Kylar approached the port city of Darnys from the sky, his silhouette outlined against the bright midday sun. He looked out over the city taking in the sights before slowly descending so that he could navigate the streets of the city without drawing attention. Several minutes passed as Kylar made sure he didn't have a tail, his direction changing towards some of the mid tier hotels. Footsteps hastened as Kage became anxious, chattering in his head. "You're late. We were supposed to be back yesterday, what if she's gone. What if something happened. I'll never forgive you if anything happened to her because of you delaying me." Kylar spoke out loud to Kage, "Ohh shut it. If it wasn't for my visit to Iss-Banor you wouldn't have had enough for that house. She doesn't have anywhere else to go anyways, she'll be waiting for us to get back." the bickering continued one sided with Kage speaking to Kylarm but as thery approached the crowded streets of the port town Kage quickly became quiet knowing that Kylar needed to be alert in case of danger as he would have been.

He passed strangers on the street silently on the way to the Hotel Hideaway, a conveniently named lovers resort that had been chosen for it's ironic naming and secrecy regarding guests. It was a romantic getaway that didn't ask questions and most people kept to themselves making it the perfect place to keep Andy out of sight without question for a short period of time. He approached the front desk smiling at the attendant before stepping past the front lobby towards the guest elevators. He took the lift up towards the room he had reserved with Andy and opened the door. He stepped in and announced himself to avoid injury, the flirty way Kage had surprised her no longer acceptable given their situation. "Andy, I'm back."

Andy had spent most of the day either pacing the room, or laying upside down on the bed with an annoyed look on her face as she stared at the mirror across the room from the bed. The things Blaise told her had rattled her to the core. How could she be so different now. What changed? Surely losing her memories couldn't have made her such a drastically different person. She sighed angrily. Eventually she found herself sitting at the desk in the room, trying yet again to write a song on the complimentary notepad provided by the hotel. There were already crumpled up sheets of paper across the desk now. Andy was getting mad, she never seemed to have a problem coming up with song lyrics before. They would just surface in her mind and she could even just sing them out of nowhere for the first time like it was something she'd known all her life. Letting out a frustrated yell to herself, she dragged the chair to the mirror and sat in front of it, leaning forward as she placed a balled up hand to her mouth, biting down on her knuckle as she stared in intense frustration at herself. It went on like that for at least maybe an hour before the door unlocked and opened, sitting up in surprise, she whipped her vision to the door. Suddenly remembering that Kylar was supposed to be back a day ago. Coming to a stand quickly she moved to him. "Kylar... I was really worried something had happened to you.. Are you okay?" she spoke softly, reaching a hand to touch his arm lightly, looking with concern at his face. It had been a while since she saw him, doubt slowly fading away as she began to smile and then hugged him abruptly without warning. "..welcome back."

Kylar wrapped his arm around Andy as she hugged him, squeezing lightly. He looked down slightly gazing into her eyes as he spoke, "Sorry I'm late. I got held up by Mara while I was out. I've got good news though, I found us a place to live." He watched her for a moment curious to how she would react to that news as he held onto the rest of the information. It's not that he didn't want to tell her, but that how she asked would be a good way to gauge her reaction to the news. "Kiss her you idiot! We haven't seen her in a long time." Kage ever present made himself known shouting at Kylar. He got a look of annoyance on his face for a brief moment before leaning in to kiss Andy. After a moment he pulled away looking at her once more as he asked, "How was your week, was the hotel accommodating?"

Kylar released Andy and moved over to the bed removing his suit jacket, the tears in the fabric easily visible when not worn on the body. He removed a hanger from the closet and hung up the jacket. Moving across the room, he took a seat in the room and looked back to Andy. "How do you feel about spending another night here before we head to our new home?" Kylar asked with a grin, perhaps this would be enough to shut up Kage for a while. It was unlikely, but either way it would be relaxing.

