Kept...somewhere, Cullo's stack of journals has grown slowly but continuously over the years. Each volume is wrapped in smooth, worn leather, and fastened with a strap of the same. He keeps the most recent one literally "up his sleeve" for times when he is on the move. One never knows when the opportune or necessary time will come to jot a few notes down by sun, moon, or candlelight.

No one really knows when Cullo was born, but he was found on March 14, 2016 in the fae wood Sulia. Why a meta was there is unclear but there he was, dancing naked in the middle of the forest. There was no music, only this child's spectre.
Hísime was a young parent then, she thought correctly that a meta child would help along her life of petty crime. One of the first things she stole was a hill censer from a monastery's museum collection. She gave this to Cullo and discovered what it was like to have a meta child.
Since then there have been two new additions to the family. Cullo enjoyed being an only child but as much as he misses the undivided attention, he likes being the eldest child, too. He's the boss and even the larger boy Hendugaul listens to him. And he enjoys protecting Firnriel. It is unclear to others if he feels any actual love toward them, however.

Background: It is speculated that he was one of unknown number of metas created by an unknown person after Sanctuary was closed. If so, that would make him anywhere between four and twenty years old. That said, his age is unknown, though Hísime was the first and only "parent" to approach him four years ago.
Who remembers their own birth? Cullo does not remember how long he danced alone in Sulia Wood. It was with a sense of timelessness that he lived alone and survived alone. He knew of fae who ignored or avoided him. They were all apparitions in the corner of his eye. Nothing like being alienated by one's own people to feel a total disconnect from the world. Hísime gave him that anchor to reality and in some ways he hates her for it. On the other hand she gave him a sense of purpose that no one else had and he loves her for it.
Current Location: His home is in Sanctuary. While it was closed he had lived in Belosh with Hísime, Firnriel, and Hendugaul.

Hisime, is the half-elf parent who's into a lot of shady dealings. She is not the smartest thief around, but somehow she rarely gets caught. It may have something to do with faery glamour but who knows for sure?
Firnriel, fallen-ghost middle child and his younger sister is quiet and quite fragile. Something horrible happened in her recent past that she cannot seem to remember. Perhaps it is better this way; she can focus on healing without reliving a painful past.
Hendugaul, feral-elf youngest child and his younger brother is also fragile. His ego is shaky and his tongue sharp, almost opposite to their sister. Whatever happened in his past left him unable to trust anyone.
As traditions go, theirs is not a poor household. It really is rich with culture, even if it is upheld by the rules of a thief. They even have (probably stolen) artifacts decorating the walls.
Hísime tries to expose them to her elven heritage, which she idolizes while she hates her human heritage. She ignores human holidays and makes all the kids celebrate elven ones, even if they are not elven themselves.
She encourages them to find out about their heritage as well. She will send them to the library if they don't know. So a mix of Fae, Feral, Fallen, and Ghost traditions pepper their everyday life.

(Above is a hill censer, not his though!)
The hill censer was given to Cullo by Hísime. Where she got it is not discussed, but it was the most beautiful thing she could find in her possession at the time. It is conical in shape and represents the hills or mountains. All around the "mountain" are people and animals climbing up the mountain, and on its sides are delicate-looking Peacock Butterflies and trailers of incense floating on the breeze. It symbolizes a great reverence Hísime felt on that day and continues to feel in his presence. To say the censer has her in its grasp would be accurate. With this artifact Cullo has obtained abilities that are atypical for Fae, including butterfly survival techniques, and a resistance to fire. The nature of his abilities is generally of the mind and mind altering techniques, and of flight techniques.
A journal Cullo keeps up his sleeve at all times just in case he has time or need of it, which is surprisingly frequent. He uses it to jot down notes and lists. Whatever else is in there is his secret, of course. This journal is one of several that now line a shelf in his room in one leather-bound stack.
One day Cullo brought home a photo album. Hísime gave him a camera. He has taken numerous pictures of himself with her, as well as flora, fauna, and his siblings. He keeps it to himself, along with his stack of past journals. He sets it underneath the journals because of its size in relation to them.

As the eldest child, he enjoys the luxury of his own bedroom. It has a bed and desk, with enough floor space to do stretches and prayers. Hisime used to give him a bad time about the worship, but his retort was that she should be glad he didn't try to convert her. That shut her up, anyway.
Sometimes Firnriel sneaks into bed with him at night when she has had a nightmare. The bed is barely large enough to support them both but the heat and extra body is kind of nice to snuggle up against.
The main room is where Hisime brings her ideas for her latest scam. She spends a great deal of time working out details before running them by Cullo. He may be a child but he is a crafty one and he can spot logic errors with little trouble.
