Sharp cries of pain.. despair.. and torment fills the air. Snarls of hatred and anger follow. A young winged pup bloody and violently shaken as the alpha bites around the base of it's wing. Shaking his head violently as if to tear the whole limb off. Anger and fury goes through Nekros as he watches this. The poor pup had the misfortune of being born with one wing smaller than the other.. His father, the alpha had loathed the pup since it's birth.
A burning rage goes through Nekros as this goes on. He doesn't know how long til he can't watch this any longer. This is cruelty at it's finest. All winged should be cherished.. That's what the pack believes.. Yet the alpha does this.. He who was not born with wings.
If this continues... There will be nothing that could be done to heal this pup.. It will be wingless.. crippled... broken.. One can live with torn wings.. if there is enough skin and membrane it could even fly.. but if it has no wing limbs... It loses it's ability to fly forever. Such a cruel world..
Blood flows from where the jaws are in the skin of the pup. It's crimson color and metallic scent filling the air. He has to stop this.. Somehow.. Yet to do so would go against the alpha.. He is just a beta healer.. This isn't his place..
The urge to protect this pup is strong.. and after the sound of bone breaking is heard he couldn't take it anymore. He has to stop it or try.. At this point it is crucial.
He steps forward from among the throng of wolves. " Stop this.. You will cripple him! How dare you as a Alpha and a father do this to your own son!"
He flings himself forward as the Alpha turns to him and they start to fight. Teeth bared. Jaws snapping. Claws digging into fur and skin. The scene is wild..brutal. Neither one gives up til Nekros is pinned. Silently he curses himself for not realizing the other would pull this move. He expects his life to be taken.
Yet teeth grip his shoulder and dig deep. Blood flowing down and then the Alpha starts to growl. " Get out.. You are no longer pack. I will kill you if you aren't out of my territory now."
Nekros looks at the pup and the Alpha snaps at him." I said get OUT!"
Nekros had no choice but to turn and fly off. Away from the pup whom he is sure won't make it til next spring.. The pack on his heels til he is out of the borders. Curse the fates.. Curse that pack.. He can't go back ever again.

He had traveled for weeks on end. Searching for the different herbs and plants to aide any wolf that needed his abilities. Along his way he would barter food or bits and pieces of information for his services. It was during one of these transactions where he heard the rumors of two wolves taking on two packs and winning. Just two against many. It is almost too unreal to be true. Yet if it is true.. There are wolves that could use his help.. He could probably seek protection there. After all.. As a healer he couldn't remain wandering on his own for long.
He sets off in search of these two wolves. The whispers of the Riftclaw pack becoming more frequent with each wolf he helps. Though changes to the story are to be expected as word of mouth has a tendency to do that. Having finished finding all the things he needs for his satchel he goes further towards the wastelands. Where it would be harder to find plants he would need. Yet towards a possible future with a pack he could respect.
