Picking fights with people you knew only got you so far in the Negaverse business. She could call facing off against Aluminite or 'accidentally' tripping Dia a training exercise all she wanted, but what it really boiled down to was a time waster. Fighting against them didn't help her out in the long run, beyond learning the strengths and weaknesses of her team. It didn't get her energy and it sure as hell didn't get her starseeds.

She'd set out alone that night, leaving her cell phone at home and tucking her communication crystal away so that the only summons she'd have to come to would be that of her General should he require her attention personally. At the moment she was perched atop a fire escape overlooking an alleyway. Nothing interesting, really; a bar nearby had a decent amount of fights break out from time to time and made a decent enough area to get energy from, but...

What she was really hoping for tonight was an Order-aligned character. Senshi, knight, she didn't care. All she wanted to do was fight.

Aue had no interest in being powered up, but he had a job to do for General Labyrinthite (Wolfeite as well) and that required that he not only transform magically into a lemony animu character, but also go do things. It had been quite clear from the very start that if Aue were not useful to the scythe-slinging General and his sharp-toothed subordinate, he'd be destroyed -- or at least hurt in some very unpleasant manners. Maybe fed to one of those dust monster things.

And so he was powered up and wandering around Destiny City, mostly looking for Order auras so that he could 'befriend' them and get something useful to supply to his 'friends' in the Negaverse. Aue generally tried avoiding Chaos signatures, but sometimes they were just right there and he didn't feel like going out of his way, which was the case as he made his roof-hopping way through downtown Destiny City.

He felt the aura before he heard the rowdy bar crowd, but both became stronger as he continued slowly. I could turn tail now, avoid that. Do I really want to try explaining? Or explode another of those stupid dust monsters? They don't die anyway, it's useless... But it was likely too late, 'cause the purity of his aura would have alerted whomever - or whatever - the Chaos aura belonged to that he was close.

Tourmaline had been waiting for at least fifteen minutes for someone to stumble out of the bar-- Either on their own or because someone had shoved them. Nothing. Not even a peep. The music was loud, the voices were loud. They had to be pouring drinks inside...

The Lieutenant perked when the tingle of an Order aura teased along the outside of her senses. She thought it might just be passing, but no... Wait... There it was, coming right her way.

"Yes." She grinned, waiting until the signature paused right beneath her. She inched along the edge of the fire escape before hoisting herself up to vault over the edge, landing just shy of being on top of the white and yellow senshi. The Lieutenant made up for not landing on him by giving him a harsh shove.

"Wrong part of town for a ball of brightness like you."

That aura he'd been worrying about? It was right over his ******** head - and then it was in-front of him and he was face to face with a woman in black and pink. And officer. Just my luck--

She shoved him and Aue skidded and stumbled a step or two back -- she'd gotten him right in the chest, pushing him off his center of balance. "Is this necessary, I work for one of yours." The shove made him grumpy, made him want to shove back, to lash out - but he was trying to not, since this was an officer and supposedly a subordinate of his General's...in theory.

"Completely necessary." She flashed the senshi a grim grin, just the slightest bit of worry flashing through her eyes as he straightened back out. ********, he was tall... And larger than she was. Maybe this wasn't the best idea?

******** it. Go big or go home.

"Does it look like I care who you work for right now? And how do I know you're not lying through your teeth just to keep me from kicking your a**?" She was going to have to do a lot better than just trash talk if she was going to actually kick his a**.

It was the surety with which the officer spoke that told Aue that he was in for a fight, even if he didn't want one. It didn't matter that he worked for Labyrinthite - or anyone, for that matter - and it certainly didn't seem to matter that he was quite a bit larger than the woman: they were on.

"Who would bother doing something easily confirmed or denied?" But he squared his stance and readied himself for the fight that was to come.

"If you're going to attack, do it. I do not want to waste time." The big brunet didn't wait for Tourmaline to attack, instead he moved onto the offensive, taking a wide swing at her mid-section.

"Honestly telling me you've got something better to do dressed like that?" Tourmaline snorted as she hopped back, narrowly avoiding his swing before ducking in to take a swing back, fingers curled into a fist.

She made contact, but he seemed to be expecting it. Punching his stomach felt like hitting a brick wall and she stumbled back with a slightly startled expression on her face at the stinging shock that continued to travel up her arm even as she shook it off. "Ow! Son of a--"

Tourmaline made a face, glaring at him like he was the one who had intentionally hurt her before ducking down again to charge him.

"How else should I dress, woman?" He snorted and watched her dodge and come into him, fist ready to strike; when the blow struck, he took it with only a grunt and almost - almost - smiled when she seemed to hurt herself instead of him.

