 ~Samiel smirks as he sneaks away from his father. Syn was nice of enough and kind to him. However sometimes he just needed a break from his father. Overprotective didn't cut it to explain Syn's need to keep him safe. Syn was a great father otherwise but sometimes he needed to stop and realize that Samiel was safe. So from time to time Sam would sneak away and head to the garden on his own. The garden was a small meadow near where his father and he lived there was not a lot of others that knew where this place was.~
~ once there he smirks and slowly starts to eat the blackberries around him and smirks.~

 When Syn had mentioned looking after the basket with him, Ku was certainly willing to help but he really didn't need much from her. The stallion was a great father figure so she let him do all the rearing while remaining nearby should she ever be needed. It never hurt to have another set of eyes looking after a very excitable foal like Samiel could be right?
Kuwanyauma did her best to ensure she was always within the area since the newest game the young one liked to play was sneak away from Syn. To some extent she didn't really blame the foal; Syn could be a bit hovering after his son. However, she understood why he was such a protective father, given all he had shared with his own history. The mare could not bring herself at any point to interject to how he handled Samiel. Who was she to judge his ways? She was no mother that was for sure. She felt more like a guardian angel who watched from afar. Long ago she had learned the lesson: Unless you can do better, keep your opinions to yourself.
This didn't deter her from staying along the trees near the home of Syn and Samiel. Of course today it paid off: there came a small figure slipping free to the garden. She sighed a little. So Syn was at it again was he? Her golden gaze followed after the foal and once he was settled eating in the garden did she slowly approach, wings extended behind her. "You know your father will worry with you being out here without him." She offered a gentle smile to the young one.WC: 280nekolulu thankies for starting!!! <3

~Samiel almost jumps out of his skin at the sound of familiar voice he looks around and spots Ku.~ " hello there miss Ku, yeah I know but I needed a break from him. he is being a little overprotective this morning." ~He smiles sweet at he and ofters one of the berries to her as bribe. He watches her and gets ready to run. He knew that he couldn't get away for long but half of him needed to try and see how far he could get. Besides his father would worry and would come looking for him soon.~

 Being offered a bribe of berries brought an amused laughter as she bowed her head in gratitude for the gesture but did not partake. The mare stopped in her tracks and raised her head to look in the direction she assumed Syn was in. "Well he does care for your safety a great deal, Samiel." Her golden gaze shifted back to the young one and a sweet smile was given. "A break for the both of you isn't necessarily a bad thing. Would you mind some company?" The least she could do for Syn was to keep an eye on the little one and make sure he kept out of trouble... somehow. Her wings folded against her back. "So a little freedom in exchange for some of my company. Do we have an agreement?" The mare was understanding of the need to discover one's own way in life; after all it was that urge that brought her to these lands to begin with. However, she would fill in for Syn and be his eyes over the little one if need be and from the sound of it, the time apart would do both males some good.WC: 196

~Samiel looks her and nods. It was easier to accept her company then trying to get away. He smiles and nods~ " Yes, company would be nice." ~Samiel smiles at her and flips his wings~ " So what would you like to do. I was thinking of trying to fly again, but I need a bigger space for that, would you like to teach me?" ~ he watches her again and steps away from the berries and closer to her, he was starting to like this mare and he could see why his father liked her too.~

Kuwanyauma flashed a bright smile to Samiel. The young foal seemed to be a bright one. There was so much potential she saw in him even at this age but she expected nothing less from one raised by Syn. "I would be happy to try and teach you. Let's find a nice clearing shall we?" The blue hued soq turned from the berry bushes and began to wander toward what she thought was the direction of the closest meadow nearby. Her head turned slightly as a golden stare shot over to Syn's home in concern. Would he be mad that she just took Samiel away without a word? Of course this occurred to her after she had already given her word to the foal. Oh well, what's done is done.
Her gaze moved back to Sam to ensure he was coming along with her. "I believe your father has the same type of wings that you do while I do not. I will still do my best to try and help you gain flight because there is no better feeling in the world than the freedom of the skies." There was a dreamy sigh at the end of her words. Ku truly believed all she said. Attention restored upon Samiel. "Has your father taken you out before for lessons?"WC: 219

~Samiel smiles at her~ " Yes a clearing would be good. We could head for the meadow that is close by." ~he flexes his wings and smiles at her again. Looking around the garden he was glad that his father had a friend like her because. His father seemed loney. He had yet to meet his father's mate his father told him that she was away and would be soon. He shakes his head it was sad to him that his father's mate was never around. But at least his father had Ku to talk to and they were good friends.~
~ He listens to her talk about flying it sounded so great~ " I bet you are a great teacher." ~He watches Ku~ " yes he does but he said that we must take somethings slow and with time. The first time he did I almost ended up in a tree. The second time I ended up in the lake." ~he blushes~

