A swanky booth stands in front of you, filled with glitz, glamour and the promise of... Of! Merchandising, very likely. Starlight Talent Agency is open for business and fabulous new recruits. Singers, dancers, actors and entertainers of all kinds are welcome to converse with the one and only Aandes LaMode - a very prominent producer, mover and shaker in his hometown of Four Fronds. Out of all of his exploits, including creating the Four Fronds Relief Coalition, the creation of his talent agency was his most daring and intriguing action yet. In no time, one Odette Cygnet not only rose to fame as a rebel, but as a redeemed sinner and now prominent socialite in the spheres of Four Fronds. She may not have been a hivehold name just yet, but gossip rags and local entertainment companies had taken notice.

And if Odette was on the rise, the booth sure shows it! In addition to inquiries concerning talent management, the booth largely serves as an information booth concerning what it considers to be Alternia's new "IT" girl. Posters and merchandise showcasing the redblood are available for sale - and a line of perfume and even lipstick in multiple shades of red are available with a theme of empowering lowbloods to achieve their dreams. Inspirational writings and quotes saturate the booth, telling a sparkling tale of the rebel-turned-star. Aandes sits with an ice-filled water bottle behind the booth, looking as sharp as ever. Next to the booth is a fold-up chair, ready for an appearance by the one and only Odette Cygnet.

Merchandise

You're welcome to purchase these items available at the booth! They run a bit expensive because they are official Odette Cygnet merchandise.

The Life of a Star: Odette Cygnet's Fall from Grace and Rise to Fame - The Game!

To play this exciting boardgame styled informational event, trolls will spin a numbered spinner and move the appropriate number on the board. Once you get to the end, you win! But watch out, it may be a rocky road! If you land on a space with an arrow, you must follow that arrow to the space indicated.

Roll 1D4 and move the number of tiles you rolled! You can do this twice per day (So you are welcome to roll 2D4, just make sure you make your moves separately so as to not miss an arrow tile). When you land on a numbered tile, you can check the results below to learn more about Odette's glorious life from her beginnings to where she is now! You remain in the same place you left off each day, so you can progress through the entirety of the game if you're lucky! Winners will get a free photo op with Odette herself!! If you beat the game you're welcome to play again.

Additionally, each day the three trolls with the best gain in movement along the map will receive a ticket! If there is a tie, the ticket(s) will be raffled off among the top trolls. Good luck!

Game Board Number Results:
Start: You’re a twinkle in the mother grub’s eye!
1 You are born!! Congratulations, little grub! The slurry has gifted you with beautiful red blood and a cute little face!
2 The wiggler trials are incredibly challenging, but you manage to emerge in one piece.
3 You are chosen by a beautiful creature to be their charge: your lusus is a lovely, strong swan who sweeps you out of the caverns!
4 Settling into the city seems a wonderful choice. You and your mother settle into a hivestem block in New Hemisect.
5 Growing up, your elegant mother teaches you about dance!
6 You scrape together an allowance through working hard and helping to clean other blocks in the hivestem and invest in a dance uniform.
7 You and your lusus search for caste appropriate dance companies in the city, fostering a newfound power of aerokinesis.
8 A fire breaks out in your hivestem – caused by a lone arsonist who perishes in the fire, this leaves you hiveless.
9 Your lusus suffers severe wounds from saving you from the fire – you are now responsible for your own care and the care of your lusus.
10 Working hard leads you to settle in the basement block of a hotelstem in the city.
11 Trying to support yourself tirelessly while living in squalor leads to constant illness.
12 You are unable to attend caste appropriate dance auditions due to your sickness, but dance in the streets for money and to keep your dream alive.
13 Always a vigilant worker, you gain extra funds from reporting crime and recycling on the streets.
14 During your time on the streets, you run into a charismatic yellowbloow – Vremea Everai, who is impressed by your unique powers and appearance.
15 Vremea, a sordid book peddler with rebel tendencies, befriends you with her kindly nature and offers you stability, funds and a relief from your lusus.
16 Your new yellowblood acquaintance takes you to her abode in Chittentown and woos you with promises of a better life under a mysterious organization.
17 Coming back to your home in New Hemisect, you find your lusus incredibly ill. You vow to make a better life for your family and yourself, and achieve your dreams.
18 Trips to the lower reaches of Chittentown with Vremea lead to slips into entrance into questionable dives, smoky halls and treasonous thoughts.
19 All too late you are inducted into a rebel organization, with the goal of interfering with construction on Old Hemisect.
20 You are overwhelmed, but you stay by Vremea’s side, knowing her as your only friend, confidante and feeling deep reciprocated pity.
21 During the struggle, your lusus is tragically killed in the crossfire by a duty-bound royalist.
22 Vremea convinces you in your time of vulnerability and grief that the royalists are the cause of your mother’s demise.
23 You stay with your friend, soon becoming closer under her constant control and watch as she takes you into her hive.
24 You follow the dealings of these rebels and passionately contribute to the cause, losing yourself and your passions in your zealotry.
25 In a controversial moment of great fortune, Regina’s command to finally destroy the dangerous rebel cause catches you and your rebel companions off guard.
26 You flee from the ambush – in order to save herself, Vremea betrays you and leaves you behind.
27 You barely escape with your life.
28 Now marked, lost, with no one but yourself, you seek help at Civisect’s Rehabilitation Center.
29 It is a slow process, but in doing physical therapy you are able to begin dancing again as well as you can fly.
30 You volunteer at Alternian Charity Events as an entertainer, helping to rebuild Civisect and Four Fronds with your visage.
31 You begin to reform yourself under the care of Dr. Resmem, giving the Alternian Military ample information concerning the rebellion.
32 Your story is told during your interviews, in which you pump-wrenchingly renounce your past ways
33 Upon your release from the Rehabilitation Center, you seek opportunities to make your late lusus proud and better Alternia
34 You audition everywhere, earning a dance role amongst a company and allying yourself with Starlight to help spread awareness about your causes
35 Breaking into the greater fashion and entertainment stage, you seek a position on the grubtube.
36 You emerge as an inimitable icon through your struggles.
Finish: Congratulations! You’ve won!

