Patrolling when tired was probably not one of Falias' better ideas, but it was nonetheless what the Knight of Earth was currently doing.
Besides it wasn't as if the tiredness was anything new - he had been tired ever since that night - the night when he had made the decision when he had made the decision, well choice really, to willingly take on a piece of chaos in order to help save the piece of the Code that he and some others had found during their time in Nega-space.
Or perhaps lethargic was a better word for it - a sluggish heaviness that refused to go away no matter how early he went to sleep.
It had slipped into his un-powered time - when he was Marlin - to the point where he had found himself opening bleary green eyes to find that he had fallen asleep in the shop whilst trying to work on accounts with the only saving mercy being that it had happened after he had closed up shop.
In fact the only time when he had been less tired had been after a trip to his Wonder, the trip a random one and one that had been spent in the part where at one point he had brought and attempted to grow pineberries, but it hadn't come back for the lethargy to come creeping back.
Lethargy or not, Falias wasn't about to let it prevent him from patrolling which was why he was (very likely unwisely) out and about and walking the park.
It was perhaps a saving grace that so far the evening had been quiet - well that or perhaps just that there was something out there looking out for idiots.xkuropeco A start <3 lmk if I need to tweak anything and hopefully I should have the other one done and up later today :3

The tiredness was nothing new to Celsus; after all, he'd been battling the weariness, dizziness, and nausea of his condition for quite some time now - but he was under the distinct impression that imbibing a lungful of Chaos had most certainly not helped this fact whatsoever.
The lethargy ate away at him now, thick in his veins, but he forced himself out, told himself that it was a necessity that he get up and move, that he continue on the patrols that he knew were an integral part of his decision. He'd made the choice to keep moving forward.
Now he just needed to actually do it.
It was quiet out, which was pleasant. Celsus had not run into anyone, powered or otherwise, in the past hour, which left him feeling a little less tense about fighting in his state. He sloped through a well trodden path in the park - still his favorite spot - and brushed a stray leaf out of his hair.
A power signature drifted towards him.
It was strong, but not Chaotic; cleaner, brighter, and most certainly Order inclined. Celsus glanced to his right, and then to his left, trying to find the source of it, and saw, just up ahead, a man in shades of green and brown, wings nestled into the light curls of his hair.
He was familiar - and after another second or two, Celsus realized where he had recognized him - the meeting, with the Code.
He came a little closer, stepping out of the trees, a friendly smile on his face as he said lightly, "Good evening. I thought I was the only patrol out today, but I see I was mistaken."

Falias had been nearing the park fountain when he heard a voice speak up from somewhere behind him.
He turned, startled, as his green eyes automatically glanced round in an attempt to identify the source of the voice...
And then relaxed as it belatedly sunk in that whilst the aura that he was picking up on was undeniably strong, it was also one that held the warmth that he had come to associate with Order auras.
He was smiling when he spotted the red haired man approaching him, although it was slightly tinged with embarrassed ruefulness.
"Hi" he said, "Ah sorry about that and yes I thought it would be good to get a bit of patrolling in although it's been pretty quiet so far."
And then because the other looked kind of familiar he asked "By the way where you at the recent Knight meeting by any chance?" Adding in attempt at clarification "The one on the Moon - with the Code."

The sound of water from the fountain was almost soothing; a soft, gentle rippling noise that distilled the night air and gave a bit of depth to it. Celsus's eyes went to it briefly before he returned them to the knight, his expression calm and relaxed.
"Oh, no need to apologize," he said quickly, waving a hand. "I only meant that it's rather nice to meet someone else along the way - someone not Chaos," he added, with a smile, as he drew nearer. The coins on his uniform jangled and clinked as he walked, reminding him, once more, that he was not exactly built for stealth in the slightest.
The smile widened a little as Celsus came to a stop in front of him. "I was, yes," he said, with a nod. "I was there with my brother, Emrys - I remember seeing you, but please forgive me, I don't recall your name. I'm Celsus, of Chronos."

"I thought you looked familiar" Falias said. He hadn't known for sure though because he didn't really know many of his fellow knights.
Although that was something that was admittedly his own fault given that for the longest while Falias had tended to solitude.
The other's smile drew an answering smile of his own, the small smile friendly as he continued "And I'm Falias - Falias of Earth."

He gave a small laugh. "Falias of Earth, a pleasure," said Celsus, extending his hand out to the other, perhaps a little belatedly, but openly friendly nonetheless. "I've met several Earth knights now, and it's always lovely to meet more of them."
Celsus tapped a hand absently against the cast on his wrist and said, "How are you faring since the meeting? Did you take some of the Chaos as well?"