A graceful nod of her head was given to the young stallion at his suggestion. "The meadow is a very nice place." It was the first place she had ever been to all thanks to Syn. She owed a great deal to her friend and his warm welcomes to the land. It was thanks to him that she felt comfortable in her stride to the meadow and that she could wander alone. While he was always kind and smiling to her, Ku could tell from how Samiel was being raised how alone the stallion probably felt. It wasn't much but at least she could do this for him and help him.
"Well you get to tell me how I do as a teacher. You are my very first student." She beamed to Samiel before flicking her tail as they arrived at the destined clearing. "Consider me your fairy godmother. Its okay to make mistakes. This is how we learn. When I was learning how to fly as a foal, I can't begin to tell you all the places I ended up and not one was close to the ground." She giggled a bit in fond recollection of her parents apologizing to fellow herd members for their daughter's close encounter.
"Now Samiel, lets see how strong you flap your wings." She couldn't assist him in flight if she didn't fully understand how his wings worked. This required her to observe him first.

] ~Samiel smiles brightly at her .~ " really?" ~ He liked the through that he would be her first student. Arriving at the meadow he watches the trees for wind and looks around for a minute.~ " awe I bet you are a great flyer now Ku." ~He looks at her wings they were different from his own but unique in their own way. He looks at her face~ " so you grant me wishes? My father told me a story about fairy godmothers and said that they grant wishes."
~ Samiel smirks and flaps his wings and lifts up off the ground a litle. He slowly descends and looks at her with a smile. He already liked the feel of his wings lifting his body. ~

Kuwanyauma shook her head with a smile. "I hardly consider myself to be a 'great' flyer but I get where I need to be. I flew all the way to these lands from my home after all." Her smile was warm but it hid away all the thoughts of how long it took for the mare to actually reach this place. She wouldn't ever speak of it to Samiel though. She wanted to encourage him and somehow the tale of all the tiring work to get to this place seemed to be more of a story for another time, should it ever come up. That was doubtful.
Her ears perked up at his question and she held back an amused giggle. She spoke with such a gentle kindness, "I will do my best to grant whatever wish I can for you Samiel, but only if its something that I can do and it wont harm anyone, including you." She gave him a wink before unfurling her wings and bowing to the young foal. "If you do all that, then all you need to do is wish it and it will come true." She laughed a bit before standing upright again to take her role more seriously. While it was always fun to dream, there was a job she had to do!
Kuwanyauma's eyes lit up in happiness to see he was already able to gain lift. This might be easy enough! As he came to rest she pawed at the ground a bit. "Very good! So the next thing you need to learn is how to propel yourself through the air. Think of it like you are grabbing at the air with your wings and pulling yourself through the skies. First we get a walking or running start.." She turned from Samiel and began to trot with her wings stretched out. "Then a nice strong flap like you did before, but pushing yourself forward while jumping." She lept into the air and her wings pushed forward bringing her up and into the skies. She twisted her form back to fly back towards the foal, her wings flapping to keep her in the skies. "Your turn to try. You can do this Samiel!"WC: 372

~He smiles again at her. ~[ " the only wish i have is for you and my daddy to be happy. Your so cool Ku! I`m glad I have someone too talk to and visit with. Do you have any wishes?" ~ he relaxes his body and looks around. He liked the meadow because it was great that he could meet oters here~
~Samiel watches Ku. Then trys it him self he moves away from her and runs flaping his wings hard. He jumps into the air. His wings catch the air as he flys. He flaps towards her and smiles~ " thanks Ku. Would you like to fly with me for a bit?" ~ he smiles and enjoys the feeling of flying~

Kuwanyauma blinked a little at the foal's request. She felt a bit powerless since she couldn't ensure the happiness of another right? Right? All she could do was be Syn's friend and listen to him whenever he needed a shoulder to rest on. Nonetheless, she wouldn't say anything to Samiel about this. The foal had enough to worry about without her bursting his bubble of hopes and dreams. Instead she smiled warmly and couldn't hold back the laughter at his comment calling her cool. That was not the typical description she received! Leave it to foals to come up with interesting titles.
Golden eyes grew wide as she watched and she let out a whinny of sheer delight. "Samiel great job!" Color this mare impressed three times over! He picked it up so quickly and took to flying like a fish in water and her wings flapped with all her might, sending the mare twirling higher into the skies. While he may not be her own foal, she couldn't help but to feel pride well within her. Ku admired the cleverness and the clear smarts he demonstrated for gaining new skills. When he joined her in the air, Kuwanyauma gave a nod and soared off to fly over the trees. "Come see the forest from over here Samiel!" she called over her shoulder to him. "You know you really don't need to thank me. You did this all on your own! I am so proud of you Samiel!"WC: 248
