::Next night after Parley::

Asriel looked at Mara's office and sighed as he moved to her desk ruffling around looking for a specific file. He wasn't exactly happy about the temporary promotion and it still felt odd. Yet with Mara found unconscious in Aldas, along with the Bounty Lucien, he was the next to take over.

(Norcrest) was working with those units that still survived to figure out the extent of the damage at the Resort and how deep the betrayal of their two SIU metas had gone while they search for (criel)'s body.(Norcrest) was cleaning own face to the other cities of the corruption that had been seen at Parley. The Renegades were defiantly involved and had been waiting and it was obvious that Mara had moved them from the rooms that had been outfitted with bombs specifically done to take out Zaku and the other remotely.

Everything that had been put off as convenient or betrayal from other people where starting to fit perfectly when an inside job was added into the equation.

Ree had been there for most of the failures. Kage...Kage, Andy and the prisoner escaping, nearly killing Hexxis, Hexxis being conveniently recovered from the Rengades along with Leukos. (criel's) death, seen flying away from the over loaded stun bomb....now they were also missing one protoype suit and had the death of two pilots and the majority of the unit that has been with them. This was a complete and utter mess...Tri was missing as well, likely he was the one in league with the Renegades and got Ree involved. Ree who kept leaving when ever he wanted, the perfect messenger and who easily convinced Zaku into the parley. Sh**.

Why? They had raised them with barely any experimentation, mostly due to Mara, and if it wasn't that Mara has been unconscious in what seem like a fight with Lucien she would have been put under scrutiny as well. Where Lucien got such wounds though.... and why Mara seem to be malnutrition when she was in perfect health before the parley...

A quick look around produced the bare bone files on their metas, while the files with more information was classified and elsewhere. Flicking through it he took Tri and Ree's picture so they could be added to the warrant once he sent it in. His gaze paused on Melody and Hexxis with a frown. Hexxis Luz.... they will be back for her. Extra security for her and the others. For now he had them sent and locked in their rooms until Command send him more orders on what to do with them. Likely they will finally allow them to be collared after this whole fiasco.

"who would have guessed..." he muttered tiredly, a lot of people had died in that attack and for what? there wasn't even one meta down for the amount of lives lost. Lost to ....4 metas. a handful of things that should not have been. It was so frustrating. It was also obvious from the parley that the Renegades had no intentions of actually finding a peaceful resolution. "laughing" at them with the needless destruction of the resort and the effortless slaughter . Well then...once the orders come in he will finally had a reason to do what he always wanted to...even if he respected Mara she had messed up to many time and obvious her way of thinking was not going to work ..ever.

Now Mara was recovering in the medical ward but Lucien ... Lucien was helping their little projects already. A test here and there..see how they could harness the power of a meta like they could the pure bloods. It wasn't like a Bounty had any worth, outside of the money his dead body will fetch ...so win win.

Asriel placed the file back inside and started to look at what he needed to do now. All those people dead... darn metas and the person who created them.

Ree clench his hand around the blue pendent he usually wore under his shirt, looking for some type of comfort as he stared at his "home" with a mixture of fear, dread and exhaustion. He needed to grab some things from there and talk to others... lets see how far he got.

Taking a shaky breath be moved away from the base and looked at the ground then the sky. He only had to sneak in or out then never worry about it ... not sneak in and stay hidden the whole time. Narrowing his eyes he tied the blindfold around his wrist before taking wing outside of radar range. In, down riigghtt. Lifting himself with only telekinesis he folded his wings in tightly against his back and raises his arm in front of his mouth before speeding back toward the base and just dropping straight down while hiding himself with shadows (enshroud, telekinesis)


At the last few seconds he flared his wings above the base as he phased through the roof and into his room. Enshoud still active and phase as he struggled to fly back up to his room after overshooting and appearing in the darken break room below. His room was..... was bagged. Everything was in marks and thrown all over the place. Taking a quick look around he solidified and frown as what happened actually started to make a big impact. Tri....Mara...

