Reinerite was learning to fit Negaverse work into her daily activities, because being new - well okay new-ish - didn't make her any less determined to do a good job.
And whilst it meant that she had started to pull some very late nights - because she was equally determined not to compromise on her classwork or her grades - she was sure she could handle it.
It had been a quiet night so far however to the point where Reinerite had decided that she would go for perhaps another half hour before heading back to the dorms and finish up on the last bits of her classwork.
Because perhaps tonight would be one of those rare things - an early night.Orangeish Sherbert Apologies for the delay in getting this up Orange, RL suddenly went crazy. Lmk if this needs tweaking and I will get on it asap

Sailor Kari was really starting to get comfortable in going out and being a magical wonder. Well, she was getting more comfortable with avoiding the piles and piles of work that had to be done for school…becoming a nurse was a little harder than she had anticipated, and she felt that she was almost at a roadblock, wither she was unwilling or just…losing interest.
She hoped that she wasn’t losing interest…she had wanted this path for herself for years and years…
But, things could change. Things could start going differently, or she could start taking pride in her work again…or she could just figure out another path for her life…but that seemed far easier said than done.
There was the feeling of someone from the Negaverse nearby, and Kari stiffened, her unwillingness to fight battling with her need to stop the agents of chaos…and finally her need to stop won out, and she swiftly made her way towards the feeling.
Something was different tonight. She was ready to fight. Ready to defend…ready to do something and not just be a stupid little wallflower. “Hey! What do you think you’re doing there?” The senshi didn’t see anyone else around…but that didn’t mean that there wasn’t a poor civilian somewhere in the darkness…right?

She had managed to find a potential candidate for energy draining donator in the form of a man who had clearly had far too much to drink.
Reinerite's noise wrinkled a little at the stench of alcohol emanating from the old drunk as she laid a gloved hand on his arm and started to drain.
However whilst she had come to learn people like this made great draining donators, it didn't make Reinerite particularly like doing this particular task.
It wasn't because of the energy draining as as it happened the blue-haired Lieutenant didn't have any real problem taking energy from waste of spaces - and to her the drunk clearly fell into that category...
The stench however was something that she could definitely have done without, because god did this man stink.
A voice cut through her thoughts, Reinerite's hand stilling as she palmed the small orb of her efforts, grey moving to scan her surroundings even as she carefully tucked the energy orb into her sleeve before finally spotting the other woman.
"None of your business" she replied cooly as she picked up on something almost sickly sweet, her mind trying to puzzle it over even as she watched the source of the voice that had called out to her.

Her lavender eyes finally were able to see that there were in fact two shapes in the darkness…some drunken fool who might not even manage to wake up the next morning with the hangover that would no doubt be plaguing him…not if he was drained of all his energy. Kari scoffed. “You’re hurting people. It’s my job to save the innocent people from awful monsters like you!”
Huh. She really was feeling brave tonight, wasn’t she? Brave…or really foolish…or both. Why not both?
“Loyalty Hurts!” Kari pointed her hand to the lieutenant and called her attack…she wasn’t messing around. Pulling out her only means of defense right off the bat?
Maybe she was just…coming down with a cold or something. “Leave him alone.”litian Sailor Scout Attack: Loyalty Hurts Sailor Kari holds out a hand towards an opponent and says the name of her attack, giving the opponent thirty seconds of pain. There is not any physical sign of it, and when the thirty seconds is up there are no lasting effects, but the level of pain that the opponent feels depends on his or her loyalty to chaos, the higher the loyalty, the more pain they feel. Can be used once per battle, on one opponent within a ten foot radius.

Reinerite felt her brows lifting slightly at the holier than thou words being directed in her direction, before grey eyes shifted briefly for a moment to the waste of space that she had been making useful.
The old man had been falling down drunk when she found him and so it wasn't as if he was going to miss a little bit of energy and that bit of energy would be put to much greater purpose - although Reinerite wasn't quite sure what said purpose was.
Her grey eyes narrowed as they shifted back towards the woman, "Not that it's any of your business but he's hardly..."
That was all that Reinerite managed to get out however as the other woman pointed her hand out towards and shouted out something about loyalty hurting, because she found herself gritting her teeth at an inexplicable but sudden feeling of pain.
It wasn't the worst pain that she had experience but it was painful enough to be distracting and for those few moments her attention was not on the woman however finally the pain started to ease and fade and Reinerite once again turned narrowed eyes on the woman.
"Did you just do that?" her cool voice was very much unhappy as she summoned her snow globe to hand.

There was actually a somewhat confident smirk on the senshi’s face and she folded her arms over her chest defiantly. “Yes. Yes it was. I did it, and that’s only a small taste of what I can do, so I suggest you run along home little Nega girl, run along home and don’t hurt anyone else tonight.”
A taste of what she could do? No. She had given the whole feast right at the beginning of the meal…but hopefully her bluff would not be called.
The other girl suddenly had a…a snow globe? Music box maybe? She had several of those at home and used to need at least one playing in order to fall asleep…what sort of trick was this going to be? Magic that made her fall asleep? Perhaps a melody that drained her energy? Because clearly that’s what people in the Negaverse did…
Kari’s eyes narrowed and she scoffed, still trying to seem like the big dog in the park. “Is that supposed to frighten me? A toy?”

