Melvin left America's home feeling more informed, prepared, and a bit tipsy. Warmer by one or all of the three, he headed back to the dorms with a new game plan.
He was going to meet Lawr and pursue him as if he was a fresh face. A new person. An old friend.
Unlocking the dorm, he walked inside and looked around for the man in question. "I'm back." He called out softly, locking the door as he put his coat up. Humming, he moved to the kitchen.

When Melvin got back Lawrence was sitting on the couch with the television playing what looked to be an episode of the X files, he had a leather-bound notebook in his lap and was writing but put it away as the other man entered. The room smelled like cooking and there were some pots and pans simmering gently on the stove.
"Welcome back." he said, tucking the pen away in the journal.

It was nice that Lawrence still cooked, and he lifted up a skillet cover to glance at what he was smelling before closing it and wandering back into the living room area. There, he leaned in the back of the couch and looked over his shoulder.
"Thanks for making dinner. What are you writing?" He asked.
"Can I help with anything?"

"I like cooking." he said with a shrug. "It's me who is indulged by being allowed to cook for you both." He enjoyed the creativity that went into coming up with meals that the other two men might enjoy, stretching his vegetarian muscles with Rodney and making anything he felt like for Melvin.
"I was writing in my journal." he stated. "I've kept one since I got here." He wasn't worried about Melvin reading it either, considering he deliberately wrote the whole thing in swedish and wrote the parts which might incriminate him in a coded form.
"You could set out the plates if you like, for when Rodney gets back."

"Still appreciate it." He called back, moving to the kitchen to take out dinnerware, flatware, and some glasses. With three people, it wasn't hard to set up and he was done quickly.
Moving back, he leaned on the back of the couch some more, watching him a moment. "Have you kept a journal before coming here?"