Falias reached out to shake the offered hand "I have to admit that you're the first Chronos Knight that I've come across," he said and a touch of ruefulness had slipped back into his voice. "Although I don't know that many Knights."
Actually it wasn't just Knights because truth be told Falias didn't know that many Senshi either - although again it was something that could probably once again be attributed to the amount of time he had spent in solitude.
Falias was trying though - had been trying ever since the night of his upgrade.
He nodded "Yes I did," he said simply in answer to Celsus' question about whether he had taken on some of the chaos that had been corrupting the Code. "I was there when the Code piece was found. I think it may have been what was left of the Academy." In fact Falias was sure of it - although he had no real proof to say that it really was.
"And I'm okay - still continuing along" because whilst he was trying to be better Knight, Falias wasn't about to admit to the tiredness - to the lethargy.
The dark circles under his eyes probably alluded to it however.

Celsus let out a small laugh that was only partially humorous, managing to keep most of the disappointment out of his voice as he said, "That's not surprising; there aren't many of us anymore, I think. It's a bit disheartening sometimes, but you do what you have to."
His tone shifted briefly to a sad note before Celsus shook it aside, instead returning to the relaxed smile. Brows rose, however, at the mention of the Academy; Celsus had not been part of the initial invasion of Negaspace, though he'd arrived later on.
"The Academy?" he repeated. "The Knight Academy? What makes you think it was there?"
Celsus tapped a finger absently against his chest and said, "Does the Chaos make you feel more tired?"

Falias wasn't sure what to say in response to Celsus' comment about there not being that many Chronos knights, however it didn't look like the other was expecting a return answer - well at least Falias didn't think he was...
And whilst Falias hadn't said anything about the tiredness it seemed that Celsus had guessed it anyway.
He hesitated for a moment, before eventually giving a quiet sigh as he admitted "Perhaps" before continuing "I don't know if it's the actual chaos or not, but yes I have felt a little bit more tired than normal since that night."
A 'bit' was perhaps an understatement to describe the feelings of tiredness.. Of lethargy - but it was about as much admission as Falias was going to make and kind of more than he'd really planned to - because he didn't particularly like talking about weaknesses - well at least not when they were his weaknesses.
Instead he considered Celsus' earlier question about the academy, in part as a way to change to subject and in part because he hadn't yet responded, his voice turning quietly pensive as he admitted "It's not something I can fully explain" he thought about it "More a series of interconnected things - and not just because we found the Code piece in there."
His green eyes looked thoughtful "Although there was other places I could have gone to - there was a something..."
It had been brief - no more than a flash really and yet Falias hadn't been able to get it out of his head. "And there was a symbol of Earth" his hand went absently to one of the symbol that hung from the pouches on his belt. "But it was broken."
He sighed, the sigh slightly rueful as he continued "There's the fact that we also found the Code piece there being guarded by a scorpian youma."
Well at least Falias was assuming that monstrous thing that they had ended up having to fight had been guarding it.

The Chronos knights would always hold a special place in Celsus's heart, and he was fully and completely devoted to Chronos herself; but times had changed significantly since he'd first awakened. He had needed to expand his view, and he had done his best to try and provide for all knights and Order members the best that he could. It didn't always work out that way - his casted wrist was evidence enough of that - but the attempt was there, at least.
A small, rueful smile tugged at the corners of Celsus's lips. "I believe it is the Chaos, though I can't be positive. It was a very brave thing, I think, for people to take it on in the first place. We weren't even sure if it was going to work, but we all tried to be unified the best we could."
He tried not to sound like a political advertisement, wincing a little, though the sentiment was genuine. Celsus listened to what Falias had to say about the Academy in silence, his mind picking apart the thoughts and putting them back together again.
"I rather wish I had been there," he said, after a moment. "I wish I could have seen what it was. It must have been something grand, back in the day."
A flicker of dry amusement tinged his face as Celsus added, "Though I don't wish that I had had to see the youma. That's terrifying, but at least we got the Code out of there. And now, hopefully..."
He took a breath. "Now hopefully it'll be okay."

