After Gang Up From The Past (Tri's journal)
New...New Adventure?
It had taken some time, but Rasiel was finally calmed down. He felt bad that he hadn't checked on Estrian sooner after all that mess but at least he did at all. Stormy had been adamant about going with, now hiding behind a large tiger plush that she held in her arms. Rasiel reluctantly let her tag along as they walked to Estrian's home in Sanctuary. He approached and knocked on the door.
Estrian was staring at the bottom of the glass with a melancholy look as he swished the liquid around once more and sighed taking a sip. The sudden knock on the door made him pause with the glass resting on his lips and sighed as he put it down, hoping it was someone in need of healing and not Tri. Opening the door he blinked as he stared at Rhun and Stormy, so they didn't take her..was she staying with Rhun now? "Uh ..hello..." he said looking confused and realizing that likely they were here for him to reverse what he did to Tri. He let out a soft sigh but waited all the same
Rhun sighed with a bit of relief as Estrian hadn't left with how angry he might have been. "Sorry to disturb you, and... sorry for earlier.. I didn't know he was coming too. Although I didn't know about... well..." he paused, looking down at Stormy, deciding to refrain from saying more.
Stormy looked up at Estrian and gave a small wave, almost hiding behind the tiger plush.
"They left now..." he sighed, "How are you feeling?" Rhun asked him with a bit of concern. Estrian sighed at the fact they left. Tri likely had the blonde heal him or something, likely unable to walk right at all now..and ...it didn't care..he shouldn't care. Lifting a hand he waved a little at Stormy, looking at her before resting his gaze in the ornament in her head and finally looking up at Rhun.
"It's fine... I mean..I had a guess when I saw Stormy. She was with you..-he- was wanted. I assumed maybe she was an orphan now" he shook his head. "Never mind. What were the odds of them both appearing...it assume the other guy he was with was your ex?" Moving out of the way to invite them in, he had only started drinking but since Stormy was here he wouldn't offer Rhun any...he might have tea..likely not what she would like. Rhun nodded in understanding. "I knew about him, I just didn't know about the two of you..." Stormy blinked with a curious frown before reaching up to touch her ethereal feathers, causing a shiver to run down her spine at the odd feeling then pulling her hand down to stare at it.
"Yeah.. We were married. Had two kids. Although I didnt know about Hexxis until much later... I raised Melody on my own... And the moment she was to be taken care of by him, she was captured and he never tried to get her back from SIU.." he spoke, clenching his teeth as he shook his head. He stepped inside as Stormy followed right behind him. "...does that make you... my...uhm... third dad...?" she asked with a worried and confused look.
Rhun frowned. "I really don't know anymore..."
Stormy frowned in response. "..okay."
Estrian look up at him with a flicker of surprise then anger at the mention of SIU. "SIU is always taking people that don't want to go ...and brainwashing those they have to keep on the pretense of they have a choice" he shook his head "So you're Hexxis father and she ..has a sister? They were both taken by SIU? " he sighed shifting wings slightly and motioned to the chairs that had been there when arrived to the house. "Sit if you want. Do you want anything to eat, drink?" for once he could say that without worrying, taking the packets of food sanctuary gave them instead of rationing everything and it felt good.
"Tri adopted her...she has his last name. How could you stand that seeing it every time you go into the main building?" glancing over at Stormy as she ran her fingers through the ornament. "Careful you don't get hit to hard in that area... it is an easy way to get knocked out" he muttered in warning before looking up at Rhun still angry. "Your ex didn't go after them... and now he is with Tri. SIU?"
Rhun moved to a sit and exhaled heavily. "...brainwashing..." he repeated with a hint of distress. "He said that she... Melody.. chose to stay with them.. with Mara. There's nothing I can do... He was supposed to save her, but he didn't." he explained before running a hand through his hair. "I'm Hexxis' real father. When she was born... they said she had died due to complications. But turns out they tucked her away, made her an experiment... then transferred her to SIU. I only very recently found out about it... that Hexxis was my daughter. I have a certain detachment because I have never even met her, but I also feel anger and sorrow that she should have been with me. And not a soldier of SIU." he took another breath as he shook his head at the offer of food or drink.