Her expression softened from concern to something of relief within a gentle smile. One that quickly faded as the mention of Mara brought back the look of worry in full force. "Mara?? Does she know where we are?...... Did she hurt you?!" she looked like she was about to get angry, her hands tensing into fists but then the subject changed once again, to a place to live. She blinked in a wave of curiosity as the rest of her emotions drained again only leaving one of longing. "..You did?.." she asked passively, she had more questions but refrained. It was good enough without further questioning. A place they could go that they could call their own and not worry about being hunted, at least she had hoped as much. The thought of her former self tugged at the back of her mind. While she didn't want to fight anymore, it still perplexed her that she used to want and even invite fighting it seemed. A flicker of a frown before she shook her head and smiled again. "That's great!" she spoke in a jovial manner, showing her gratefulness for such a situation. He leaned to kiss her and she invited it, opening her eyes as he pulled away, a smile still on her face. "My week was fine, though I'm sure the hotel has run out of notepads with how much I had been trying to write." she motioned her eyes toward the desk then closed her eyes and sighed. "Nothing comes to mind lately..." she commented offhandedly then opened her eyes to watch Kylar move to the bed, her eyes catching sight of the tears in his suit jacket and frowned. So he had been attacked while he was out. At least he came back in one piece, and he didn't seem to be bleeding, not from what she could see from where she stood. Sighing again as he sat, she moved to the bed and sat on the edge of it carefully, looking to the floor for a moment before looking at Kylar. "That's fine with me, maybe we can actually enjoy the time knowing there's something more beyond this now." she smiled, though not as bright as before. She looked over to her journal that sat on the desk next to Kylar, open to a half-written song, her eyes saddening a bit then she laid back on the bed and held her hand out above her. She narrowed her eyes slightly, "Hey... back at the hideout... you said you were looking for someone... why were you looking for her..." she asked in a calm voice, a twinge of jealousy surfaced without her realizing it at first. What made Kate so important that he'd join a military group just to find her? The girl that was Michael's younger sister. What was she to him? The thought pained her, but she wanted to know more, her thirst for information seemingly unquenchable, only setting a blaze of desperate need for more, something she hardly anticipated but it was too late to stop now.

Kylar kicked off his shoes and joined Andy in the bed. He was on his side so that he could watch her. She seemed concerned, but he didn't see Mara as a threat, her pets however. His head shook as he answered her first question, "No, she doesn't know where we are. I'm fine, just a few scratches." He placed his free arm across her cuddling in the bed as they continued to talk. "I got a house in Hinale, a village far to the south of here. Apparently it was once the City of Angels. There are no humans in the village so it should be the perfect place to start a family." He grinned at that last part.

The desk was littered with crumpled up scraps of paper, obviously she was having trouble writing and it seemed to be upsetting her. Trying to calm her down he reassured her, "Don't worry that you can't write, it's probably just nerves. I'm sure once we settle down you'll be flowing freely." He leaned in to kiss her cheek pausing at the question. He thought for a moment and then spoke, "I was looking for the woman who took me from Sanctuary twenty years ago. She's the one who raised me and I thought maybe she would be able to tell me why I didn't remember anything." He intentionally left out details regarding Kate although he now knew the truth because as far as Andy knew he couldn't remember who he was. There was no need to ruin things by telling her that it was only her now.

Andy nodded while still looking at her hand. "That's good..." she retorted simply, honestly not wanting to talk further about Mara and her goons. Everything that happened upon their abrupt leave had caused a permanent sense of dread in her heart. "...hinale...." she whispered, narrowing her eyes in thought as she thought about a city of angels. Angels. "...so maybe I'll be more protected there as part of the angels i guess?" she asked rhetorically then sighed and closed her eyes for a moment, his words filling her mind, a sense of familiarity as she reflected on the only memory she started with when she woke up just over a month ago. Perfect place to start a family. She opened her eyes, putting her hand down and stared at the ceiling with pain and worry deeply seeded in her eyes. "Is that even safe?" she whispered, then looked to Kylar with a frown. "If anyone found out I had kids... They'd be in danger constantly. What if we couldn't protect them...." she questioned the issue, laying her concerns out clearly. "It would be nice... I just think my old self might have ruined any chance of me feeling safe about starting a family...." she sighed then reached over to brush some hair out of his face, leaving her hand softly against the side of his face, staring into his red eyes. She sighed with a forced half smile, burying the more intense feelings she had about it. Kylar began to explain Kate and she watched him carefully as he spoke. Relief filled her as Kate's affiliation leaned toward a family member, a mother figure even and yet Andy frowned, trying to decide if she should even saying anything about what she had been told, knowing that if she mentioned it, she would also be revealing that she had left in the first place and had called Blaise. She honestly didn't know how he'd take it, but she'd feel immensely guilty for keeping it from him. "I.... might... know where she is..." she had a look of remorse and sadness on her face as she analyzed his reaction carefully. Would he want to go back for her if he knew she was part of the renegade? Would he even join them? Her thoughts raced as she tried to anticipate how he'd feel but somehow only feeling distantly unaware of how he felt about a lot of things like she was talking to a stranger. A stranger who loved her and nothing more, but how long before that would be an unknown too.