Breathing heavily but softly as he could he unzipped one of the plastic bags and pulled out a smaller black backpack-like bag from inside. Grabbing his laptop and a few other things from near by he stuffed as much as he could that he would need into it while still keeping it mobile. He held on to it as he tried to decide what to do from here or if to go. A painful look around the room again as he focused on the next part ...Hexxis. Most dangerous part... wishing Zira was was someone he could trust enough to contact the others. Nope.. likely after him too.

Orienting himself in Hexxis's direction he tried to figure out the best way to go down three levels and walk into her room/cell without being seen and without a hint of shadow teleport. Ah hahahahahaha ....darn it. That was the part which was more reckless rush then smart planning. Or at least he had a plan, just nervous about it.

Moving to the closet he stepped inside and sigh, feeling weird seeing it completely empty of clothing and plushies Mara and Tri gave him when he developed the habit of biting things...which he quickly grew out of. "Okay..." he said softly to himself and phased down into the break room's pantry, a place he raided for now and then for late night snacks.

Locking the door he sat down, placing the bag on his lap as he looked at the blindfold tied around his wrist. A second later it disappeared and he felt the slight disconcerting feeling of being pulled apart like clay but still somehow connected. He was staring down at a small bright glowing winged cat and it he felt was looking back at him...he could almost see himself. ((Light artifact 1: Soul light cool )

There was a blink as they both waited for things to settle as disconcerting as it was, cold cat like eyes stare down at the cat while it fished a comm from his pocket. "Take this to her....don't get distracted and dim your light" Ree muttered holding the com out to the cat that flicked its tail once and picked it up in its mouth. Turning and walking through the door only to leave the comm behind.

"........."
Cat:"......." ::looks back inside picks up the comm and tries to pull it through the wall again.

Ree lifted his hand to his face and sighed.

Cat:steps back in and looking at him accusingly.

"No....of course not. Perhaps. Yes try that " Ree frowned looking back up.

Cat:picks up the comm again and looks toward the wall, phasing to the other side with it this time. (Racial:phasing)

Ree gasped, reaching up to his his chest, that felt odd...as if losing a part of himself then having it snap back. But it...worked.

Cat: blinked as it worked moving already to the edge of the room and did a direct phase down to the level Hexxis was in, already aware of where it would appear in the lower floors. As his physical body squirmed and clung to the backpack, wings curling forward to hide him.

Cat: The comm was like a mouse and it was going to go give it to Hexxis. A more fanciful part of its mind thought as it landed in one of the empty cells, nearly dropping the comm as it saw light just like it ....in the shape of a human? Elf? Fur puffed up and wings bristled as it backed away phasing through another wall, more lights! One tried to grab it .Morelightsmorelightsmorelights! Runrunrunrunurun. Nearly running through Hexxis's cell before realizing this one was lived in..and there was another big light!. Moving under the bed, hoping that security hadn't been watching at that exact moment, it hissed once before dropping the comm and disappearing while the large light watched dispassionately.

Ree jerked his head back against a box of cookies as the "cat" snaps right back into him with almost an echo of a twang. A second later fear floods his system and his heart started racing. "S-shh...." he took a deep breath then another. Okaayy then..something..definitely something...to think about later.

Reaching down he pulled the comm out of his pocket and tuned it to the one dropped in Hexxis's room. "Hello? .... Hexxis?" his voice sounded strained as he whispered trying to calm down.

"....brother...."

The words made him pause for a second, finding them strange but not disagreeable. Even though he had done almost nothing to earn it and that made feel a little guilty.

"Currently yes. Are you okay? have you hear anything from Mara or Tri? " There was a pause and he continued on, not sure how long they would be able to communicate.

"Parley went horribly wrong. One of the city leaders was teleported there and killed with a sword... I am being framed for killing him when I was trying to protect him. Mara disappeared some time during the fight that broke out and Tri....Tri was supposed to meet me back at the trailer. When I arrived it smelled like ozone and there were bits of glass and bullets on the ground. I think he was jumped and taken. " he pause his voice turning cold "A lot of people died.... I lot of humans. " there was a certain deadness now as he said that.