Stormy made a noise of surprise, looking up to Estrian as she blinked. She looked back down at her hand then to Estrian. "...do you... have juice?..." she asked quietly. Rhun looked to Stormy before answering at least the last question. "He didn't even try. And now he's with that... that dog.. " he growled. "Probably been with him the whole damn time.." "Kylar.... " he paused and ran his hand through his hair before looking at Stormy and nodding. "Yes, just give me a moment" he said pausing to get them orange juice and offering it to both of them.
"I saw Kylar when I went to back to Hinale. He needed a healer for Hexxis... we talked. He said SIU forced him to brainwashed Andy, that her only wish was to be loved by someone and he tried to be that person. " he sigh. "I don't agree with what happened ..but that is what he said. Soon after we were attacked and I ...things became blury. As Tri said I can beserk.. usually when attacked I think I did that. I woke up captured by someone named Yoko? She had Kylar but ..." he shivered and shook his head. " Odd things.. very odd things". "I wouldn't be surpised if your um ex? I didn't catch his name... was working with SIU... Tri wouldn't leave for anything... not injury... not love, not even being a father. He is the perfect loyal dog" wings bristles slightly. "I am sorry... so very sorry to know Hexxis was kept from you.. she seemed nice. A little out of it but she was injured with a fever. I guess SIU has her again... " he said sadly. Rhun listened intently to what Estrian had to say, eyes narrowing in thought. "Hexxis was sick... and where was Tri.. or that piece of s**t mercenary I keep hearing about..." he growled again, "Nevermind... I don't want to know... All I know is that although I don't trust Kylar for what he did to Andy, I can't ignore the fact that he did call you for healing her."
Stormy fumbled with the tiger for a moment before setting it down on the couch and grabbing the cup from Estrian with a small smile. ".......th-...thank you...?" she looked to Rhun, unsure. Rhun nodded in approval as he took the other cup offered to him. "You're getting better at that, Stormy." he encouraged and she smiled a little more and drank the orange juice quietly.
Taking another breath, he tried to get back to the conversation. Blinking in surprise, he narrowed his gaze again, "Yoko... I'm surprised you're still alive. That's my niece, and she's no one to be trifled with." he paused, waving a dismissive hand. "My ex-husband... Zaku. The one and only.." he muttered the last part through clenched teeth in anger. "I'm beginning to see that Zaku will change sides quickly to whatever suits him... running to whatever he can cling to... any form of attention he can get.." he sighed then his expression grew serious again. "...Maybe I should just get Hexxis and Melody back myself... I threatened it before... but he said he'd handle it... I was so stupid to believe that he wasn't just stalling. And now..." he paused, looking over to Stormy who slid her attention over to him and stared at him.
Est gave Stormy a quick smile as she thank him only to loose it a moment later as he looked at Rhun and nodded. He didn't know what was going on just that he was dragged into this when he went into Hanile and he was concern for some of the people.
There was another shiver as he nodded to him. Metas weren't that common so having many related to each other still wasn't that surprising other than Rhun seem to know quite a few, more than a few. "She isn't.... she changed Kylar. She controls him...she even took off his head and he lived..." opening up a bit more when it seem Rhun knew Yoko, as if hoping he could maybe explain what he saw and in a small part of him wondering if he could help Kylar if he did. He didn't approve what he did to Andy but he saved him and tried to help Hexxis as well as fight against SIU.
"Zaku..." he repeated with a look that said he was trying to remember where he heard or saw that name before, then just shook his head. "Very likely, Tri isn't very giving of his attention and he was defending him like he was blind to everything" his feathers bristled as he mentioned Tri's name, but continued. "If he is with Tri then he is with SIU. " he sighed. "It would even make sense why he would tell you to wait.. while they work to make them better weapons. " he looked concern. "At least that is what I would assume. I am pretty bias there too having been chase around to learn that they wanted to use me .. or my dead body" he muttered. "What I don't understand is why they are leaving her with you instead of others at SIU? "
He thought for a moment, "If I remember, she was given a puppet as a child. I only knew her then, but I heard she senselessly murdered thousands and was ejected from the Renegades."