Protected, in the city of angels? The question struck a cord with Kylar, while there were no humans there would she really be protected? It was hard to say given he couldn't control an entire city to guarantee it was safe, but it was likely one of the safer places they could go. After giving it thought he finally answered, "That's the plan. Hinale should be safe for us, safe enough for children even." He mentioned the possibility of them having children once more before addressing her concerns. Safety, that seemed to be her biggest issue perhaps tackling that one first would be enough to shift her opinion. He thought briefly choosing his words carefully before speaking, "No one will find out. We'll just have to take a few extra precaution, but we'll be able to protect them."

Andy brought up Kate, saying she might know where she was. Had she met Kate when they had been at the renegade base? He wasn't sure, but regardless perhaps this was another point he could push towards his own ends. Of course he remembered who Kate was and that she was a member of EE so he wasn't giving up anything by what he said, however Andy didn't know that. Kylar leaned into her hand while he spoke gently, "I don't care about her anymore. I wanted to know who she was so that I could know my own family. I don't need that though, you and I can start our own. The past is forgotten for a reason so I only want to look to our future."

Andy bit her lip idly as he attempted to dispel any doubts she had about having children, her eyes slowly drifting away as he spoke. Maybe it was truly a possibility to raise a family within their protection from fighting and chaos. Which brought the questions forth in her mind, ”..i wonder if I ever-..” she whispered quietly to herself then shook her head of the thought. She had pondered whether she had ever thought about having a family, if she maybe had to choose between family and fighting in the renegades. Or maybe that choice had already been made for her, since Blaise’s and Kylar’s words had solidified the insinuation of her troubled past especially with romance. She considered that maybe she could never settle down and chose to fight instead, though from what she had explained, she did raise some of the members of the renegade with a man named Rasiel. Was it possible that she had dragged them into the fighting from her own desire for chaos? She wasn’t entirely sure. She withdrew her hand and laid onto her back once more, staring up on the ceiling as she draped her hands over her stomach. As she blinked, her eyes darted lightly in thought. ”…maybe it’s a luxury I can finally afford…” she commented calmly, still slightly apprehensive but a lot more open to the idea now.

Her eyes squinted in confusion as he revealed that he didn’t care about Kate anymore, her thoughts immediately questioning how he could possible just push aside wanting to know his own past so easily, something that had been extremely difficult for her to do herself. However, as he began to further explain his stance, it began to make more sense. It was only fair anyway, as that still gave them common ground of not knowing what lay behind them, forcing them to look toward the future, something she found incredibly endearing that he’d cast aside all of that for her as it filled her heart with warmth. She looked to him with a gentle smile, the same one she had when they joked about her love of cake and when she created an entire aurora borealis for him. She stared into his eyes again with a more kind and sure look about her, ”What do we have to do then….”

Kylar smiled, she was beginning to accept his idea of a family, only a slight push was needed now. She wondered if she ever, the pause he pondered what she was going to say and responded, "What woman doesn't want a family? People to love you unconditionally, someone who needs you to survive. I can't think of anything more beautiful than the creation of new life." Kylar pulled in closer, kissing her cheek. "Luxury is more than just something you can afford, it's something you deserve."

