 Varsha stretched her limbs as she walked around the pride early in the morning. The sun had only just risen above the horizon. It was a nice, peaceful morning, she thought as she walked around. She grinned to herself. Days like this were perfect days to train. Training was always exciting, even when she was a cub she would nag her mother about training her. Good times, she thought as she continued to look around for Waimarie, hoping that the hyena would give her some tips. She wanted to be useful to the pride and show that she has what it takes to be a great ninja.

 The spunky trainer was indeed offering lessons that morning. Through the pride tended toward operating in the dark of the night, she held sessions that would make it harder. Like when the sun was up and would make it easier for them to be seen. She passed the word along that there would be such a training session the next morning through the pride. Though she tried to encourage anyone to join, it was sometimes hard to get participants. Some adults thought it beneath them to train with anyone young, or with other adults lest they be ridiculed. Waimarie tried to tell everyone that they were equal in her eyes.
She'd set up her course with several "spotters" along it. If a ninja was seen they had to start over. The spotted female looked up as one of the hybrids wandered close. "Morning to you Varsha! What brings you out?" The hybrid was almost perfect for stalking in the dark, she thought approvingly. Even the green on her could help her blend in during the light hours.

Varsha gave a wide grin at Waimarie, happy to see that the hyena was up. “Morning Waimarie,” Varsha replied with a slight bow to her head. “It is such a quiet morning, I felt like I should get some training in while it stayed that way.” She glanced over at the course, seeing what challenge awaited her. “So what is the training going to be today?” She asked curiously. To herself, she wondered if anyone else would join them. She enjoyed extra training, but it wasn't too often she was joined by someone her own age. It didn't matter either way though. If she was by herself, she could remain completely focused, but it someone were to join them, she could show off her skills. “I am ready for any challenge you throw at me!” She said, pumping herself up.

"For today we are focusing on staying hidden under adverse conditions! The sun is coming up which will make spotting you easier. Several "spotters" or "watchers" have been placed throughout the track. Your job is to reach the end without being spotted of course. If you are you have to start over." She looked at Varsha to see if she understood her mission. "Any questions?"

“They don't know what they are missing out on,” Varsha responded with a grin. She would improve her skills while the others rested and napped. Being able to adapt to any situation was important for them. Not every mission was done in the safety of night. Keeping hidden sounds like her kind of challenge. She knew that she would kill it. “Sounds simple enough,” Varsha said as she stepped forward. She eyed the course, making plans on how to approach it, looking for an ideal hiding spot. With confidence, she walked over to the start of the course and prepared herself. “3, 2, 1 go,” she counted down to herself before jetting forward and took cover in a nearby bush. When she felt the coast was clear, she rushed toward her next spot, staying close to the ground. She did her best to keep her movement smooth in hopes of drawing less attention. When she reached her next spot, she glanced back at Waimarie to see if she could get any idea of how well she was doing. magnadearel Varsha completely failed that roll xD

"It'll come back to bite them I'm sure!" Nothing like having teeth snapping at your rear to make you regret. Waimarie was here to hopefully ensure it was their teeth that were going to be doing the snapping. They were a small group still, but they were going to hold what was theirs!
"Right! Let's see how you do." Waimarie gave the signal for the watchers to assume their posts and start watching. Amusingly, Varsha didn't feel the need to wait for her to do the countdown. She really was eager to go! The hyena watched as Varsha spurted out. It had looked like a good start. Except when the hybrid paused to look back at her, she heard the signal that meant Varsha had been spotted.
"Girl! Get back here! What do you think you're doing looking back at me like that? Your target's in front of you!" The hybrid couldn't let herself become distracted during a mission! She waited for Varsha to take her place again. "Start!"

Varsha felt the pain of defeat. Her ears fell back as she made her way to the starting point. She barely got anywhere before she had gotten seen! “Okay, I'll do better this time. I promise.” She said, not wanting to fail so badly again. This time, she would stay focus and complete the course the best she could. She took a deep breath in, calming all her nerves. When Waimarie said 'start' Varsha darted to the nearest hiding spot. She pretended that this was a true mission, that she wasn't being graded. Her one and only goal was to finish and not be spotted. Moving from hiding spot to hiding spot, she remained close to the ground, going much slower then she had her previous attempt. Her movements were as silent as she could make it. So far she felt confident about her run. She listened for any sign that she had been seen. From what she could tell, she had not. When she saw that she was near the end of the course, she could felt a rush of joy. Despite this, she remained focus and was even more cautious, not wanting to screw up when she was so close to the end. She was careful to keep her movements steady as she hid within the grass and greenery. The moment she reached the end she wanted to jump up in excitement. Instead, she hurried back to Waimarie to see how she did.

Fairy Snails Haha sorry I moved Wai to the end of the course. XD
The hyena nodded pleased she didn't get confident at the end sensing an easy win. She gave a grin as the hybrid bounded up to her. "Great job that time! Very smooth and focused. We'll make a ninja out of you yet."