"I am going to -try- and find them. What I am thinking of might not be ...nice" a warning..a hint of frost. Turning himself in without Mara there would be stupid and it would only end with him getting killed for sure.Otherwise it is wait and hope and he couldn't do that when he had at least some pieces where he could try.

"Do you.... do -both- of you " he corrected quickly. "Want to come?" a hint of hope broke through the coldness. He needed someone else with him, someone who could point out where he was going wrong or keep him in a better direction and he would try to do the same in return.

In a way he didn't really consider Hexxis a child, she acted more mature and less mean than many in her age group.

"I may have wanted to use her to prevent you from attacking us, but you are the one that killed her."

Shut up Kage. A flash of fear that followed the memory nearly made him pull back the offer. She was just recovering and it would put her into a lot more danger than they would face at SIU if they went through with what he planned.A cobbled together plan he wouldn't mind having a second mind to work with though. Biting the edge of his lip carefully, he resisted pulling back the offer and waited nervously.

Relief coursed through him as he heard the double affirmative but couldn't not tell which one was who from that short sentence but it didn't matter. It just meant that the rest had suddenly become a lot more dangerous. There was no way he could go down there and help them escape tonight ...but at the same time there were two other he had to at least ask. Tri and he already had plans set for such an event but none of the others knew they were supposed to run.

"I need you to escape. " his voice was firm again, only he open his eyes and looked faintly haunted. "With the least amount of causalities as you can " he ran his hand across his face. "I don't...I don't have the power to get to you so we might have to plan for another day or tomorrow to get them to deploy you. They will notice I was here by tomorrow morning." He sighed.

" Actually... I'm going to do something stupid" his voice sounded remorseful as he summoned his second artifact, holding it lightly in his hand. "I need to see if Leukos and Melody will come. Kae and Zira should be fine" he muttered, hoping he would have enough energy to escape himself after this.

There was a pause as he looked faintly surprised, he should have guessed Hexxis would have an escape plan, but that they could contact Leukos?! that was new.

"Tell him that Mara and Tri are missing, that it is dangerous if they stay. Ask if he can contact Melody and if they want to come with us..." there was a pause. "If they also have a way to escape their room. What is your plan? I can cause a distraction if needed, or help them escape their rooms" he gripped the artifact and let it disappear again without using it as he got up. Everything felt so heavy that he shook his an arm to make sure he hadn't been drugged somehow.

Red winced at the level access but said nothing as he slowly opened the door. "Where are you heading out at? " He could cause a distraction in the opposite direction, it would have to be a very big one as well to hide the fact three metas could possible be running out of the base and into the flats beyond.

Taking a quick look around he pulled the pack up to a shoulder with a sigh, this was going to be in the way..a lot. Okay then.

Moving silently toward the door he carefully cracked it open and gazed outside, keeping to the threshold as he glared for the fire alarm. Cliche but it works. Narrowing his eyes he pulled the handle from inside the glass (telekinisis) and pulled back and closed the door. Moving back to the kitchenette as the alarm sounded he turned on the fire up to high and looked thoughtful. Shrugged and puts a pot on the stove and dropped a whole bunch of oil before heading to the window, waiting for an answer before saying go.

"15 minutes then. Tell me once you get past the gates... I will try to distract as many as I can. What ever happens keep going" he said blankly grabbing on to the first and last part as he ran his hand through his hair. Smoke from the fire was starting to get cloying as he grimaced. 15 minutes or more of actual hardcore distraction without trying to harm anyone and not dying himself.

Fire alarm will help except he wasn't sure if that wouldn't make it worse too. "Well then" he sigh as he teleported outside (sight teleport), wings flaring as he tried to slow his fall before snapping up a shield (telepathic) and diving at the guards, pushing at them as he dove past and circled the guard post areas, getting heavy gun fire as a second alarm sounded. He pulled up out of range as as first twinges of a headache threaten to start. Not... now.