The glitz and glam of this booth quickly enraptured the simple farm troll. Fellah stepped up, taking in all the flashy merchandise and advertising before noticing a sharply dressed greenblood behind the counter. "Well howdy, sure looks like ya'll put a lot of time into your booth," he complimented, with a charming country smile.
Eyes landing on the board game, Fellah decided to give it a whirl and read up on Odette.

[[AHG, it looks like I accidentally hit d6 instead of d4. So I suppose just disregard my roll.]]

"Oh. My. Gog." On his way to see Amonee's booth, Nucleo had been trying to focus on coming up with a creative way to cover up the fact he didn't know how to sew (since he had insider knowledge that this was a doll dress up challenge) when suddenly he found himself face to face with a giant Odette shrine. It was marvelous! Stunned, he stood speechless for a good minute just to take it all in.

And then immediately it was all about the merchandise! Checking out the cool board game, Nucleo flicked the spinner and jumped in on the game! He didn't get too far but didn't mind. It allowed him to admire the stall a little longer.

      Odette Cygnet.

Vremea's pump biscuit beat with every step she took to approach the booth, feeling awkward and not in her own skin the moment she arrived. The red tinted booth filled with ribbons and inspirational photos of her morail made the yellowblood behind the facade's eyes get watery, something that made her thankful for wearing her black tinted glasses to hide her woe. She quickly allowed herself to inhale and exhale carefully, pacing herself so as to not get so emotional to blow her cover. She was Bellen Arecae, an admirer of the redblood-- She was a survivor of the rebellion and the very embodiment of what the Rehab center sought to do-- To help and show them the errors of every troll thinking about becoming a rebel. Bellen smiled.

Quickly approaching the booth, Bellen's eyes lingered on Aandes for a moment, keeping her composure before glazing upon the items offered on the table. She'd get to those later-- Now, she was curious about this interesting life story the redblood had. Flicking the spinner, Bellen watched as it landed upon the number 4-- She quickly read the information, sliding a hand to her mouth and stiffing a chuckle. It was a little strange to read about the information that was supposedly "right" without double-thinking. She had lived in New Hemisect. In a basement, Vremea remembered, then rolled again, landing on 7. Her eyes crinkled at the corners, vividly remembering the actual way Odette discovered her powers-- By saving their team. She inhaled, exhaled dreamily, then smiled. Marked her place, because hey, no one was a bigger fan of Odette Cygnet than her supposedly backstabbing morail. She'd be back.

Eostre saw a familiar face on this booth, and had to stop by. But when she read the information about the up-and-coming star, Alternia's new darling... Surely this couldn't all be true? She hadn't ever gotten particularly close with Odette, though she tried... A rebel? She rolled her eyes. Even if she was one, a lot of this seemed purely fabricated, or at the very least dramatically exaggerated.

Still, she noted the information. The game was cute enough, and her good friend Aandes ran the booth! Her first roll seemed to get her pretty far in the little game. Eostre also decided to pick up some merchandise while she was here. Some perfume, a signed headshot... Too bad the lipstick would totally clash.

Hemera had to admit she was not particularly concerned about what this booth sold, no, not really. She just thought the set up was gorgeous. The streamers, the posters, the curtains. It was lovely, all lovely, and outshined most of the other booths there. Including her own, by a landslide. But if she were to host another booth, the tealblood had inspiration.

Perusing, she saw that this booth was certainly headlined by a particular troll. One Odette Cygnet. Someone she didn't know a thing about, but seemed important if there was merchandise and all. Mera decided to take a closer look. She played along to get her information. First, a 4. She read up on some biographical information about moving to New Hemisect. Interesting.

