 Kama was relaxing in the post staging area of the latest photo shoot he'd been asked to model at. It'd been a long, but good day, and he'd enjoyed himself, as he always did. Now he was just waiting on the transportation the Agency had promised to arrange for to arrive, so he could head back to town.
He glanced over at where the photographer was packing up their equipment. He didn't know this one at all, which intrigued him. Were they new to the business, or was it just the rare situation of some one he hadn't met yet? He was guessing the later, because he was pretty sure he knew most of the photogs that the various Houses used these days... But he could be wrong. He thought about it for a long minute, then pulled his tall body off the chair he'd been in, and decided to go and introduce himself to the other person.
He padded over, making sure not to move too quietly... He'd never startle a photog who was holding their equipment! That would be... a terrible thing to do to them, and he'd feel horrible. He stopped at what he hoped was a comfortable distance from the other. He wasn't exactly sure if he succeeded... One of the things about being a model, he'd found, was his sense of personal space was a bit messed up. He had to be able to deal with people in his face to do make up, handling his hair, even stitching things he was wearing so that the line of the cloth sat more accurately on him, so he just... didn't have a problem with it anymore. He hoped he wasn't too close for comfort, as he spoke up. "Hey there... Wanted to introduce myself, since we haven't worked together before today! I'm Kama Prem." He gave the other person a winning smile.

 Briena was still anxious about the whole shoot, even though it was technically over. She was still unsure why they had asked a self taught Photographer to shoot something that'd be featured in official magazines and advertisements. It wasn't to say that she didn't think she was good, she knew she was, but most places wanted degrees or other schooling. She had decided to let herself learn on the job, and she had worked with professionals before, but it was usually for candids or still life shots. A couple had even given her compliments and a couple of pointers, but when she got the call to do a shoot for an actual model, she couldn't help but find anxieties that she never knew she had. She had only hoped she did the model justice.
The Agency that hired her had were even allowing her to use their computers and software to digitally enhance the shots. Not that she thought that the model really needed it, but filters could add a whole new dimension to photos and could polish a couple of the shots that she thought she completely fudged up. That would be tomorrow though, for now the shoot was over and having hours and hours of standing, kneeling and doing other strange poses had taken a toll on her knees. She was looking forward to going home and soaking in a long hot bath. She wasn't as young as she used to be, unfortunately, and it was beginning to show.
She was packing up her lenses before disassembling her camera when she noticed the model walk toward her. She couldn't help but swallow, did he like her work? She was always nervous around people she didn't know, but was even more so around people who she viewed knowing more about her line of work than she did. When he introduced himself, she pulled herself to her full height, which also wasn't short, and gave him a small smile. "It's a nice to meet you, I'm Briena. I hope I didn't cause you too much trouble during the shoot." She gave a light chuckle, joking at her own expense.

"Trouble? I can't say that you did, Ms. Briena. You certainly weren't one of the more demanding photogs I've dealt with in my time." He flicked a lock from his bangs off of his eyes, and shrugged. "I mean, some of them want models who can pose in ways you'd expect an acrobat to do. You seemed to appreciate the beauty of elegant simplicity for poses... Nothing too extreme, certainly nothing that left me feeling like I need to spend the next three days in my hot tub just to make my back stop hurting!"
He chuckled a little, at that. "Not that a visit to the hot tub wont be welcome... Even simple poses can hurt to maintain for long enough to get good shots, but then... You're the photog, you had to stand through almost all of it, except for the breaks!" He paused, then his brow furrowed at that. "Are you alright, on that note? Do you want a hand? I know standing for hours is VERY hard." He paused, and added "Or if you're not busy, I often invite people from a shoot back to mine to relax, use the tub..." He paused again, and then the impression of a blush appeared under his black tones. "Which is not to say I am suggesting anything inappropriate... Several of the other models and staff will be there!" He bit his lip, and had the grace to look embarrassed. "Lords and Ladies, I probably sound like a total creeper here. I'm not trying to hit on you, I'm just trying to be friendly..." He looked pitifully at her, knowing he's probably made her think he's a total a**.