Falias' lips quirked up in a smile that held a touch of wryness - because he hadn't felt particularly brave at the time.
In fact truth be told he didn't feel particularly brave for having done what he had done either, although he didn't regret having made the choice he did.
"I'm glad that I was able to help in some small way" he thought about it before adding "That all of us were able to help." He continued "And us meeting together like that was nice too" before his voice turned as wry as the brief smile from earlier as he admitted "Especially as it was without all the arguing."
Because whilst it hadn't been completely without disagreements or differences of opinions - the meeting had lacked the downright disintegration of downright chaos and petty arguments that had so characterised the meetings with Caedus.
The smile faded as Celsus mentioned the Academy, as Falias remembered the fight against the scorpian youma followed by the crazy and desperate dash across loosening floor in an attempt to reach the Code piece followed by an escape that was nothing short of miraculous.
Terrifying was a good way to describe it as was crazy.
Although...
Although he rather thought that even if he had had the knowledge of hindsight and of the even more desperate fight that had followed as they tried to escape Nega space that he would still have done the same thing again.
He shook his head slightly ruefully at his thoughts, amusement fading as he nodded at Celsus' comment about the Code as he agreed "I hope so."

"It's rare," admitted Celsus, with a touch of resignation in his voice, "that we as knights all work together in the same mindset. I suppose with so many of us, it's difficult to have everyone see things the same way, but I find it encouraging that most of us were able to set our own views aside in favor of understanding what we needed to do for the well-being of all knights."
A laugh escaped him, more rueful than anything else, a little smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Celsus knew he had not been innocent in the arguments that had come into being during the time they spent with Caedus; he'd perpetuated one or two of them but he had at least tried not to stir up contention.
But Falias...from the few times that Celsus had seen him - and granted it had not been many - he had proved himself to be a reasonable young man. Celsus let his gaze flick across the other's face, his head tilted to the side as he considered the knight.
An idea had started to form, but first -
"Falias," said Celsus thoughtfully. "What's your stance on the Negaverse, if you don't mind me asking?"

If thought reading had been a thing then Falias would have probably been amused at Celsus' - because he had had his moments where he had been anything but reasonable.
Most of it had been tied up in Mistral.
In fact pretty much all of it had been tied up in Mistral..
But whilst Falias doubted that he and Mistral would ever become friends, their last encounter had been civil. Oh it had been strained and it had been incredibly awkward - but it had still been civil.
His green eyes turned thoughtful when Celsus asked him about his stance on the Negaverse, as he shook his head slightly "I don't mind" he said simply. "Although are we talking about the people or the organisation as a whole?"
He continued "Because if we're talking about the people, then I haven't really had that many run ins with Negaverse agents to really answer that..."
His green eyes sharpened "But if we're talking the organisation, then I admit to not liking them."
He thought back to the attack on the Carnival three ears back, followed by the attack on the convention that had happened later on in the same year.
And then Falias thought about the weird power cuts that had happened the following year followed by the kidnappings.
He frowned "I don't know their purpose or why they keep doing the things they do, but I do believe that the organisation as a whole needs to be stopped and I equally have no answers about how to go about doing it."
Falias sighed as he continued "I thought going into the source and dealing with it once and for all was the answer..."
His lips quirked wryly "But I ended up finding what was left of the Academy and the Code instead."
Although he didn't regret the choices that had led him that way.

He tapped a finger against his chin thoughtfully while he listened. Falias' answer was not wholly unexpected, nor surprising; the Negaverse, after all, had done little to provide anyone with a particular sense of well-wishing towards them.
"The organization itself is wrong," agreed Celsus. "Metallia needs to be stopped, as do the ones that follow her without question. But there are a few individuals, I believe, within the Negaverse who are more willing to see reason, more so than others."
He winced a little, remembering the kidnapping, remembering how he had acted towards them. Not all of the agents they had taken had been violent. Not all of the ones that they had kept locked up wished ill upon the White Moon, and vice versa.
Celsus ran a hand through his hair and said curiously, "What about...talking to them? Would you be willing to try and reason with them, rather than resort to violence?"

Falias nodded at Celsus' question "Yes" he said simply. "I would."
Because whilst Falias wasn't prepared to stand still and let himself be a free punching bag, he also wasn't the type to generally initiate fights.
The thoughtful look was still in his green eyes as he admitted "Because whilst I haven't had that many run ins with individual agents, not all my encounters have been bad."
There had been Amethyst who had helped him fight against the psycho leader of the clones and Merlinite his once rival who had admitted to wanting to be a Knight...
And there had been Kairatos who had once been Realgar and had once let an outclassed Senshi and Page go.
He nodded his voice solemn but sincere as he repeated "Yes I would be willing to try talking to the agents."
