Iss-Banor, the northeastern most city of Tretera, home of thugs, bandits and other undesirables. Kylar found himself on the streets of this city looking around as the sky began to darken. The suit he wore along with the shades he kept on even though it was night hid the fact that he was a Meta, although even without them it was unlikely many would pay much notice to that or even care. People seemed to keep to themselves as anyone dumb enough to walk around alone at night in this city could likely handle themselves enough to be not worth the effort. Matching with that sentiment, Kylar carried a sword at his side as a visible statement that he was armed. Many others carried weapons that were visible as well, it wasn't uncommon here not among the trash of society. This was a place where a monster could make a home unnoticed, but that's not why he was here.

Kylar walked down the road searching for a secluded area, rather difficult to do with so many lurking in alleyways setting up ambushes for those who were to drunk to notice or dumb enough to wander past the 'safety' of the streets. It took nearly an hour to find an alley that had not yet been taken up as an ambush point, it was a bit boggling how many used such underhanded tactics even here in the one city where everyone expected it, perhaps not as boggling as how often it worked. Even when everyone suspects one another someone always makes a mistake and is caught off guard eventually. He took note of that fact before entering seclusion within the alley in the city of criminals.

He removed his phone from his suit and began to dial the number for the Aldas office of SIU. He listened to the rings patiently for a secretary or whomever it was to answer, "Hello, thank you for calling the Special Investigations Unit. How may we assist you today?" Kylar listened to the full introduction message before speaking, "Ahh, yes. Hello, I need to speak with Colonel Mara Gold. I have information for her regarding the fugitives Kage and Andy Eternal." He made sure to provide as little information as possible, but to sound important enough by referring to Mara by title and knowing about the escape that likely would have been kept under wraps given the fact that Mara could be seen as compromised otherwise. The other line was silent for a moment before he got a response, "It will be just a moment, please hang on while we transfer you." The phone began to ring once more. Silently he waited until Mara answered the phone, "Hello, Mara Gold. This is Kylar Gatt, we need to talk."

Kylar smirked as he responded, "Sure, I'm in Iss-Banor. You're welcome to come get me and while you send some goons out to do just that we can have a pleasant little talk. Kage screwed up and I would like to talk to you about possibly of resolving this peacefully." Unsure of how fast of a response time SIU would have he turned to face the entrance of the alleyway before speaking again. "A package should be arriving for you soon, a sign of good faith."

Kylar looked around making sure no one else was nearby. "You've suffered a great deal of injures and so peacefully is the only smart way for this conversation to go. I would first like to apologize for Kage and his rash behavior. I didn't know how things would turn out, but he was supposed to go to Sanctuary, not join with SIU. It was a miscalculation on my part and so I apologize for any inconvenience he caused you." He paused for a moment considering his next words. "I never intended for him to fall in love either, it makes things a bit complicated for me as well now. I would like to offer you a deal. Andy Eternal, her bounty proves an issue for me. I plan to keep her hidden, away from the renegade and from harming humans. I would like you to remove her bounty and I will ensure that she isn't an issue."

He waited for an answer while he checked the time. "It's almost time, have your guards let the woman at the gate in or at least take her package. I'll wait for you to open it before we continue."

Kylar laughed, "You would think someone without a memory would be predictable. However with nothing left it's a mystery. We are shaped by our surroundings and everything leading up to who we become, take all of that away and each person is a mystery. No one reacts the same, it's impossible to predict without some influence." The was silence as he listened on the line before frowning, "You haven't opened the package yet, have you?" Kylar took a moment to take in his surroundings once more making sure SIU hadn't been able to respond just yet. After deciding he was safe still he dipped back into the alley. "No, Kage is not my brother. I thought you smarter than that. You were aware that Kage also went by Kylar were you not?"

Kylar laughed as she misiterpreted his words. It was true Kage had made a mess of things, but he was hardly a malice. Although he could see how she thought that given her first hand experiences with the girl, Hexxis, and the malice, Ashral. After a good laugh he finally spoke confirming her statement. "Yes. I am in control now and as long as I keep Andy safe Kage won't fight for control." He rather let her think he was a malice than try and explain it. Mara already had all of the information and if that's what she believed then it was easier to allow her to believe a lie.

"Look, malice infested or not. I want Andy sent back to us. you want to save her? That is how."

"That's how? Alri..." Kylar had begun to answer, but suddenly stopped. A voice screamed at him in his head, his own or more accuratly Kage. 'You can't hand her over to Mara, that's the opposite of safe. She had Ree kill one of her own just to try and stop you from escaping.' Kylar suddenly spoke again or shouted, "Shut up! Fine, we won't give her to Mara." He took a breath before adressing Mara again, "Kage won't agree to that. While she may be safer with you I can not allow you to have her. Instead I shall keep her occupied and out of harms way, be warned anyone sent after her will be killed."

Another long pause came before speaking once more, "You may not trust me, but the human girl knows nothing about why she is at the gate. She only knows she is supposed to hand over the package to whomever asks for it. Inside as a token of good faith is the key you asked Kage for before he fled. I only hope you will return the token by removing the bounty." He smirked, the next move was hers would she trust him or harm the human or even waste hours testing a harmless package.

"Spectrum? Why would I need them, you assume Kage was the malice?" Kylar taunted Mara annoyed at her arrogance, although it didn't help that he had his own. Taking it a step further he added, "You don't even know me, Mara Gold. I know you however, Kage was inside of your head. Have you figured out what special command he gave you yet, or is it still a surprise?" Kylar knew that Kage hadn't done anything extra to Mara, but she didn't know that and he hoped to garner some sort of response out of her. Perhaps it was his own nature or Kage yelling in his head, but he didn't like Mara for some reason.

