Hobbies:

Drinking: Lucas drinks a lot, way more than is probably healthy. But after a day of work, you can find him in whatever bar or club he happens to be closest to. It has become a consistent hobby for him. He does not like to drink alone - mainly because he drinks WAY too much if he does, but in a social setting he is a bit better at judging when he’s near his limit and he can always bank on the bartender to cut him off if he gets too far in.

Flirting: Lucas has turned flirtation into a sport. For him, there is nothing more entertaining than getting two or three drinks in, then picking a random person in the vicinity to flirt with. It doesn’t even have to go anywhere - he just finds it fun and a challenge to see how well he can maintain a flirtatious conversation. He prides himself on being able to lace his sentences with innuendo - trying to keep the ball rolling so to speak.

Boxing: Lucas was part of a boxing club in high school, and he did pretty well. In prison, he was able to use it as a means of therapy and exercise. He tried to start up a small boxing program but after a few fights broke out he let it die just to stay out of trouble. Now that he is out of prison he wants to get back into the ring again - but he’s in his mid twenties and with the record, not a lot of managers want to take the risk.

Virtues:

Loyal to the Core: Once you have earned Lucas’ friendship, Lucas will not give up on you. He will stand by and support friends and family with everything that he has, not that he has much. He is that friend you go to to help you hide a body because he won’t ask questions he’ll just do it. He is the friend you ask to help you move that hide-a-bed couch out of your second floor apartment because he doesn’t b***h about it, he just does it. Friends and family are special and important and they need you to have their back - that is his thought on the matter.

Patient: Lucas has learned or perhaps developed patience that borders on saintly. If you’re running late he will hang around until you either tell him you’re not coming - or you show up. That’s not to say he doesn’t have a limit - if it’s obvious after a time people aren’t going to show he’ll try and contact them - and if he gets no reply he will leave and go do things he needs to do. He won’t forget about it either - you can be sure of that.

Worldly: Lucas has lots of life experience and isn’t afraid to impart it to others. Granted most of that experience is negative and most of his advice is “don’t do this thing” but he still has been around the block a few times and is loath to make the same mistake twice. He’s more than happy to help people avoid those same pitfalls as well, if they’re willing to listen and take his advice, which he is more than happy to give. He tries to avoid sounding preaching about things, but he doesn’t always succeed.

Flaws:

Self Loathing: Lucas is the king of self-deprecation. He blames himself for pretty much everything that is wrong in his life, and holds a lot of guilt and remorse for events that technically were not his fault. This has led him to have a very large chip on his shoulder in regards to himself. Failures are just further proof that he is a trash tier human being and that everyone is right - he’s the reason for all the world’s ills. This can often lead to a spiral of self-destructive behavior, but he’s currently seeking therapy for the worst of his problems.

Can’t Commit: Lucas is deathly afraid of commitment. Partly because he feels like he is toxic to those he is around, but mostly because it seems like anything he loves is destroyed by his touch. He tends to keep people at arm's length, and lay out ground rules before going too far along in anything that looks like it’s going to be a relationship beyond friendship. He’s more afraid he’s going to hurt people than be hurt himself, and it keeps him from settling down at all.

Never Forget: Lucas cannot forget things, or rather, chooses not to forget things. He often spends long hours, staring up at his ceiling in bed, remembering all the terrible things he has done in his life. To a degree, this results in him attempting to banish the memories by drinking them away - but it rarely ever helps. Lucas continues to add to his list of faults and slights in his mind every day, leading to a very long list of things that he refuses to let go.
