Admist all the finals prep, the final projects and stress, Hydrus found a quiet evening to take up his mantle as the Senshi of the Leviathan, and take a pot of tea out into the night with him. He rarely strayed from his small campus apartment as his civilian self, but being Hydrus allowed him a level of secrecy and the stamina to travel farther on the return trip.
This night, he'd secluded himself on a low roof top some blocks from campus, out towards the sports fields. A steaming travel mug of tea sat on the roof in front of him, the senshi's gaze turned skyward in thought. Many months had passed since he'd last ventured into space, to that terrible place, and yet something... something called him back. For many weeks, Hydrus had debated on whether it was the logical side of him, telling him to give it one more go before completely disconnecting himself from it. Or whether his homeworld simply called him home.
The senshi brought a cup of tea to his lips and sighed, sipping the strong brew. Senshidom was... confusing. Would being part of the Dark Mirror Court really be any different from that? Too many variables unaccounted for.
It was with these thoughts that Hydrus set to internal debate, awareness fading from the space around him until it was only his thoughts and his cup of tea. An easy target to be snuck up on, but no one powered came out this far. Usually.

Machholz stretched her arms above her head as she stepped away from her power up spot by her apartment complex. She'd adjusted to living alone.... sort of. It wasn't easy at all, but she was coping with loud music, Netflix marathons, and extra patrolling when she was really bored. But honestly, the DMC of Poison wanted... a friend. She didn't have many, and certainly no one she could just call up and be like: Hey come spend the night. Better go find some while patrolling, eh? She picked up on another signal by her. It felt like a basic, but it wasn't quite close enough to be exact. So off she went toward the signature and she managed to find the male senshi who looked like he was just going to stay there all night. As she landed near him, she put her hands behind her back and whistled.

It was hard to really be startled, when one had a sort of internal radar system of powered energy. He'd sensed her approach, if in a vague subconscious way while being consumed in thought. She'd clearly come this far, for what reason Hydrus' subconscious couldn't determine. After all, what did you do at that point? Alert the very focused individual who was trying to talk himself out of going back to his homeworld one last time with a mirade of excuses (he was up to reason #98 why he shouldn't go back) or simply stay alert to the approaching signature of Chaos and let what happened, happen?
Obviously, his subconscious was in a jovial mood.
The ear splitting whistle startled Hydrus out of his meditation... focused arguing with himself, whatever you wanted to call it with such alarm he jumped. Tea - hot tea - spilled all over his fingers and fuku, scalding his skin. It was a wonder the mug didn't crash on the rooftop. The base level senshi yelped very uncharactistically, and turned to stare hard at the new comer. Teal eyes glared at her as he set about wiping his now slightly red fingers free to tea.
"Of all the ways to get my attention, you choose that?! I spilled a perfectly good cup of tea from that," he said, annoyance in his voice. Hydrus almost childishly pouted at her, though he caught himself before he could do so.
Externally at least.

She winced when she got scolded for whistling and just let out a little noise. "Sorry," she murmured, putting her hands behind her back. Machholz hadn't actually meant to spook him like that. "Ah, I was trying to work on being non threatening, because... apparently I can give off those vibes." Black painted lips curled into a smile before sighing. "Uhm. So, tea? What kind of tea is it?" She was curious, leaning over him and biting her lip. "I'd offer to help clean you, but I don't have anything on me. Are you okay? Are you burned badly?"