She couldn't help but chuckle softly at his words as she gently put her camera in it's bag. She wanted to make sure nothing got damaged before she engaged in a full conversation. Her cameras were her life and if something managed to happen to them she'd be without her life's work until she could replace them. She hoped he didn't see her as being rude for doing so. "Well, I tend to prefer natural shots than making the model hold strange poses. I can definitely see where it has it's advantages though, but I think simple is much more elegant most of the time." She had managed to play the light to her advantage more than once, it was one of her biggest talents when behind a camera. To be honest, she usually tried to demand more of her own body than of the models she worked with, but that might also be because she wasn't used to working with high end models who knew exactly what they were doing.
"A hot tub does sound nice." She managed to say before she heard the rest of his statement. When he had invited her to his place, she blinked slightly, unsure of what exactly to say. She was sure the uncertainty was written plainly on her face, so she tried quickly to busy herself with more packing. "I'm a little tired, to be honest, but I'll be alright, it isn't any worse than other things I've put my body through. You should see some of the stills I've done.. talk about putting your body in some really strange positions!" She tried to cut the tension with a lighthearted chuckle.
Straightening, she looked around at some of the other employees who seemed to be doing their own choirs of packing and getting things ready to leave. She didn't want to be totally rude, but she didn't like the idea of being alone with someone she didn't know, either. She chewed nervously on her lower lip, hoping the next question didn't sound completely inappropriate, "May I ask how many other people are going? I don't mean to be presumptuous, it's just that sometimes you have to be careful, you know? Not saying that you're proposing anything inappropriate, or being creepy, though either." She wasn't entirely sure how careful he really had to be, given how he probably had his own body guards in case something got too hairy for him, but all the same she liked to be careful. The thought of a hot tub did sound wonderful though, and if there were enough people there she just might have to risk it, but she certainly wouldn't be stupid.

He was lounging, while standing upright, in a way that seemed like he SHOULD have a wall to be leaning against as he watched her put her cameras away. He was pretty clearly not bothered by it, but then he was familiar with how important a camera was to a photog... One of them being damaged would be like some one trying to carve letters into his face... It could destroy their careers. "Simple often is more elegant. Personally, when I look at the results of a shoot full of strange poses, I feel the poses take away from it... If only on the level of not making the clothing the star, which they should be. Add to that, I find myself thinking 'Oh wow those clothes look EVER so uncomfortable' rather then what I suspect they were trying for, which is 'See how these clothes move with you, and still make you look sexy.' but that's me." He shrugged and stretched out his shoulders. "But whatever floats the boats of those who are in charge, I suppose."
At her words, he ran his fingers through his hair, flushing. Oh how wonderful... He'd managed to sound like a TOTAL creeper here. How to fix this... AH. "Well it depends time to time... Everyone who I deal with regularly and who HASN'T earned my 'GTFO' reaction knows they have a standing invitation to my house for post shoot relaxation. There's only a few ways to earn that, but the biggest one IS inappropriate behavior, as my twin brother, who's a bit less... Relaxed... then I, and my adopted son live with me. My son might well come out to visit. But as for how many others... I suspect at least the two ladies who modeled with me, and one of the other male models... Joffries is on the GTFO list, as he tried to come on to me, in front of my son, previously. I was so very angry over that one."
He sighs softly. "I don't mind having relations with other folk in the industry, but there's a time and place for that, and the moment my son is around, that is neither. Anyways, so things should be low key... Fun but friendly." He tilted his head, giving her a chance to think.

Briena couldn't help but giggle a little at his words with a slight nod. "I see where you're coming from. Maybe that's why they hired me? I found it a bit strange that they'd want a nobody snapping shots for their spread, but I guess if I see it from your point of view maybe that's a reason, though I'm not sure I'll ever know completely." She was still a bit nervous that she had done very well, this job was worth 3x more than what she usually made on a job, and it would definitely help her pay her rent for 6 months with no worries. That would be a huge load off her back. Though she had been used to sleeping on an outside bench or out of her carriage more than a couple times, but things were different now.
"You have a son?" There was a hint of surprise in her voice, but also a tone of relaxation. "I have a son too. His name is Malloe." Her son was definitely the reason things had changed and the reason she had taken this job, when she usually wouldn't have due to her believing she didn't have the talent, but when someone else was relying on you, you took more risks. Though he did spend most of his time at the Academy, her tiny dingy little apartment was no place to raise a child, that didn't mean that she didn't hope that someday she could afford somewhere better where he could stay with her full time.
In some ways his explanation was a little bit too much information, but in others she was actually thankful he was that open. It definitely made her relax a little, but she would still be careful, if there was anything her family taught her it was that. "Alright, I'll go. If you don't mind me going back to my place first to shower and get my equipment home. Thank you for the offer." She added a smile to the end of the conversation, trying to lighten up the mood, even if only slightly.Lady Aria Starstone Sorry this took so long...
