Got an amazing civilian? Want free art? Want to see that character of yours come to life? You want all of these things? This place is your jam and we want to see that character of yours rock out.
Sing it loud, sing it proud, and sell us on your civilian and you may just find yourself with art of them! These are ARTIST’S CHOICE, so refrain from getting too steeped in the little details of your lovely civilians. The contest "We Love Our Civs" is for existing civilian characters. Our intention with this contest was that it would be open to characters created prior to the contest start date of April 14th. Since civilians don't have to have journals to be played, we will accept entries for characters with either quest threads, journals, or at least 1 RP started on or before April 14th - however, characters created after the start of the contest are unfortunately ineligible. We apologize for any confusion caused!

bring my civilian to life! username: Daekie character name: Ashton Jack CarverLIFE IN THE FAST LANE Ashton doesn't expect to make it to 30. It's simple math, it's simple realism: she's an attempted hedonist trying to stave off the impending collapse of the cliff beneath his feet, and that only gets a person so far. When she's not pulling feverish all-nighters, Ashton's spending time at salon or working on his internship at a local hospital -- but look. If you hate yourself so much you spend your free time thinking about how great death would be...what happens when you're not busy all the time? DESCRIPTION Ashton is white as the driven snow. Blonde, hair length dubious but ?? like ?? idk just at least armpit-length??, green eyes, more of a gross poison green (but still within the realm of Natural Eye Color). Ambigously gendered. Their PB's always been Stav Strashko. smile here, have some polyvores?? (these are not acceptably hipster tho. needs to be More Hipster) essentially: Ashton dresses pretty to distract from the fact he is like 5000% dead inside. bring my civilian to life! username: nesshime Character name: Melina Donayri VOLUMINOUS HANDYWOMAN Melina is a woman who likes working with her hands. Since the beginning of time she's liked working with her hands, or so her mother likes to roll her eyes about. Currently she's an undergraduate student at the local university but she's set on being a doctor. She's not sure what kind but she's experimenting. Right now she's using her hands at the local bar learning to balance plates, trays, and drinks. Med school isn't cheap and it was more-or-less something she fell into. Why voluminous? Well, she's not exactly quiet, for one thing. There's just a whole lot of Lina to go around. A lot of hair (so much hair), a lot of voice, a lot of opinions, a lot of heart, a lot of booty. Indoor voice is something that she has been working on since she was three years old and it hasn't honestly improved much since then. DESCRIPTION Meli's a good looking girl, or so she tells herself, loudly and with great vigor. She's twenty. Everyone is good-looking at twenty! Her heritage is mainly Cantonese mixed with Gujarati, a first-generation American who isn't as in touch with her heritage as she might otherwise like. She likes collecting jewelry but never seems to wear much of it save for a few necklaces now and then but boy does she adore hair adornments! Bows, headbands, clips, she has them all. Her hair is long, thick, and a rich brown color that is reminiscent of damp soil. She has an athletic build (from all the tennis) but is still unfortunately just a little curvier than she'd like. Thunder thighs are, apparently, genetic. Energetic, effervescent, and just a little too loud. Melina Donayri.

bring my civilian to life! username: Chrystali character name: Lucas ReisHALF-HEARTED HERO Honorably discharged ex-Army ordnance officer who lost two of his limbs due to an accident that had nothing to do with the war he'd enlisted into, Lucas is typically viewed as having a cheery disposition and widely naive optimism despite his experiences. He turned his unfortunate circumstance of being a leg and arm out of functionality into a career to change the face of prosthetics, dedicating his time and knowledge of engineering into designing functional and attractive artificial limbs. He moved to Ashdown when his company decided to open a new office, choosing to commute rather than live in the chaos of the big city. DESCRIPTION 31, debatable 6', Brazilian (dark skinned), collar bone length coal hair typically in a half-tail or ponytail, square jaw with well trimmed facial hair, million dollar smile, kind pale eyes. Casual attire. Wears a realistic left leg prosthetic but an untreated right arm one ( example, example) which you can totally cover up if you want. Optional:

bring my civilian to life!username: lizbot character name: America JonesFreewheeling Daughter A confident redhead with a friendly drawl and an excess of energy, her vibrant independence making her name nigh on prophetic. Currently on the Great American Road Trip(tm) she's been running free and a little bit wild for nearly a year now, as both her Instagram and Tindr will attest. She's recently blown into town with a battered old pick up and trim little camper, trying to connect with the past of the mother she never knew. DESCRIPTION She's a pale redhead, tall and on the boobsy side. She freckles up with sun and has swampy hazel eyes, more brown than green. Her hair's fairly long, with loose natural curl, often worn in a braid to the side or in a crown, and her bangs usually do that swoosh thing. Like swoosh. She wears a bit too much eye makeup and has a preference for red lipstick if she's getting gussied up. Her general style could be summed as sporty hipster redneck. Optional:

bring my civilian to life! username: Mriae character name: Anastacia "Nebula" Miller MODERN-DAY FLOWERCHILD Nebula, or Neb, as she likes to be called, is basically a hippie in the modern-era. She’s all about being peaceful and laid back and non-confrontational. She is also about promoting a healthy lifestyle for herself. As a result, she is a vegetarian (kudos to you vegans; she loves dairy too much), and is big into yoga and holistic ways to heal the body. All this negativity and stress just bums her out, man. It’s bad for her chakras, and she just wants to be her most authentic self. DESCRIPTION Nebula is a marshmallow girl with pale skin (seriously, girl -- get some sun) and hazel eyes. She wears glasses when not doing yoga, as she has trouble seeing far away. Her parents also insist on calling her by her real name, Anastacia, which she loathes to no end. In terms of her clothing style, Nebula prefers flowing clothes in neutral colors and tones. Think mori-girl in terms of her clothing style. Optional:

bring my civilian to life! username: Magician Arcana character name: Rosie VasquezOPTIMISTIC BAKERY OWNER Rosie owns a bakery downtown, her apartment overhead, and is known for Pan Leche and delectable German Chocolate cake. The bakery, Dulce Beso, is a welcoming environment for all ages. Friday nights is open mic, and Saturday is reserved for games. Kids often come in and out, buying cheap quarter candies to nom on while dong their homework. Rosie is known as the lady who always is working and smiling, never complaining much about anything, other than the dang weather. Even then, it's mostly playful banter. DESCRIPTION Rosie is Mexican, with a dark complexion, luscious black hair, and honey-brown eyes. She's wide hipped and chubby, but muscled - gotta be if you're dealing with heavy stuff all day. She fusions comfort and fashion together, aiming for something that will look nice and give a good impression, but not make her want to rip her clothes off hulk style by the end of the day. Optional:

bring my civilian to life! username: Bittiface character name: Kitty Peterson JOURNAL HEREHIGH CONCEPT TITLE A Princess obsessed basement dweller with a passion for frills, video games, anime and chicken plush toys. She's bitchy, snide and has no patience for the well being of others. This selfish Princess wants all the luxuries life has to offer, with nothing more than her father's reluctant wallet and her own part time job to cover the costs. She prefers to spend her days in her bedroom for days on end, playing games or trying on her abundant Lolita wardrobe. Days off are often spent in her Kigurumi pjs, while high school days are in full Lolita dress and hair styles. She hates going out, hates people, and loves herself. DESCRIPTION Pink hair, very long with short bangs. Fair skin that never sees day light. Pale green eyes, small petite body, and no boobs to speak of.
