he stripping?! Her face scrunched in confusion and concern as she looked over to the cart. "Tea is fine." she said simply, not exactly wanting to encourage his amorous displays with commentary of her own.

Leaving the zipper about halfway down his hoodie, Zephyr nodded as the woman across the table said that she would like tea over the very hot coffee that the people who ran the organization seemed to enjoy drinking. Taking one of the mugs and turning it upright, he filled it about three-fourths full and slid over three types of tea that Kae could choose from - Black, Green, and a Chai - as well as sliding over the mug of hot water, the sugar, and cream. Taking his own mug and deftly flipping it with one hand so it was upright, he filled it as close to the top as he could with the scalding hot coffee. Setting it down on the table, he moved over to the chair he had turned around and sat down on it, straddling it and leaning one arm against the back of the chair that was pressed against the side of the table. Setting his free-hands fingers just on the lip of the mug, he looked at Kae and smiled a sweet smile at her.
"So. Care to give me your name, miss? I'll give you mine as an offer - the name is Zephyr."

She took the cup, the warmth of the mug almost inviting in a way. She looked over and selected black tea and then dumping a precariously large amount of sugar into the mug. She idly dunked the bag a few types, staring down at the mug, leaning forward to rest her elbows on the table herself. He asked her name, and without skipping a beat of even looking up she spoke blandly, "Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca the Third." Her face still unamused, as she paused for a moment. "...Zephyr.. That sounds very familiar." she muttered a bit, then went back to idly dunking the bag until it stained the water a dark brown color and she began to drink it. Only after the third sip, looking to him and raised an eyebrow again at him. "So what exactly is all this... Some kind of prank, maybe?... If Mara set you up to this, I'd be thoroughly impressed."

"Ah yes, Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca the Third, also known Doctor Broken, am I correct?" Zephyr asked as he lifted up the hot mug of coffee, brought it to his lips, and took a sip. Delightfully burning, but still coffee. Not the best, but he couldn't complain about it, they were paying him a ridiculous sum of money. "As for why my name sounds familiar, I do have an answer for that, but I'll only give it to you if you manage to get it out of me in this fun little game I have planned." he set down the mug before digging into his right pants pocket and pulling out two amethysts that were cut into the shape of two ten-sided dice; One was numbered 0 through 9 and the other was a basic percentile die.
Spinning one on the table, he Meta hummed softly for a moment, "The game I'd like to play is simple. We roll these dice..and whoever gets the lower number loses and must tell the other a fact about themselves. The bigger the number difference, the bigger the fact or secret. Sound good?" Zephyr asked as he looked to the woman in front of him.

Kae narrowed her eyes as he called her by the name she was better known as, tipping her off that this was highly likely about Metas. She would have been surprised that she hadn't been killed yet, but then again, she held far too many secrets that she could easily be considered a very worthy prize. If they could crack her, something she honestly doubted.
A game, well that never ended in a good place when one was trapped against their will in some holding cell likely far below ground. She watched him pull out a pair of dice and he explained the rules of the game. "And what makes you think I'd fall for that. The possibility of you having some kind of luck power is likely since your strut yourself around like you own the place but dress like you were hired right off the street without so much as a decent background check. Second, what exactly stops me from just either denying information outright or making up whatever I want to say to you. You're game is a little faulty it seems." she analyzed with a hint of a glare as she kept a firm hand on the mug in front of her, staring at him intensely.

Zephyr smiled a little and leaned back, "Well, I could tell you more about myself if you'd like to play this game. As for if you deny any information or refuse to give any information up, I have free reign to do practically anything. Powers wise...I wish I had some form of luck based power, would probably make his sort of thing much more interesting than what it is right now. But come now, fair doctor, I just want to play a simple game with you. How much harm could it do?" as he spoke, he tilted his head the other way and smiled, twisting his words and using his personality as he tended to do [Charismatic - Diplomacy].

Kae mentally shook her head. And he would know she's lying.. how? Whatever, looking at the options, either chance it and attack him here and now or comply and play his childish game. Thinking for a moment as he spoke, it honestly didn't seem to bad to at least humor him. This situation could be a whole lot worse. And she wasn't exactly in any position to try to contest him on the matter, he having the upper hand in this predicament. She sipped at her tea and sighed. "Alright, I'll humor you. Though, I don't see what I stand to gain from knowing about you." she answered honestly, setting the mug down to the side of her, and rested her hands on the table, waiting for the game to commence.

"Oh, things and stuff." Zephyr said as he picked up the two ten-sided dice and rolled them in his hand a bit, going through his own list of things he had done throughout the years. It was quite a long list, more so after the academy had closed. Taking another sip of his very hot coffee, he tossed the dice across the table and let them roll against the metal surface before coming to a halt. As the dice stopped spinning, they landed on 20, and 5, making the total a simple one. "You get to beat a twenty-five, miss."

Kae watched the dice roll, her eyes fixated like she was calculating something, her mind automatically switching into a more analytical state. Twenty-five. Her odds were.. not bad. She took a slightly deeper breath as she reached over to grab the dice and shook them lightly, seeming to concentrate on the table itself as she tossed them down. She stared at the dice, exhaling in a bit of exasperation. "Are you serious?" she commented, then shifted her eyes to him, immediately calculating the difference. "Difference of twenty-three..."

Nodding, Zephyr let the dice stay where they were, just incase the good doctor was still worried he happened to have any luck based powers still. Then again, if he did - a starting roll of twenty five was actually pretty fair. Clearing his throat, he looked from the dice, to her, "Something not small, but something not too big either." he smiled, reaching over to the cart and grabbing a plate full of pastries and just sort of sorting them by filling.

She sighed, trying to think of something to say about herself, slightly regretting the idea of playing this game as she had never been fond of talking about herself to others, even friends.. if she had any. Mostly just... She shook the thought and carefully chose what to say, "I once paid a man to tell my daughter her father was dead." she responded bluntly then took up the dice, a little more determined to roll higher this time. Taking another deep breath, she rolled, hopefully this time would be better. A smile hinted at her lips as her roll was much higher this time, surely her odds were better this time.