He chuckled when Mara mentioned that he had a bounty of his own. It wasn't a surprise, Kage had left the compound by freeing two terrorists. The surprising part however was how little she thought of him, even if she didn't think him a threat it was rude to say so directly to him. Being perhaps a bit to cocky he commented on her jab, "That's funny, you believe Kage had access to even a fraction of the power I hold? He didn't know the true extent of his own powers, but let me make it clear I do not have the limitations that he had." Kylar thought highly of himself and that he wasn't a threat was insulting, all Metas were a threat especially to powerless humans such as Mara, it's why there was such prejudice against them. True he likely wouldn't have stood a chance against Andy. It still stung, especially the comment about making others afraid for no reason.

Kylar took a deep breath to calm himself as Mara pressed one of his buttons moving the phone away from himself for a moment. A few breaths later he raised the phone to his ear once more and continued speaking, "The key is useless to me, but before all of this began you wanted it. Kage believed it was the source of his power and used it to limit himself without realizing it. He never realized his true potential because he was limited to the physical. It was merely a token, it could have been more... However the option for that seems highly unlikely." He paused not sure what to say for a moment.

Andy, she thought that he had her in Iss-Banor. It meant she didn't know where she was. He thought for a moment, perhaps a distraction of some sort could be created from that, or some political red tape that would keep SIU off of their backs for a while. Spectrum, with the way she kept mentioning them it was likely they had ties within Spectrum so they were not a good choice. Sactuary, when Kage had first met Ree he had been undercover at Sanctuary. That meant that they had been looking for something and didn't trust them to answer. In all the time Kage had been at SIU he hadn't seen Ree out for an extended period perhaps he was no longer a mole there. It wouldn't hurt, even if she knew he was lying she wouldn't know where Andy was. He spoke finally, "Andy isn't with me anymore. She's in the one place even your influence can't reach her. I've left her at Sanctuary under the care of someone trustworthy." He didn't know that the current leader of Spectrum was at the Sanctuary or it's ties to the renegade. It just seemed like the perfect scapegoat to buy time. Some place Mara had been trying to infiltrate and a large organization of it's own. Perhaps something would come of it and Mara would be distracted, but either way he had to move Andy once all of this was over to somewhere more permanent. "I'm not hiding, I told you in the beginning where I was." He made a final stab before remaining silent so that she could respond.

Mara mentioned his Aura once more and Kylars' breathing became shallow. He clenched a fist as he tried to calm down, losing control in a town like Iss-Banor likely wasn't a good idea. Her confusion seemed a solid grounder as his amusement alleviated the anger. He chuckled at her joke about the elephant as he regained his composure. He didn't know how well his attempt to distract SIU would become, however it was clear that this conversation was going nowhere quickly. Any attempts for a peaceful resolution were out of the question as Mara refused to deal demanding only a single thing. If it wasn't so damn annoying it would have been impressive with how stubborn she was. An annoying human who felt she was so entitled to make demands. The next time he was in the position Kage had been in when he erased her memories he would have to remember to kill her.

"I don't need or want your ultimatums. This talk was anything but a waste of time for me however. I now know that you are like a child refusing to budge as you throw a tantrum. However eventually you will be punished for your actions, Colonel Mara Gold." Kylar was grinning amused with himself at this point as he taunted Mara. He almost didn't hear the footsteps at the end of the alleyway as a group of men approached. He turned towards the entry way speaking to Mara once more before setting the phone aside, "One moment, I have visitors."

A squat fat little man stepped into the dark back alley and called out. "Ey, you there. Are you Kage?" Kylar eyed him with a grin, it seemed Mara had actually sent someone after him, that or this warrant was something to be concerned about. The latter was unlikely given where he was so Mara must have done something. He took a step forward towards the man causing two larger men to mimic him putting themselves between himself and the man who had asked the question. He answer, "I am, or I was. Who wants to know?" He didn't seem concerned as a few more men came from around the corner filling up the exit quickly. "It's a shame you don't have the girl with ya, we'll just have to find her after we finish with you. Get em, boys."

The little man pointed a finger at Kylar, the group of men all drawing daggers all drawing daggers and rushing forward. They didn't seem to bright or perhaps didn't notice the sword at his side as they rushed forward with such short blades. It was dark in the alley in their defense though. The sword flashed as it sliced clean through the gut of one of the men causing him to collapse as the others all stepped in close enough that the range of the blade wasn't such a large advantage anymore. One man down, there were still four others to worry about including the fat one that just watched, likely the boss. The men slashed towards him as he thrust the blade into the gut of another of the attackers. Two blades tore into his suit, the gashes they left on his back were a lot shallower than they should have been and nowhere near deadly.

Kylar looked at the remaining two a grin on his face as he removed his shades, the sword grasped in his other hand. "Who's next?" He taughted, his bright red eyes glowing enough to shed a dim light in the darkness that surrounded them all. He stepped between them ducking as they thrust their blades towards him, perhaps panicking as they realized they hadn't brought enough people or better weapons. The light from his eyes dimmed until there alley was black once more, the light hidden as he became invisible. The leader panicked as the two remaining men collapsed in a spray of blood, it seemed he was the type to rely on muscle and be worthless without it. Kylar almost took chase, but returned to the phone picking it up as the invisibility faded. He listened for a moment hearing the line still active he made one final statement before ending the call himself, "Sorry about that, either that was poor timing or you sent me a gift. Either way I have a rodent to exterminate and you have a warning. Anyone you send after Andy or myself will be terminated, with extreme prejudice." After hanging up he took chase, that man had threatened Andy he was going to pay for that.
