Sanidine's personal youma was usually incredibly easy to control; Evan was docile and mostly seemed afraid of running around alone—which worked very well for Sanidine, who was afraid that Evan was going to get himself hurt—or worse, permanently destroyed.
Except, they were both still getting used to this new arrangement, and Sanidine had made the mistake of teleporting without having his hand on Evan—and wound up a good few blocks away. Without the energy, and disoriented from the teleportation, all he could do was try to summon Evan.
…Who must have had some idea where he was, because he'd frantically taken off running right where he'd been left, desperately seeking the energy signature of his bonded officer. Without heed for logic, and with minimal care for his surroundings, Evan charged towards him.
On his own, the youma was barely intimidating. Standing at full height (fluffy mane included), he stood only four feet tall. He had long, pointed ears that seemed permanently folded over his head (but sometimes twitched when he was interested), and a full coat of black fur covering his body. He seemed mostly human, but had large, golden eyes. But none of that really mattered when he was charging at full speed towards someone.
He had talons, and fangs, just like a youma should, but he didn't seem to know how to use them, and as he rounded a corner he pummeled into a page. It wasn't intentional, but there was no way she could know that; he'd headbutted her with immense force and wound up sprawled into her, arms and legs flung in every direction—and the fact that he was scrambling to regain his bearings probably didn't help when it seemed like he was scratching at the air to do so.

Odain hadn't been expecting an encounter with a youma, though she felt one and it was . . . maybe running towards her? She was still learning this tracking thing. Suddenly when started to round a corner there it was. The Page let out a squeak when it headbutted her and started scrambling around.
Perhaps, had this been different circumstances the page might've even called the black hairy fluff ball cute. No instead, now it was fairly terrifying she wasn't sure what was going on. "Ack! Sto- wh- noo. . . " She'd moved her arms to protect her face from his scratching the air. She managed to push the thing off of her with her feet finally getting her own barrings.
She'd seen youma, but never like this. Her arms had been scratched up a little bit and she frowned trying to take a stance to protect herself. "I-I won't go easy on you!" She didn't notice the youma probably didn't give a flying fluff about her.

When the page moved, the youma wound up rolling off of her in a clumsy somersault, and it seemed to need a few seconds to get its bearings in order. Once it was on its feet, it chattered some high pitch, aquatic chirping. It barely cast the Cosmos Page a look before it spun on its heels and started running again.
It hadn't attacked her, but the thing was certainly acting weird—frantic, and jittery.
The youma seemed to have a very specific course in mind; as soon as it was back on its feet it took off running against. Evan didn't have anything on his mind—except making a beeline for her Captain.

Odain looked stunned when the youma took a few more moments to get up and it's bearing. It was sooo odd. . . "Wha---" Then it took off. It didn't really attack her? Maybe it was an accident but it was running?
Why was it in such an all fired hurry? She frowned as she ran after it. "Heyyy . . . slow down you're going to hit something else!" She called after it as she ran, occasionally using things to jump faster after it. She wasn't quite as fast as the youma so she had to use her wits to keep her eyes on it. "You're going to hurt someone!" She called, and then mumbled, " . . . or yourself. . . . or me. . . . or all of us. . . "
Like obviously it understood her right? Right?

The Page chasing him seemed to make the youma all the more frantic; he may have been able to run faster than a normal human while charging on all fours, but she had the magical advantage of being a knight—and very much not a normal human. And he wasn't used to running like this so lost speed rather quickly.
His ears were folded low and after a few block of her chasing him (and gaining on him) he was whining. He jerked around a corner and disappeared from her view for only a few seconds, but the youma's blatant alarm and fear was enough for Sanidine to step into action.
Evan had done a good job tracking Sanidine's energy signature; he'd run straight to it, so when Sanidine saw him burst around the corner with such blatant fear, naturally he'd moved to confront whatever a*****e was chasing his youma.
Sanidine didn't wait to see who it was; he took a few quick steps forward to put himself between them and Evan, and the second the page came running around the corner he delivered a sharp kick to her chest, intent on keeping her as far away from Evan as possible.
Before he'd even seen who he'd kicked, he was demanding, "—The ******** you think you're doing?"

Odain had been blindsided twice that day. This time by a kick square to her chest; there was a startled yelp as she ended up sitting down on her a**.
Looking up at the captain, a little taken back. It'd taken the page a few moments to get her breath back. "I . . . I was trying to see where . . . uh . . . uh . . . " She paused looking at the youma. "Um . . . I don't want to insult the uh, is that you're familiar?"
She brushed off her see through dress though she didn't move just yet. "Anyways He? It's a he right? Ran into me and with being in such an all fire hurry I wanted to see where he was going and make sure no one else was hurt." She looked at the negaverse officer. "You should keep better tabs on your familiar so it's not so frantic and scratches people trying to find you."
She was totally trying to shame him for all this. It could've totally been avoided. "Now then I think I'm owed an apology." She held up her arms where not only road rash was but a couple of scratches from the youma sat. She also provided Sanidine with a pointed look. Oh she was hoping he bought was she was selling; since she wasn't completely sure how this worked . . .