It was almost too much to hear. What SIU was doing to others. Making them loyal soldiers. It made his blood boil and it was taking everything in him to just keep calm. Stormy lifted her head to look at Estrian, "Because my brother is sick in his head and I'm sick too." she answered quietly. "...nobody wants us... but Mr. Dad is coming back with rules... uhm... I don't remember them... I think no weapons yet. And... Uhh... don't attack them..." Estrian grimaced, easily seeing her do that. Turning his gaze to Stormy he blinked and frowned. "You're not sick... not of any disease at least" he said quietly. "I checked ...in the head" he frowned slightly and looked at Rhun with a hint of question but he was restless again with what they were talking about. Tri was such an ...idiot!.
"No weapons ...yet " he sighed. "So eventually... " feeling a hint of despair.
Stormy blinked curiously then frowned. "Mr. Dad said only a doctor can say if I'm not sick..." she took a sip of juice then nodded.
Rhun sighed, "I was told she has violent tendencies. Steals things. Not to give her weapons. That she uses her powers as a first line of defense and usually runs away a lot." he paused, "On the day I met her, she pretty much did all that."
"They were sending me away again!" she exclaimed suddenly then paused, shying away again. "Mrs. Dad made us go to sleep and I woke up here..." Rhun frowned, "Her brother is much more violent and unstable." he spoke honestly.
Stormy frowned. Then looked to Estrian and set down her cup for a bit. "I remember now! Mr. Dad said I'm not allowed to choke Robot Sister and I could have a gun again when I'm older... to learn how to shoot.. because I shot him once." she moved her hands like shapes in the air. "But I didn't know it was Mr. Dad. He touched me and I didn't like it so I shot him a lot until they broke my gun." she frowned. "...I don't like when he touches me..."
Estrian bristled his feathers "I'm a healer. Tri can't heal himself out of a wet moldy paper bag. You are not sick... you might have some problems that need to be treated but you're not sick " looking at Rhun for help in this, language mattered here. After hearing she did all that he sighed heavily and his feathers smoothed down a little. That did seem problematic still to let her believe she was sick and that maybe it was contagious or that she will never get better would just help to make anything she actually had worse. Seem like Tri never even changed even when he had another set of children. Poor Ree and Hexxis....
"Mrs Dad?" he blinked and looked at her confused, Mrs Dad? if he wasn't so angry he would have been amused, was that what she was calling Zaku? Well any assumption they weren't together went out the window in that. A dull pain developed in his chest at the idea, but it was an old bitter scar after Tri and flared up learning what he knew now.
Her brother? She has a brother?! Estrian sighed deeply. It made him wonder why Tri who had to be convinced and pushed for weeks before he even agreed would decide to have more children. Or was Zaku more his type?
Estrian stared at Stormy, just stared at her. His mind trying to form some kind of response to the fact she had been using a gun and had tried to choke her sister...Hexxis? When she mentioned being touched. He froze wide-eyed as he stared at her for a moment then let out his breath trying to look calm. "He touched you and you...broke his gun. Still he touched you. Why did he touch you? .......where?" he asked quietly. Stormy stared at him with a hopeful face. "I'm not sick?" she asked, a small smile on her face. "He's right. You may have a few things you can work on, but you're getting so much better every day. And you remember more and more. I'm really proud you're doing so great." he encouraged her with a smile.
Stormy smiled more, hopping a bit excitedly, before turning back to Estrian again. "Yeah! Mrs. Dad is the other dad. He watches my brother and I because Mr. Dad is always leaving.
There was a pause as she followed along in his understanding of what she said. "No no no, he touched me, and he broke my gun." she commented on a huff, before she tilted her head in confusion. "He touches me because I don't listen. Uhm... He grabbed my ankle.. And I fell down and had a bloody nose. Also he grabbed me here..." she motioned to her torso before looking back up to Estrian, "That's also where Mr. Dad stabbed me with a knife... I can't even feel anything there anymore..." she commented, lifting her shirt to show the scar on her stomach. She appeared very unphased by the conversation as she just answered questions she was given. Estrian slowly turned his head to look at Rhun with a near blank look. "Are they still here? I need to go paralyze his arms now" he said sounding almost pleasant, as he pushed down the shock and anger that rose from hearing that. He assumed she has been injured there in an accident not tha Tri..has stabbed her. He touched her torso .. but has he touch her elsewhere? It was so far not to go off and try to find him... or to hope he never returned.
