Since the whole ordeal that had been Ashdown's otherside, Brie had spent some time contemplating her life choices. She had been dragged into a...other place, where it rained (god her worst fear) and met a talking deer thing that like..and she remembered Tory and Rabbit and some of the people but hadn't actively seeked them out in the real ashdown. She was terrified that meeting them would make the whole event...real.
Instead, she threw herself into projects and to her mother's horror, finding a job that would help pay the bills. Her etsy shop was hitting a slow lull and she needed money to make things to make more money.
Luckily, a shop had been hiring near by and she snagged a store clerk. Even more lucky, Cid the owner, had been so welcoming and had offered her own small space to sell some of her home made items.
"Cid!" Brie sing songed, because it was a bright sunny day outside and she had a good amount of stuff to fill her space and well...she actually liked her job, though she wouldn't let Cid know that for sure.
Sometimes the man was uh...a bit...eccentric.
"I'm going to start organizing marvel side today, if you don't mind." Her gaze tried to find the man among the shop because...because he was too good. He blended in WAY to well for his surroundings.

Today. Today Cid was Star-Lord. Or at least he was the movie version, not the comic book version, which explained the walkman on his hip as he danced around the miniatures display. "I am your alpha and omega ~" he sang, quite well, to the tune of Closer. Mostly because he was a deity to these tiny little people which was why he was arranging a new display of them. Sometimes He was a little messed but gave no ******** and it was only when he heard something about Marvel that he tugged his headphones off of his head and looked towards the door. "BRIE. BRIE. HI," he said with a grin and a wave. "Totally fine with me. Show that section who the boss is. For the boss of it, today, is you."

Brie knew Star-Lord, perhaps because of Chris Pratt and who didn't love Chris Pratt and how handsome was he? Cid was okay though, so Brie gave him like a 6 on the hottness scale. A 6 was pretty generous though as he popped up.
"Hello Cid, I thought you heard me. Oh you did that's good." She frowned at him, "I feel like that was some yoga motivation poster." She dropped some items on her table and cleaned it up and then moved to the marvel side.
"Why Star-Lord today?" She looked over her shoulder, "I thought you'd be back it with the claws of wolverine? He was popular."

"Maaaaaaaaaybe," Cid grinned. Brie was so tsundere, a little dere-dere adorable bundle of fun. He adored her. "I just repurposed it. I should put it on a shirt and sell it. Ohhh, that reminds me I need to make more #fogpocalypse2016 slash IT WALKS shirts. They sold out, who knew they would!" Always talking a mile a minute but with that interview that Autumn Smith had given, the shirts had become popular. He would give that girl so many things when he met her. Cid's nose was wrinkling up a bit before he just stuck his tongue out at her. "Wolverine was last year, this year it's Star-Lord." Then a snicker. "That and I don't want to scare people off with the claws again." ... or deal with another police visit. Ugh. Not that they were real metal but jeebus people got all uppity sometimes. Especially when it was one of the not-so-local people.

She could feel his adoration from here, and had to resist the urge to use the shelves to hide from those eyes. She didn't know why Cid liked her so much but goodness she was not special. "Mmm, we can place a order and have some preorders started for the shirts if you want, I can budget that with the new shipment from DC comics. Were you still thinking of placing a manga corner as well?"
She tried to keep up with his talking and ended up taking a moment to focus on her task.
"Wolverine was last week...." She thought. Wasn't it last week? She thought it was last week. "Well Star-Lord looks fantastic. I tried to pick out a outfit for you but I have extra material, so do you have anything you want to do for next month?"

"Mm, I've got a list started of people who want one. I'm just running low on shirts so I'll need to get more ordered." Cid totally have the things to make up and print his own shirts in the basement of the shop. Then again there was little that was not in the basement of his shop. "So, yeah, may want to move things around to get more shirts in with the DC shipment." The walkman was clicked off, Cid pressing his lips together in thought. "I think it's gonna have to be more than a corner and probably include manhwa because those are picking up in popularity lately." Never mind having to explain that yes manga was right to left but not manhwa and he was not going to have that conversation again today. Just no. Instead he got a shifty-eyed look about Wolverine being last week. "Not given it any thought," he admitted. "I've got enough costumes at home that I could just wear different ones in order and probably be fine but ..." He liked new things, so many new things. Especially now that Brie was working for the shop and liked to make things. In fact her little section had brought in an entirely new crowd for business. "Thanks," he grinned, at the compliment. Cid was preening obviously before he stopped and looked at her seriously. "You know Ashdown Fashion Week is coming up and I always have a booth there. Did you think about putting some stuff together for that?"

"I can pick up some to at least cover some orders, I might have some plain t-shirts lying around as well to test out some more prints on as well. If we expand some designs, you might garner more attention-" She stopped talking and then started organizing, "S...sorry, I get carried away."
She frowned, "I don't know what Manwha is, but I can try to move some stuff around or whatever." She frowned, "So many different comics, How do you even keep track?"
To his question, she froze.
"No, I didn't even think about it. I'm not good enough for that."