Listening to the shout from below, he kept an eye out for the real danger. Either Zira or one of the prototype Armor units, something that he was dreading to see at all after Naris attacking him yesterday... just yesterday darnit. Now he was here attacking what had been his home ...with people he knew and even the few he could call friend.

Diving again he passed Mara's office with only a hopeful glance , blinking as he saw Asriel and Kae? on his quick flyby. A fresh hail of bullets force him to dropped lower, flying directly at the shooters, forcing them to fly back and go sprawling as they hit his shield.

Taking long graceful downbeats he back winged with every intention to go back and lose them within the panic that was happening inside. At least that had been his plan when a sharp pain in his head nearly made him pass out. His shield dropped and he missed a couple wing beats as he crashed the last few feet to the ground. Automatically he twisted slightly to land in a crouch, wings flared and one hand to his head.

"Damn you!" The first cry went up as one of the soldiers who was thrown got back to his feet and started shooting. the first two bullets hit when the rest were stopped by a falling gutter crashing on the soldier. 7 other soldiers, those either getting up or managing to catch up started shooting at the fallen meta angrily. So many people they lost yesterday to him and he gave them the favor of returning so they could kill him.

Ree gasp in pain as the first bullet tore through the top edge of his shoulder as the other went through a wing. He tried to slam his shield back up but crashed to his side as his vision nearly blanked, crying out as 6 more bullets dug through him at varying areas of his body but didn't hit anything vital.

Around them one of the bullets ricochet and hits a guard in the leg, another has his gun stuck, another two have pieces of gutter fall on them and were struggling with, the six was randomly being attacked by a mosquito swarm, seventh was crashed into by the sixth, the eighth blinked as his gun started to fall to pieces in his hand.

The ninth moved right up to Ree and aimed at his head as the meta tried to pull away from the others. One shot hit the angelic shadow in the leg hearing him scream before aiming toward hid head. A gunshot rang out from behind them and hit the ninth in the arm, exactly paralyzing it as he yelled in pain and fear as his arm just hanging limp at his side. The third looked horrified as his gun unstuck at the worst possible moment but was the last bullet.

Eight guards talked loudly sounding bored even as the fire alarm rang around them. "Likely a prank... someone who doesn't want the rest of us to sleep" muttered one as another laughed before split off to head back to guarding the meta's area.. They took less then a few steps when all 8 guards spotted the three metas. "Wait! you're not supposed to be out of your rooms.(title) Kae's orders " one of them shouted with authority as they moved toward them with a flicker of annoyance...looks like they found who had pulled the fire alarm plus ...it was a lot for their protection as well as their own... especially after yesterday betrayal. There were many in families and friends in mourning, meta kids or other wise running around would not be safe.

Ree kept trying to get up, adrenaline and fear pushing him to his side as he blinked rapidly. Place Place PLACE! He glanced around in panic as he saw the humans,many he recognize, trying to figure out what the heck happen and if they should approach him again .

He didn't try to figure out what they were yelling about as he saw the uncovered end of a tarp hiding one of the lager vehicles in the base nearly across the . He didn't hesitate, Sight teleporting directly underneath only to reappear with the feeling of something stabbed him in the head along with the bullet wounds...and felt nothing more.

Asriel looked toward the radio with a frown, fingers itching still to take it from Kae but he restrained himself as he watched her head out, turning to follow "They aren't, I am sure one of them must have attacked them" he muttered, moving to catch up as he called their one remaining prototype unit to come meet them.


Security:there was another buzz on the Radio:: "Ree has been sighted outside, he's been brought down but ....disappeared?"

Security2: "Emergency! Metas attacking the third level. 1 casualty multiple injured."


Asriel cursed and called the armor prototype unit to go meet them downstairs. "Seems the malice is engaged and Ree not Tri is here. Tell them to find Ree.. and have them send a warning to the third level. s**t... si that smoke? " he growled taking into a run past Kae as smoke curled up from the top level.