Kylar rolled over, holding himself up over Andy. He looked down into her eyes speaking gently, "Well, if we weren't metas we would already be on the right track." He had a playful grin as he leaned in, his lips against hers. Pulling away a few moments later he spoke again, "Just because it doesn't work like that for us doesn't mean we can't begin there though. We can go over the other details on the way to Hinale."

Andy raised her eyebrows through still narrowed eyes as she thought on it all. It wasn't exactly a decision to make so easily, but something tugged at her mind to want this. A family, unconditional love, to be needed. To be wanted. And Kylar was right, it was something she deserved, just like everyone else.

Her eyes followed him as he rolled over her and she blinked with a hint of a soft smile, listening to him. She began to smile even more as he hinted at something more. He kissed her and she was his, barely listening to what else he had to say before wrapping her arms around the back of his neck and pulled him into a deeper kiss. She didn't want to talk anymore, she wanted to act. The details about how Metas really created a family could come later, right now, they would just enjoy their time together. Something she'd long for since his departure a week ago. "...I love you, Kylar." she whispered as she indulged into her senses, her weakness, the only thing she'd never deny.

The next morning, she arose early, the sun barely peeking over the horizon as she sat up gently with a smile. She looked over to Kylar who was still asleep as she kissed him gently on the cheek and got out of bed, pulling on her clothes as she readied for the day. Humming a song as brushed her teeth, which slowly turning into a song she sang aloud quietly to herself as she brushed her hair and put it up into a messy bun. She seemed fairly happy. Maybe it was the talks of the previous night, or maybe that they were finally moving to a safer place, or maybe she just felt energized from the previous intimacy they had. Either way, she was in a very good mood as she smiled at herself in the mirror.

Kylar was pulled in by Andy, their tongues intertwined as the kiss deepened. Taking a moment to breath as she whispered, he responded. "I love too, Andy" Andy reciprocated his desires as they lost themselves in one another.

A beautiful voice woke Kylar the next morning. He peeked out of the sheets watching Andy for a while before crawling out of bed. His reflection joined hers in the mirror as he walked up behind her. Kylars arms wrapped around her waist, his head moving close to hers as he whispered in her ear. "Good morning, beautiful." Kissing the back of her neck he gently pulled her back to the bed. All of the progress she had made in getting ready for the day undone as he pulled her back under the sheets.

Later that same morning, Kylar grabbed the phone beside the bed and ordered room service. He slipped out of bed heading towards the shower as he called out to Andy, "Breakfast should be up soon. I suggest you get in a nap until they get here, we have a long trip ahead of us."

Kylar got out of the shower as the food arrived. He threw on a towel before opening the door and accepting the tray of food. He placed the food on a counter and began getting dressed and sitting down to eat with Andy. Once done eating he began to talk as Andy got ready for the trip, "So, about how we start a family. I heard of a local legend in Hinale. Apparently there is a golden goddess to the west of the city, those that complete a marriage ritual there are blessed with children by the gods." He smiled at the mention of marriage and added, "That means I'm asking you to marry me."

Andy shifted to smile at Kylar through the mirror as he approached, closing her eyes as he wrapped his arms around her, his touch already more than enticing as she tried not to let her thoughts get too carried away on all that. A whisper and a soft kiss and it was back to all the things she lusted for, more than a willing participant as she giggled lightly, being dragged back into the bed to undo all her progress of the morning. Okay, maybe a bit longer in bed wouldn't hurt. They were enjoying themselves after all.

Late, food had arrived and it was time to get ready for the day, at least that was the intention for real this time. Enjoying a breakfast with him was a nice touch, something that felt nice, like a normal couple did. Like the world could stop and this peaceful moment could just last forever. Though, once the food was gone, it was on from that moment and to the next as she packed things for the trip, listening to Kylar idly. A local legend, a golden goddess, a ritual, and a promise of children. Seemed simple enough. She wondered how that kind of stuff even worked, not even realizing the first mention of marriage as she picked up her journal from the table. "I wonder what you have to do in the mar-.." she paused, the words finally hitting her as she turned to him in surprise. I'm asking you to marry me. Andy stood there staring at him as she lost grip on her journal and dropped. "..you're asking... me-..." she was repeating it in her head, trying to even fully comprehend his words now. She was definitely caught off guard, but honestly didn't know why she didn't see it coming. Family, kids, of course marriage would be apart of it all. Her smile began to return as she looked away for a moment, a slight hue of red reaching the surface of her face as she looked him in the eyes and nodded at him. "..Yes... I will..."