"I'm really not sure why you keep going on about me hurting people" annoyance crept into Reinerite's voice "Especially as the only person going about and trying to hurt people is you."
And that was on top of being generally annoying and sticking her nose unwanted into people's business.
"But I don't appreciate it when people try to hurt me." Her hand tightened on her snow globe "And I'm not about to - as you put it - run along home."
She was throwing the snow globe in the direction of the other woman as she spoke, although Reinerite wasn't about to wait and see if the thing would hit, instead balling a gloved hand into a fist as she dashed in the direction of the other woman...
And whilst the other had mentioned that the whatever it was she had done before was just a small taste, Reinerite was hoping that whatever the white uniformed annoyance tried to dish up in return wouldn't be tooo bad.

Well…at least the girl had dropped the drunk idiot…
Kari almost gave a yelp as the snowglobe made its way towards her face, though she managed to control it to a small squeak of surprise. She was quite pleased that she managed to dodge the object, but when she went to say something, a fist was flying towards her face, and sadly she wasn’t quite fast enough to dodge that.
She did however, manage to turn her head so the fist didn’t hit her nose, just her cheek. Her hands flew up and flailed uselessly, trying to swipe at the bluenette.
“Argh!”
Well…maybe she could still pass off that she had more tricks up her sleeve…maybe she’d hit the lieutenant…that was a trick, right?
…It seemed like her charade was up.

There was something almost satisfying about her fist colliding with skin - even if doing so meant that she had left herself open to retaliation.
It came in the form of flailing lashing out, a lucky hit - well at least Reinerite saw it as lucky - landing.
And whilst as Ashley she probably wouldn't have tried to descend to this...
That was kind of the point - like this she was Reinerite and not Ashley.
And whilst she couldn't hide the wince from the woman's 'lucky' hit, it didn't stop Reinerite from demonstrating her continued annoyance by once again trying to swing out at her.

“Ack…no! Stop it. Stop hitting me! Just get lost and leave people alone!” Kari managed to get her face out of the way of Reinerite’s fist, but her shoulder took the blow this time and she was growing quite frustrated. “You’re evil! You in the Negaverse are all evil and awful and you should just be ashamed of yourselves!”
Her confidence was falling quickly and a feeling of panic was beginning to set in.
Maybe she was going to be the one to run on home…but she didn’t want to…so of course, what to do when someone was punching you and all you felt was panic…
Pull their hair.
Luckily, the lieutenant had beautiful bright blue hair that was right there…it was easy to take a handful and yank. And she did yank.

"You're the one that started this" Reinerite said coldly. "You could have just minded your own business - but you have to poke in with... With whatever that thing was that you did."
And Reinerite wasn't one to just let things sit - she was fully prepared to dish out what she saw as a comparable amount of pain back.
She wasn't expecting the woman to reach out to grab for her curls, pain exploding in her scalp as the other savagely yanked and whilst she did try to stomp down on the other's foot, it was clear that she was visibly distracted.

Good! Again she was on the offensive and then...ow! Pain lanced through her foot as a shoe came down hard atop it. All right. That was it. The straw that broke the camel’s back. She was tired of this fight, and she was in all honesty...tired of trying to act the hero too...all it got her was taunts and pain.
Maybe she really wasn't meant to be a hero...maybe there had been a big mistake when she got awakened and somehow the wrong power got given to her when she was meant to have none at all...
Sailor Kari let go of the hair in her grasp and placed her hands on the lieutenant she was coming to blows with and gave her as hard of as shove as she could muster.
Enough was enough...and she had had enough.

Any satisfaction that Reinerite might have felt as her booted foot connected with the woman was lost as she suddenly felt herself off balance.
Had the other..?
Had the other just shoved her?
The thought flitted through her mind even as she stumbled backwards from the woman, her arms flailing ungraciously as she fought to keep her balance and failed as she took an ungainful tumble.
It was perhaps an opportunity for the other, although whether that was opportunity for flight or for further fight was in the other woman's court.Orangeish Sherbert have a quick tagback <3 should we move towards a wrap?

It was as though fate really was with her when the lieutenant fell backwards. Kari turned to make a run for it, though paused and looked back at the other girl. “…Sorry. I hope you’re not hurt…”
The words were heartfelt, even though right after speaking them, the senshi took off at full speed, wanting to get out of there.
She wasn’t a fighter! Fighting was so hard and…it made her feel…just…bad. By the time Gale got back to her dorm, she flopped face first into her bed, hugging her pillow. So much for being a hero. She wasn’t a hero…she was just a big awful bully.

The other woman's words were not appreciated - particularly because - as far as Reinerite was concerned - the whole thing was her fault anyway.
She could hear footsteps getting further and further away and by the time that she had regained her feet the woman was already out of sight and Reinerite wasn't sure if it was really worth trying to follow after.
And so instead she turned with a sigh - because she still had her quota to work on...
Although because of the annoying woman's interference it was going to make her evening that much longer.
Reinerite summoned her snowglobe back to her hand before turning and starting to walk in the opposite direction.
Whilst she wasn't really hurt, she was also not about to forget this and if she and the other ever crossed paths again then she was totally going to make the other woman sorry.