Rhun frowned and shook his head, "They left some time ago to look for Hexxis and Ree." he answered simoly, running a hand through his hair.
"Why are you hurting Mr. Dad..." she asked softly, not understanding why he was reacting this way. "He's going to come back for me...." Stormy paused for a moment then smiled excitedly, beginning to spark. "Show me how to do it!!!" Rhun showed a flicker of concern at how excited she was getting over something she should have found morbid.
Stormy was running in place and smiling then suddenly stopped with a loud gasp. She pointed a finger at Estrian. "I'm a healer too!!! I can do that! Teach me to save my brother from dying and stuff!!!" she half-demanded with an delighted look.

He blinked and stared as she jumped from concern to excited and he frowned as he listened to her reasoning. Looking up at Rhun he looked questioningly at him "is he dying?" He asked before looking at her. "I can show you how to heal normally...if you can sense a person body that is. Can you?" Since all items were different.
"Oh wait... We are supposed to be protected so we don't kill unless we have to. Uhh.. Oh, maybe... How do I do that?" she tilted her head a little. "Sense the body..." she crossed her arm but pulled a hand to rest her hand on chin as she closed her eyes and tapped her foot. "I might be able to... how would I know?"
Estrian frowned and looked to Rhun again. "Hm... I think we should wait until you are a little older if you have the ability to. It can be ...tricky and dangerous. " he would have been willing but going from what they both said it might not be a good time now..if she was using a gun to shoot others. "Stormy ...back to when he touched you...did he touch you anywhere else?" Stormy's sparks died down and she frowned, a defeated expression on her face. "...why am I always waiting to grow up... I want to be older already so I can fight people like Mr. Dad and Robot Sister. Oh! Like breaking people's arms!! Ohhhhhh... Is that how you got Mr. Dad to stay?" she asked curiously.
Rhun shook his head. "Stormy.. there's no fighting. No hurting others, you know that." Stormy blinked and looked at Estrian. "Huh?" she took in the question and tried to remember. "I... I think a lot of places? I don't really remember... Uhh..Here... Aaaand here..." she began to point at herself. Her ankles. Her stomach, her arms, her head. "Oh! One time he held me down on the ground while I cried and he told me if I moved I would die and Mrs. Dad forced my brother to stay in the bedroom." she explained innocently before staring at him. "He also kicked my bed and knocked me to the floor because I wouldn't listen." she then made a fake gasp and a thud sound with her mouth. Rhun was beginning to look very distressed about it all. "I wasn't told about any of that..." he commented, looking to Estrian with concern. "Her brother is arriving later and I'm supposed to travel with them now that it's likely Tri has told Mara of my real identity...."
Estrian looked worried, having it said in that way by a child made it a lot worse than how he had been seeing it. Tri was always running away, sick, injured, healthy. "Lets...not ..use this for battle" feeling uncomfortable talking about that, or using something that is normally, used to help to harm. Which is why after some time he always healed Tri back up but..if he touched her if he did -that- it would be a hard decision.
"Exactly, not fighting or hurting others" the reasonhe came here, the reason he wanted to stay here. Feeling a hint of relief he didn't have to figure out how to get out of that one.
Estrian listened as she talked, looking at where she pointed with dread. Once she was done the feeling had not left as he frowned. Tri threaten to kill her? And stabbed her? And no one was trying to take them away? "Stormy did he touch here or here?" Motion to his own chest then his lower area with concern.
Glancing at Rhun he blinked "wait....really identify?" A dawning fear struck through him as he tensed, confused. Stormy frowned, "Okay..." she succumbed to the request she not do those kind of things.
