On a typical Wednesday morning, Priscilla Stratford would be cocooned within three of the plushiest blankets, her beautiful pink curls adorning the soft, down-feathered pillow on her soft pink and white bedding.

Today, however, was not a typical Wednesday morning.

Sleep had been evading the young woman for the duration of the night, forcing her out of bed early due to restlessness. So instead, she now wandered the streets of Destiny City at the crack of dawn, a grumpy Sailor Dia patrolling for any unfortunate joggers or transients that might wander across her pathway.

If she couldn't get sleep, she could at least get an early start on her quota for May.

The tune was loud, sharp enough to carry through the streets and the senshi gave pause to listen.

Well, well, well.

There was a new bounce in her step as she took to following the sound, waves of pink swaying with the skips as black heels tapped along the sidewalk. Black ribbon and strings of pearls bobbed with the sway, a glove brushing back her bangs so she could get a better look from around the corner - the tune was growing closer, so she knew she was getting close.

And there he was. Casual, clearly in a good mood, a young man with a ball and shoes on his way to - she'd guess - the sports field nearby, near the park.

She had many options, but it boiled down to either one of two inevitable conclusions. Either he wouldn't see her coming or he would watch as his starseed was plucked from his broad chest. Decisions, decisions.

Opting for the latter, she put on her best fake smile and raised her hand in the air, calling out after the student as she made her way towards him, "Hello? Hello! Excuse me, I'm sorry - do you know how I can get to the college from here?'

The smile remain plastered on, the young woman reminding herself to keep her eyes wide and innocent as she emitted a short, embarrassed giggle. She closed in the gap between them in a matter of moments, heels continuing to click along the sidewalk, the only sound besides his own footsteps on the lonely street.

"Oh thank you." Sidling up beside him, the candy senshi sized him up. It would be easier to take him by surprise - she wasn't feeling terribly malicious this morning, just a bit grumpy. He didn't deserve an awfully traumatic death, right? "I'm surprised to see anyone out and about this early..."

Glancing back from where they came, then in front of them, she spied no one else in sight. Good. Her attention turned back to the soccer enthusiast as she asked sweetly, "Are you by yourself? Kind of lonely to be out by yourself, don't you think? I'm Dia, by the way!"

For a brief second, a look of frustration flashed across the corrupted scout's face, wrinkles forming on her forehead, around the large chasm of her senshi marking. It disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, Dia still determined to play her part. The right turn in her direction - or away from her, even - and his torso would be left open, a star seed ripe and ready for plucking.

It was just a shame, really, that he wasn't in a more playful mood to go along with her facade.

"O-Oh..." The disappointment clear in her voice, but she kept up with his pace. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you..."

Pausing, her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, as if she wasn't sure how to continue this train of thought so early in the morning. Then she added, "Do you play for a team? Anyone I might have heard of?"

His tone may have been hesitant, but the fact that he was willing to respond to her told her that she could play this game a little bit longer.

"I don't have the stamina for sports," Gloved fingers moved to fidget with themselves as she started walking towards the direction of the field. It wasn't as though he could change his course - she knew where he was going and he couldn't stop her from heading down the same path. "Then again, I don't really see the appeal of all the pushing and shoving to get what you want..."

Pausing, she smiled to herself. "You know, for goals and whatnot. How long have you been playing, Tom?"

As he spoke of tackles and injuries, an idea popped into her head.

"Tackles, no, but don't you shove one another to get to the ball?" Her approach towards him was casual, but her intentions and gaze remained on his chest. "Any sport can be a contact sport, I imagine, when testosterone is flaring."

Her heels didn't stop until she was standing across from him, awkwardly stopping him, just as a player might in a game. Dia had never been one for sports - and risk breaking a nail? - but she certainly didn't mind interrupting someone from their extracurricular activity.

One hand moved up to raise up across from his chest. "What happens if an opponent were to shove you...when you were playing soccer? Do you shove them back?"

"Penalized, huh?"

Her eyes were studying the front of his shirt, to the point where even she recognized that she'd been staring for too long and creating an awkward situation. Ah, well. It wouldn't matter soon anyhow and it wasn't like she'd have to make up any more lies or excuses as to her motives. This poor man would at least get to look at a pretty girl before kicking the bucket - not an all around terrible way to die, in the end.

"I imagine it's more of a punishment for the one being shoved than the one shoving. Guess we could always see, right?"

Without a second thought, her hand dipped inside his chest and began searching for that glittering, perfect little starseed.

She'd almost gotten hold of her precious prize when he'd started talking. At first, she gave him credit - no one else had ever managed to keep their cool, much less their half of the conversation, when her hand was digging in their chest. As his words registered, however, she flinched.

Seconds later, the warm pulse of Negaverse energy shot through her as her gloved hand enclosed over his seed. The shock sent her hand flying backwards and out of his chest - what in the world?!

"You...."

Her cheeks flushed from embarrassment. She'd been targeting a Negaverse agent this entire time and he hadn't bothered to let her know? He just let her continue on, making a fool out of herself!?

"Well I hope you got a good laugh out of this." Her tone was sulky, arms now folding across her chest as she scowled at the young man. "It would have been nice if you had said something, before making me look stupid."
