 A cold breeze blew through the open window of a medium-sized room for two as a kidden began to baa and make a quite a lot of noise. This startled a sleeping geist child as he had fallen asleep at his desk, he had been working on studying a cook book though he should have been doing his homework. The geist child yawned as he gazed up at the open window. he always kept his window open so the cold breeze could fill his room and keep his Pumpka happy. The cold air is what had caused him to fall asleep, he enjoyed the cold as well, this brought comfort to him. He slowly brought his sleeve covered hands to his face and gently rubbed at his eyes as he slipped back his chair proceeding to go clean his face up.
After cleaning up he looked over to his friends and smiled going over to check on them, he fed his pets and hugged each of them individually but not before getting a few headbutts from his kidden and his hair messed up by his Pumpka. He then made sure that his two slimes had a moist habitat before grabbing a book off his desk to look at the due date. "uh oh" , he muttered softly, he was a few days late in returning the book. He quickly gathered up his backpack and put all the books he had borrowed witch were a maximum of four and put them in his bag. After doing so he then began to exist his room but not before telling his pets to behave, " Please be good! Gumdrop please don't eat my homework again!" He said with a pout as the mischievous kidden ignored him and proceeded jumping around on his bed; this didn't do much harm as it was better than the young familiar jumping on something more breakable.
With all that said and done Azriel rushed to the library, upon arriving he nervously went to the counter, but he found it a bit hard to approach knowing how late his books were. He really didn't want to get scolded for being late, but he approached none the less no mater how nervous he was. After the books were all checked in and he was given a small talking to about being late on returning books, he was told to be a little more careful though it wasn't too bad seeing it had not been weeks or even months, only a few days didn't get him in as much trouble as he thought. He began to search threw thee library with some time to spare before his next class, he went straight for the cooking books. Pastries, cakes, cookies and other savory treats, there were so many yummy themes to each cook book catering to particular diets of each nightmare and daydream. He grabbed a book on cakes and a book on Familiars as he then went to find a nice spot to sit in a corner away from crowded ares, as much as he liked to make new friends he wasn't one to approach others.

 Niamh was in her room, grooming her familiars. She was concerned, a bit, about her little Griftoo, Orza. Orza, normally a playful griftoo, had been acting very quiet the past two days. She'd pretty much had been laying in her bed, doing nothing, unless it was to get up for sustenance or necessary trips to the PetBox. Sure, Orza would come when she was called (and hadn't THAT been a chore, training her to do that!), but it wasn't her usual 'gallop across the room at full speed'. It had been more like 'walk like she was carrying a rock on her back'. Niamh was beginning to get worried.
In fact, she was beginning to think she might need to take Orza to a vet. But she didn't want to have to do that, none of her Familiars LIKED the vet. They all got upset and fussy when they went, and it was at least a WEEK after before they calmed down... If they had no medicines to worry about. She walked over to Orza, and ran her fingers along her pet. She was a little warm, but not so much that she thought it was a fever. After some thought, she suddenly grinned. "OH I know. I'm going to the library!" She stood up, and looked at her other familiars. "Watch Orza for me, I need to do some research!" She headed out the door, and down the hall. As soon as she found a door to the outside, she went out it and began to run down the path to the library.
When she got there, she stopped, took a few fortifying breaths, and slid inside. The librarian still scared her some, but she refused to let that get in her way. She headed straight to the back, where she knew the Familiars section was. She browsed for a long time, then found a book on Griftoo ailments. After reading for about an hour, she took a DEEP, relieved breath! It wasn't a big deal, just a small cold... And Orza should be fine in a few days. She wanted to DANCE with relief, but was able to refrain. She didn't want the librarian to HATE her.
As she was about to head back out, she noticed another freshling who had very pink hair... and some blue and purple colors. She watched him, curiously, feeling an odd kinship to him, simply from the colors they both had. Sure, she was more of a cotton candy pink and blue, but still! And when he grabbed a book on familiars, she couldn't resist... She followed him to his seat, and said "Hi... I noticed you grabbed a book on familiars... I love familiars, myself, and figured I should introduce myself." Did that sound stupid? She mentally shrugged, and then introduced herself. "I'm Niamh!"