She watched him point to himself then looking down at herself with a very deep thought. "...I don't...think so?" she answered and looked back up to Estrian and shrugged with a frown. "...i can't remember well sometimes... but I... uhm.. I don't think he touched me there..." There was a sigh of relief however small that it looked like maybe Tri hadn't done the worst to her, but it didn't take away the fact he had hurt her multiple times. Abuse was still abuse and he was outraged just below the surface. When Estrian then questioned his identity, Rhun paused. He had assumed Estrian might have figure it out by now. He frowned, a look of pain in his gaze as he looked away. "...maybe we should go..." he suggested quietly, looking to Stormy who met his gaze with a look of confusion.
The fact he showed no recognition when Zaku's name was mentioned was a telling hint he was very unaware of who had actually been in the room and who he was talking to now. The worried look only deepened when Rhun decided to leave instead to answer. "You're on the board to?" He asked quietly, relieved slightly by what Stormy told him but it was tempered with what Rhun was doing and the realization that Tri would never have changed not even with a child.
Rhun sighed, "Yes.." he muttered, "And I could tell you all day that I didn't do it,... but very few people actually believe me... So maybe it's best we part ways now before this gets complicated. We... had come to say goodbye anyway... Since, as soon as her brother arrives, we will be leaving to travel around in order to keep them safe." he spoke regretfully.
Stormy frowned, "Oh.. I brought you something..." she announced softly, pulling out a piece of blue construction paper from her pocket. Holding it out to him, it was obviously cut into the shape of a feather. "I..don't have wings.. but if I did, they'd be blue!" she offered a faint smile, a hint of pain in her eyes as it was apparently time for them to go.
Estrian wanted to ask who he was on the boards but refrained it was likely better he didn't know so he didn't have to lie. Still it was a surprise...not that he would be quick to agree with what ever Criel put out.
Silently Estrian nodded "I would believe you" so far he had shown no reason to."You going to travel with them? So you not going to return again? How about who protect them from their parents?" He frowned.
Blinking he looked down at Stormy and smiled taking it."Yes...blue would fit you" he agreed with a pained smile."In thanks" he paused and broke off one of his own feathers with his powers and presented it to Stormy."If you need help even from Tri call me here in sanctuary okay? I'll try to go to you"
It was painful to hear that he would believe him, a rare occurence and honestly put him in a difficult decision to reveal it. He glanced to Stormy, he couldn't say it in front of her like this as he sighed. "Its the one that started this war on our kind.... that got this place shut down once before... and I'll be dead before I let them take this place away from those that need it... not again." he confessed, hopefully giving enough information that Estrian would figure it out. Or maybe he wouldn't. "...it's the highest one..." he finally added in a soft, pained voice.
Looking back down to Stormy, he frowned then looked to Estrian. "I... don't know. It's not that the thought of just doing it myself hasnt crossed my mind. It's just that I know one of Tri's powers I'm very weak to... I know it because Zaku doesn't have it... but yet they do. So if Zaku and Tri come after me, I won't hold up against them very long. Zaku knows me... I'm probably predictable to him by now.. And Tri can easily overpower me. So what choice do I have against the two of them." he reasoned with a frown.
Stormy smiled more as Estrian complimented her choice in color and increased even further when he offered one of his own. She took it carefully and put it her pocket with the others she had. Blinking innocently, she listened to him and nodded. "I.... how do I remember that..." she asked with a frown.
Estrian stared at him and nodded slowly watching the reaction in his face and voice, he meant it as far as he could tell. It must have been one of the bounties he had ignored since it didn't seem to relate to those he knew. He will be going up to check on them soon after this.
Estrian nodded slowly, Tri could be scary when he wanted to be. Unconsciously it might also why it was so easy to do what he did when he was angry at him. "True.... unless you have any water abilities?" he asked quietly. "Tri.... has an extreme weakness to water. As in a large amount of water will knock him out for a while. Which just leaves you with Zaku " he shifted uncomfortably. "If you are traveling.... I don't know., you could all maybe disappear" he said quietly before turning to look at Stormy.
"Remember..right" he said moving to write down the number he had on another piece of paper which was just sanctuary's phone number and handed it to her.