Kylar pulled Andy into his arms kissing her. His proposal had been odd, delivered poorly, but still she accepted. His lips caressed hers before he whispered to her, "I love you, Mrs. Gatt. He resisted the urge to crawl back into bed again, instead grabbing his jacket from the closet to finish getting ready.

Watching Andy pack, a voice rang through his head. He seemed to doubt himself or at least Kage did. 'You can't do this. It's not right to trick her into having your children.' Kylar frowned as the personality he had developed in the months where he didn't exist surfaced. Kage, the personality that had developed during that time had been a disappointment. Had things gone as planned he would have simply been able to forget the time he had been another, but given the threats he had encountered it was no longer possible. 'You're one to talk, Kage. You were fine sleeping with her when she didn't know better. The only difference is when I'm done we can attempt to fix your mistake without dying.' Kage remained silent after he responded in his own head.

Once the packing was complete, Kylar picked up the bag and pushed open a window. He put the bag on his back and looked to Andy with a grin, "I figured we could fly there. Are you up for stretching your wings?"
PostPosted: Tue Apr 26, 2016 6:50 pm

Andy smiled brightly as she pulled in for another kiss, practically laughing with joy as she rested her forehead against his. "You keep that up and we'll never leave.." she joked then closed her eyes with a smile, reluctantly pulling herself away from him long enough to distract her desires. She picked back up her journal and stared at it for a moment but half snorting and throwing it into her bag. She was had convinced herself to lose her worry about it all. Her past was another person now, someone who couldn't be happy. But she didn't have to be held back by her old image and her decisions. She finished packing her things and then smiled at Kylar as he opened the window. Her grin widening as the offer of flight excited her. She hadn't flown for leisure in... well, as long as she could remember. Andy took a graceful step up, kicking off the window seal hard as she threw herself into the air as her wings outstretched and caught wind easily, flapping hard to get higher into the air as she spun lightly to face toward Kylar, backwinging lighting to stay in the air as she laughed.

--------

When they finally reached the smaller city, a rather average city with nothing particularly out of the ordinary. It was lined with many houses and there was a certain bustle that felt welcoming as angels and demons mostly took the streets as well as many other races, many of them metas. Towards the center of the city, there were larger buildings of necessity. Never anything outlandish or unneeded. Everything seemed to have its purpose here. People greeted each other and it seemed like a fairly friendly atmosphere.

She decended, moving her wings backwards lightly to soothe her landing as she planted her feet gently upon the ground again, retracting her wings as she stood there, looking around and taking in the sights. She was filled with relief but also a nagging nervousness for being so much in the open as she reached up a hand to grab her arm and shifted lightly. "Where to?" she asked, directing her gaze at him as she seem worried but grateful to even be there.

Kylar slowly descended behind Andy, watching her reaction. When she grabbed her arm he stepped in and took her hand. He looked at her and smiled, trying to calm her nerves as he spoke, "Don't worry, Andy. We're safe here, so let's go home." Home, the idea of having one of his own was still strange. Even stranger was having one with a woman he barely knew, his feelings for her a byproduct of his other self. He hadn't chosen any of this for himself, but he couldn't just abandon his responsibilities or ignore the feelings he developed because of Kage.

Kylar led Andy towards a small house near the edge of town. Although small, it had four bedrooms, ample room for several children should things work out in his favor. Andy was a wildcard, like himself she had been given a blank slate and developed into another person. The person she was before a mystery other than the brief glimpses he had of her before her memory. The first two steps of his plan were falling into position, a place for her to call home and soon children of her own. If everything went well he could undo the mistake Kage had made when he forced her to love him. The children could fulfill his promise to her of someone to want her, assuming she would want nothing to do with him anymore.

Their bedroom, one of the few furnished rooms in the house, was the last one he took her to. He watched Andy as he asked, "So, what do you think? Is it to small?" He set down the bag watching her with anticipation.