Azriel was reading quietly in his head trying to figure out how to train his kidden to stop eating his homework, when he heard the sudden bubbly voice he nearly fell out of his seat in surprise. "Gha!" He shriek slightly but covered his mouth not to disturb anyone, he was so focused he really didn't think anyone would really want to talk to him. He looked up and rubbed his head in embarrassment for shrieking, he gave her a shy smile. "H..hello" he said softly. "Y...es I have four. " He tried not to be so shy so he could at least give a proper introduction. He was a bit nervous because it wasn't often he talked to anyone. " I'am Azriel. its n..nice to meet you Niamh." He said as he showed her the particular book he had grabbed it was one on training. "One is a kidden. hes been eating my homework..." He said sadly as this caused him a bit of an issue, but he loved his kidden none the less. " W..would you like to join me? " He asked as he wanted to try and get to know her. He didn't really want to be alone, he would rather try to make a new friend.Lady Aria Starstone Thank for the books! At the shriek, she stepped back, startled, then realized it was just in surprise. "Oh! OH I'm sorry to have startled you, I didn't mean to! I just got excited about the idea of a new friend." She beamed at him, warmly, when he commented on his kidden, and then frowned, tapping her chin as she considered the issue of kiddens eating homework. She didn't have a kidden, as yet, so she wasn't really sure about training them.
When he invited her to join him, she refocused and smiled warmly. "Oh! Thank you, yes!" She slid into a seat and tilted her head to one side. "So your kidden is being difficult? Hmmm. I don't have any of those... I wonder what training them is like?" She got a serious expression on her face as she thought about this. "Maybe I could help you? I mean, maybe since I don't have one it's a bad idea, I just... I really like familiars, and would like to help." She blinked a little, thinking about how much she'd been rambling.

When she apologized Azriel shook his head gently. "No need to be sorry its not your fault. " He said with a soft smile as he watcher her happily she looked so excited witch made him happy too." I'am happy to make a new friend too so it's ok." He said as he closed his book and listened to her when she sat down with him, when she began to talk about the kidden he remembered back to what he was told when he was given the kidden. " I was told there pretty stubborn they don't take to easily to training,I've had him for about a week now hes pretty rough too, but I've become uses to his headbutts. he is small like me ,it doesn't hurt." he said with a giggle. "We could go back to my room and you can meet him if you like?" he said seeing a she liked familiars too maybe getting to meet all 4 of his would be fun for them both. "When you do maybe we can try to train him together?" he suggested, two heads were better then one after all.

She smiled happily, glad they both were in agreement on new friends. This was wonderful. She then tilted her head, listening to his explanation of his experiences with his Kidden. Stubborn, hmmm... Butting a bit, and rough. All of this was really important to know, especially if she ever got one herself. Still, she'd do her best to help her new friend for this, so when he invited her to go meet the Kidden, Niamh nodded happily!
"I would love to meet your friend, that would be wonderful!" At his second suggestion, her eyes widen, with an expression of serious thought on her face. "Yeeees I think that would be best to do... You will have to be the primary trainer, of course, because we don't want him confused as to who he needs to obey!"

Azriel watched her become existed, not that she wasn't already but this made him happy. He heard her explain that he would need to primary teach him to obey witch was slightly easier said then done. As Azriel didn't really have much of a back bone for training but it was worth a shot, with her help he was sure he could get threw it. " Alright ill put theses books away and I'll take you there." He got out of the chair and rushed over to the shelf and put back the cook books before heading over a training book on Kidden. After doing so he came back to her side and smiled sweetly. " Ok I'am ready to go now! " He said as he then began to lead the way to his room, it wasn't to far from the library as he soon opened up the door letting her inside his room.
his room was pink with two windows, the room was medium size enough for 2-4 freshlings to bunk in the same room, depending on weather or not there were bunk beds. the floors were hard wood made from shade wood witch was a dark in color. there weren't many drawings on the wall but the room had a bed for each familiar who needed one and two habitat tanks one for each slime he had, a single bed and desk on the left side of the room and a book case filled with cooking books and care for familiar books to the side of his desk.
Azriels room was clean besides the now torn up paper scattered around the room, he pouted and went over too the kidden chewing on his worksheet book. " no, no bad Gumdrop!" he stated as his kidden was still chewing on his book, Azriel tried to get it from him but was met with a headbutt as he let go and fell over. " ow!" He yelped as he sighed softly. " t..this is Gumdrop he is my kidden" he said as his other familiars were ether asleep or playing. his slimes were bumping in to each other and hoping about while his Pumpka was rolling and hoping about across the floor.