Looking back up at Rhun he sighed. "That applies to you as well. if you need help I can go see what I can do. I am not that great of a fighter but healing... or anything ... "
"Unfortunately, my powers are related to blood, sound, and emotional manipulation. Past that, I have little advantage there." he retorted softly. "It is a possibility to just.. disappear... but if they ever found me, I would likely die. "
Stormy took the paper and put it in her pocket. "...call doctor man if I'm in trouble...call doctor man if I'm in trouble..." she repeated, trying to remember. "...from Mr. Dad..." she frowned, "...why don't you come with us..." she suggested then looked to Rhun.
Rhun nodded to Estrian. "Thank you." He then turned his attention to Stormy with a frown. "He's busy here helping others..." he tried to reason with her. Stormy sighed. "Ooookay.." she frowned before moving to pick up the large tiger plush from the couch where she had set it down.
Estrian ruffled his feathers with a wince before nodding. "Take care then..." feeling like he should do more, offer more but he didn't know what. He was hiding from everyone and Tri came with his Ex and the twins...and put him on the spot. He is taking care of Tri's children while Tri turned him in... this was complete ludacris. "It's not fair" he muttered and sighed watching Stormy. "I need to s-..." he paused and looked at Rhun. "I don't really need to stay. No one has been even mildly injured or sick since I arrives... I ..could..." he trailed off watching him. Not even sure hwy he was offering other than it seemed completely unfair to him and the children. Also that he might have somehow been involved in all of this somehow worried on hi smind.
Rhun stared at Estrian, reading him, and as far as he could tell, he was being genuine. A look of pained relief before only the faintest smile touched his lips before it faded for now. Looking to stormy, the slight smile was back, "Do you want Estrian to come with us.... travel around with your brother..." he offered. Stormy appeared to think about it for a short time before smiling and nodding. Looking to Estrian she smiled but had a flicker of slight worry. "...do you want your feather back?..." she asked quietly. Rhun still have a relieved sigh. If there was anyone he'd rather travel with, it was Estrian. He felt he could at least trust him.
Estrian looked faintly surprised and nodded as he tried to figure out what he needed. Looking down at Stormy he shook his head "No, you can keep it" he smiled faintly then looked at Rhun. "You don't mind either? " Making sure as he suddenly felt a little self conscious, trying to help but realizing it might seem as if he was inviting himself. Then there was Tri and Zaku involved....and Rhun made it sound like Zaku was a big deal...he likely should look him up too.
Stormy smiled as he let her keep the feather.
Rhun nodded, "I don't mind it." He gave a faint smile. Estrian smiled faintly even if he was still angry for everything that has happened. Enough to even go it seems, something that was surprising even himself. "When do you leave? Where do we go? I uh ... haven't traveled around much so any hints on what to take would be great ..." he went from confused to a little sheepish.
"As soon as I've obtained her brother." he answered then thought about the other question. "Anywhere.. Everywhere... Wherever we want to go." he offered, a faint smile touch his lips. "Clothes, necessities, cellphone and charger. Maybe a camera and journal to document the place a you've been." his smiled increased, honestly a little excited now but he shoved the emotion down just a little. Looking to Stormy and the smile was back.
Estrian nodded, looking to Stormy then back. Wondering if he brother was just like her as well and what the story is with him. Looking at Rhun he smiled faintly, the excitement in his voice transferring because he was already thinking what he could take and what he should leave, something that would have been meet with dread and likely still would after they leave...or maybe not. Traveling without being chased had its own temptations. So many places we went through that is he wasn't in such a hurry to leave he might have stayed a little longer. He might have told Rhun he didn't move travel much and it was true, not in any care free way and usually only between three places one which he was found and lived in when he was younger. "I'll start getting ready then " he moved to the door smiling already. Rasiel genuinely smiled for the first time in very many years. "Alright, I'll new you at the mansion." he then looked to Stormy. "We have to get your things ready too, right?"
Stormy smiled and nodded. "Yeah." Getting up, she pulled the stuffed tiger closer to her and got up. "I'll see you then" already looking around, it won't take him to long but he can stall a little longer so he wasn't interrupting as they got ready.