Mera rolled again. With the lowest result, she moved up to the next place on the board. Ah, so this troll learned about dancing? How elegant!

She stepped back in time to notice who was sitting behind the booth. Mera blinked in surprise. She recognized the troll from a long time ago. But would he her? "Ahh. Good evening. Aandes, isn't it? Do you recall helping any small tealbloods into a fashion show?" Maybe that would be a decent enough opening without beating around the memory bush.

Rasali, or more accurately Peikoe Dubrow, was taking up space at the back of Aandes booth. She'd sorted through the merchandise prior to helping lay it all out (which was then rearranged into a more appealing display by Aandes). She was technically free to go explore Bloodfest. It wasn't like she was a wanted criminal or anything. She technically should have been getting her face out there in the public eye so it wouldn't look like Peikoe had just appeared from thin air the second Aandes was in the spotlight. Rasali couldn't help but feel weird, though. Her fake horns were heavy and her hair was starchy and by the Mothergrub this padded heft satchel was ridiculous. She'd be sulkier if she didn't look so damn hot.

Rasali took a sharp breath in through her nose and out through her mouth. Standing up from her folding chair, she moved to the front of the booth. There. Now she was outside. Look out, Alternia, Peikoe Dubrow was on the prowl.

Rasali waffled a little while longer in front of the safety of Aandes' booth. She played a round of the game he'd set up, smiling fondly at the idea of a tiny Odette with a fluffy lusus.

Aandes' booth was nothing short of impressive. Humble pride was hardly the word for her emotions. She was dumbfounded that all of this could be happening for her. There were people at the booth for her, merchandise with her own face on it, and the biggest perk for attending the booth was just her presence?

Her blood pusher swelled. It would have been apparent in her blush, had the cold not already been bringing ample color to her cheeks. After enjoying the moment and taking everything in, Odette made a quick adjustment to her hair and clothes, making sure she was looking perfect for her appearance.

She approached the booth, walking as gracefully as the snow would allow. "Hello everyone!" She greeted with a bright, cheerful smile and an excited but delicate wave. After taking a moment to please the crowd, she walked over to greet Aandes himself.

She cusped the greenblood's hand with both of hers. "It's so beautiful, Aandes. I really can't believe it. You're amazing," she complimented, hands shaking as she tried to hold back the tears in her eyes.

“Ah! Dear…” Aandes’ eyes glistened and he stood up from his chair behind the booth to give Odette a kiss on her rosy cheeks. “Thank you. It’s a pleasure, really. You’re the star!”

He tried to steady her hands with his, feeling her emotion. Aandes’ gaze was level. “Are you ready for your fans?” And by that, he meant – are you ready for this? Can you handle it? You’re in the eye of the public now, my dear. The real test begins now.

Aandes released himself from her grip to gesture to her chair. “You’re welcome to sit over there or with my behind the booth whenever you’d like. I’ve also set up a little rest area in the back. It’s just a curtain and a water cooler, really, but it’ll do if you need a break.” He smiled and gave her a nod of affirmation.

From somewhere in the crowd, a passerby called out. "IT'S ODETTE! IT'S ODETTE CYGNET!"

He'd sort of noticed the booth when everyone was still setting up earlier. But now, to see it in its complete splendor... Amonee was completely charmed and captivated! He and Nucleo had just discovered Odette on the television lately and couldn't get enough of the redblood's beauty and story. How exciting to see a game about her too!?!

And there she was. He grabbed Nucleo's hand for support. She was right there, in person! This was the closest he'd ever gotten to someone famous besides that one night he saw a well known food critic choke and yell in a restaurant he'd visited. But that was another story. And not nearly as fun.

"Do you think she'll give autographs?" He whispered to his friend, buzzing with energy. He moved a piece on the board for appearances but really, who was paying attention to the game when the star was there herself?

Seeing Odette at the booth was something Vremea could handle, surprisingly. On the second day of this booth, it took all of Bellen's willpower to hold in her excitement, and soon after slid over to visit the booth once more. She flicked the spinner once more and offered a gentle smile to Aandes as she moved her marker and read the information-- Aha, there it was, living in the basement! A small surge of smugness at the knowledge of this surged through her, and while it was a terrible time in her morails life, Vremea couldn't help but sigh in nostalgia. Another flick, and Bellen had to hold in a small chuckle at the thought of Odette being so vigilant for the crown-- Aandes sure did quite well in covering up the story.

Today she decided to buy a signed photograph. She'd try to meet her another day, maybe when she felt a little more mentally prepared. Offering the beetles to Aandes, she didn't mind splurging for something as great as this. Maybe she'd buy a shirt-- To wear in her hive, or something. The perfume smelled rather good!