Niamh watched Azriel put his things away, leaning on the wall. When he came back, she straightened and patted his shoulder, in a friendly way. "Let's go! We can do this, I'm sure of it!" She calmly trotted after him, out of the library and down the halls.
When they got into his room, she unabashedly looked around, taking in the colors, how it was set up, and so on. She noted the single bed for a Nightmare, and all the pet beds. She then glanced at his bookcase, and smiled warmly at his cookbook collection. She knew what he was interested in, now, and she would keep track of that for the future. Then she paid attention to the actual pets.
She frowned some, watching the way the kidden behaved. This didn't seem right at all... And when Gumdrop knocked Azriel over, she gave an ALMIGHTY frown, and immediately spoke up. "BAD Gumdrop! BAD!" Her tone was strong, and firm, and without meaning to, her wings flared, like she was trying to make herself appear bigger to the naughty kidden. "Don't butt your friends, that's not ok!" She offered Azriel a hand up, and looked at all the papers that the kidden had strewn all over. "All right I think our first task is to get you some better storage containers for your stuff! Good, solid wood boxes, drawers... You might need to put doors on your shelves, or he might go after your books! But if there's nothing for him to attack, it might be a first step. From there... we need to figure out a way to keep him from butting you, and also how to make sure your sheets and things stay safe!"

Azriel got up as he dusted him self free of all the paper and quickly went to grab his bunny plushie before his kidden chewed it up. "y.ya but, how will i do that." He asked her as he thought about how or even were he could get stuff like better containers to protect his books and homework. "W..won't he just eat threw those too?" He thought for a moment as he thought about containers."what if, we uses metal containers? thick ones kinda like an iron skillet?" he thought a bit more but, the only things like that were in the cooking class and he couldn't take those, he tried to calm down his kidden as he pushed it up on to his bed were it could bounce, at least that distracted it from chewing anything up for the time being. He watched his kidden as he went over to her. " Do you know were we can get better containers?" He asked as he began to clean up the shredded paper from his note book.

She thought about that, and then finally said "Well we could ask for them from one of the adults maybe? Or... I think there's some stores nearby. But surely a kidden couldn't chew through good solid plastic?" She paused, and drew her brows together, thinking. "Can they? Wood might be... chewable, though it'd take time... Plastic might not, though? Especially if it tastes bad to Gumdrop. But metal might work too." She scratched at her forehead, considering these things. "We should definitely ask a teacher! Maybe the teacher who does Care of Magical Creatures can help us! He might know what materials would be best for keeping out kiddens, and maybe even where to get them!" She grinned at Azriel. "In the meantime, do you know of anything Gumdrop DOESN'T like? Like maybe lemon scents or something?"

He really couldn't think of anything, Gumdrop ate just about Everything, Azriel shook his head slightly, but he had not really had any plastic containers maybe it was a chance gumdrop wouldn't chew threw it. " it might work but, The book said they eat just about anything, Maybe plastic would be a good start" He said as he thought to him self watching the wild kidden bounce about on the bed before flopping to its side and letting out a little baaa. Azriel smiled as he sat down on his bed beside his kidden beginning to pet his head softly. as he thought on the question of gumdrop not liking anything a bit more, he perked up his head to look at her " Um, he wont eat certain plants things like, poison ivy any thing poisonous he definitely avoids, Anything metal he avoids or spits out if he accidentally eats it. Azriel looked around the room to try and remember anything he wouldn't eat but that was just about it. " i guess i should start taking Sirius class soon hu?" he said with a giggle as he did want to learn more about the familiars cooking was first on his mind, aside from caring for his friends.
Lady Aria Starstone sorry got sucked up in the event for a while.

Lady Aria Starstone "Well we can start with plastic, and see how he reacts... If it doesn't work, we can try upgrading to metals or something! Give basics a try, before going on to the complex or more apparently nonsensical things." She nods, firmly, then ponders the poisonous stuff. "Mmmm I don't think having poisonous stuff in your room would be a good idea, but maybe it's possible to make something SMELL like a poisonous item to him?" She frowned a little, then giggled. "Yeah! I bet Sirius would help lots about this!"yuniki_stardream No worries, my muses have been like 'Hmmm I want to RP but... not now!'

Azriel nodded but soon came to the realization " I think I know where I can get help with a spray to make my stuff smell unappetizing" he said as he petted his kidden a bit thinking to himself as he listened to her ideas" ok, I think its time I should take that class too. but I am kinda nervous hopefully it will help over time!" he went over to her as he smiled " I am glad I have you here to help me" he said as she looked back to his kidden who had calmed down significantly while they were talking and had fallen asleep in its bed. Lady Aria Starstone ( i think it's about time to wrap this one up since I have no wifi at home for the time being I don't wanna keep you waiting . sorry for the bland reply)

She gave her new friend a hug, and smiled happily. She looked over his various familiars, and said "I bet you can do all this, and I'll happily help with anything I can, Azriel! I'm super glad to have met you." She bounced on her toes, then noticed the time on his clock. "OH! Oh no! I better head back to my own dorm! It's almost dinner time and I need to feed my familiars and wash up! I'll see you later, Azzy, promise! And if you need help, come find me!" She gave him another hug, then ran off to her own room!yuniki_stardream All right! -HUGS- It's ok, I'm sorry things are no fun at home!