"Leave my mother out of it." Tourmaline came right back, Aue waiting until the last minute before just stepping out of her way, hands out to shove at the officer as she lunged, a move he hoped would send her flying.

"Maybe not so brightly for this time of night? You're like a ******** beacon." A neon sign for a lemonade stand on the side of the road or some s**t. Did Order really have to be so damn obvious about things?

His shove had its desired effect, her charge missing only to send her tumbling into a row of plastic rubbish bins lining the alley. She clattered into them, a stray cat yowling before darting off as she picked herself back up off of the ground.

"I've seen senshi that are on our side. They don't look a damn thing like you do, Buttercup."

"I don't pick my costume, you know." A '******** beacon' huh? Yeah, that's about right...

Tourmaline went flying into some rubbish bins, disturbing an alley cat before she righted herself and faced him once more. "The corrupt. Black instead of white, yes? I know of them." Did he feel that he needed to explain to this officer that just because he didn't wear black, didn't mean he wasn't working for the Negaverse? No, no he did not.

But he did feel like causing this obnoxious woman some pain, officer or not. So he pulled deep and brought forth his magic, "Aue Petal Flurry!" His magic spun from hands towards Tourmaline, "Settle down!"

Skye Starrfyre
[Aue] Petal Flurry
Aue summons a flurry of lemon blossoms that burst apart, petals flying at the enemy to cut (a la lots of tiny paper cuts) and then dissolve into lemon juice, which stings like a biatch in the fresh petal-cuts. The burning/stinging effect lasts for 20 seconds and is most effective if it hits the victim's eyes. :>

He only missed her eyes because her arms came up to shield her face from the attack; not knowing what it would do and not trusting anything magical at this point. She'd been hit by Dia's candy nonsense enough times to know better than to run into something like that head on.

The petals danced through the air around her, nicking her wrists and the bits of her hands that were exposed by the cheap gloves as well as slicing through her leggings. At first all it did was piss her off... Then the stinging started, followed by the cursing.

Tourmaline bristled as she staggered back, looking at her hands to try and figure out what he had done to her. The cuts were no bigger than a paper cut might have been, but each one was red and angry, burning while smelling like she had just rubbed some lemon cookie hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works all over her. She shook her hands to try and make the stinging go away, looking more distraught than a paper cut had ever made her feel before.

"a*****e."

Whomever she was, she was damned lucky that her body's automatic reaction was fast enough to spare her eyes from the stinging of the citric acid. Aue cursed in Finnish, squaring up his position while she was surrounded in exploding petals and magic; the sharp, acidic scent of lemon juice stinging in his sinuses even outside the immediate area of effect.

Her growled out 'a*****e' made him smirk; it was an accurate statement and the brunet didn't take offense to it. Being an a*****e was part of his character and Aue accepted it wholly. Reveled in it, really.

"I'm trying really hard to not hurt you here, woman." With a sour expression, he gave her a bit of information, "It will fade. The stinging. Twenty seconds. You're a quarter-way there." Telling Tourmaline this was the lemony-fresh senshi's way of trying to prove - again - that he wasn't really against her and the Negaverse. Whether it worked or not was anyone's guess.

Tourmaline was still scowling at him as the stinging continued. Tears threatened the corner of her eyes, but she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of letting him see them fall. She would never let someone aligned with Order see her cry, even if they were a lemony fresh giant with an attack that sucked.

"We don't get to pick ours either," she muttered in much the same way a child trying not to think about how much something hurt would do. "Our outfits, that is. I definitely wouldn't have picked to have this much leg showing. I ride bikes. Motorcycles... ********' stupid to try and do that in tights."

Was she maybe not going to attack him again? Or was the comment about the amount of leg showing in her officer's uniform just a ruse to get him to look so he'd be unprepared when she whipped out at him again? Aue glanced down, but stayed wary - just because he was a lot bigger than she was, did not mean she couldn't hurt him. Negaverse officers seemed to be stronger than their senshi counterparts - physicality versus magic.

Aue untied his sash, wadded it up, and lobbed it at Tourmaline. "Bikes, huh? I could soup it up for you. I'm an engineer." The sash might help dry her skin of the magical citric acid, maybe help the stinging a little even before it faded. Of course, without rinsing the cuts...the sting might continue, but at least it wouldn't be magically enhanced anymore.

She caught the sash as it was thrown at her, fumbling it for a moment like it might sting just as badly to hold on to it as anything else the senshi had thrown at her. It didn't, though. It was just... Regular fabric. Soft, regular fabric.

Tourmaline bunched the sash in her hands lightly before using it to dab at the scrapes. It did seem to help a little to get some of the lemon juice off of her skin. "Yes, bikes. Street races, mostly. A daredevil act or two-- I like the excitement. Having the extra cash doesn't hurt either. Do you ride or do you just tinker?"