Sanidine watched warily for a moment and then finally seemed to relax. This was a page; she wasn't anything important. And apparently this was just a misunderstanding?
…Sure, whatever.
He wasn't quite sure he believed her, but she wasn't attacking right now and that was good enough for him to relax. Or, at least, enough not to run over and knock the lights out of her, though with that attitude he was thinking he could probably justify it—whether she was a threat or not.
"Yeah. It's a he. And if you don't want to get all scratched up, maybe you oughta get out of his way."
His lips were pressed into a firm line; he was still debating her request for an apology. He took fine tabs on his youma, thank you very much. He wanted to keep Evan safe. He rarely even let him out of his sight. But he didn't argue that, instead, he scoffed and folded his arms over his chest.
"Sorry you ran into my foot."

Odain looked at Sanidine when he spoke. She frowned a little as she stood up brushing off her dress. She stopped as he spoke about getting out the youma's way. "It'd be easier if, like just now. We both weren't rounding corners. It's not like I realized a speeding bullet was headed my way."
She peered around to Evan. As the Captain apologized for her running into his foot. "Yup, I see why you guys are such charmers." She said softly sashaying around him and kneeling close to the youma.
"Are you okay buddy?" She asked softly, offering her hand like one would a dog, of course she didn't turn her back completely on the captain, she kept him in her field of vision. "I'm sorry If I startled you~." She added still looking at Evan.

Sanidine's lip twitched when the girl directed all of her attention his youma, but he didn't miss the faint little tail wag from beneath Evan's thick, fluffy fur. He rolled his eyes dramatically but made no effort to stop Odain's cooing.
Evan still seemed hesitant, but there was a part of him—a small, human part, that felt bad for what he'd done. Not everything made sense, so he wound up with his head cocked, staring at her hand—and then up at her face, and then back to her hand again.
After a moment, he reached out his own hand—a little smaller than hers, with fingers that ended with perfectly pointed talons. He was covered in a soft, fluffy fur. He didn’t seem to know what to do with it; there was a voice in the back of his head that sometimes seem to overwrite his rational thought.
The voice said to attack her. To grow his talons, and slash at her. To hit her.
So he did—sort of.
Confused by the unknown voice in his head and the meek voice of Evan, he smacked his open palm against Odain's.
At least he still remembered how to give a high-five; his little stub of a tail wagged the entire time.

Odain gave a small noise of surprise when Evan gave her a high five. "Ohhh, he's so cute." She said looking back to Sanidine and Evan. The fact the youma's tail was wagging the whole time indicated to her that he wasn't quite a threat.
Obviously, though when she was satisfied that the youma seemed to forgive her. She turned back to Sanidine. "So."
She paused and was looking at the negaverse agent, "Do you want to try and start this meeting over? I mean obviously you don't want to fight me; I don't want to fight you. Right?"
She offered her hand to the officer, "Hi! I'm Odiansaker." She offered waiting to see what the Negaverse Agent would do. At the same time she was also wondering if she could sneak things to the youma, like food. If they even ate food? She looked slightly curious in the youma's direction.
Granted she knew talking to a negaverse agent might not have been the wisest, nor talking to a youma. Still though; the youma couldn't be all that bad.

Sanidine cracked a brow when she said he obviously didn't want to fight her; on one hand, he definitely wouldn't have minded a quick fight. Hitting things always made him feel better, but…
For Evan, he decided maybe he could push the bubbling desire for violence down. For now. He wasn't delighted by any means, so when he stuck out his hand to take hers, he gave it a slightly too-firm shake and didn't drop his scowl. "Sanidine," he introduced. He nodded to Evan, who was still sitting on the ground, tail wagging, and watching the two eagerly. "And that's Evan."
Sanidine was quick to draw his hand away as soon as the shake was done. "Don't youma bother you? I thought all you Senshi and Knight's had sticks up their asses, wantin' to dust them, or whatever. You like youma or something?"

"Nice to meet you!" Odain smiled when the other introduced himself and his youma. Though she paused when he asked the question. Blinking owlishly, "Oh, are we suppose to?"
She gave it a moment before brushing that off, "Oh pbhft, I don't judge books by their covers. Sure you and Evan give off weird vibes of 'be careful', but I mean; he didn't mean to hurt me. So why would I want to dust him? Actually, he seems quiet well mannered when he's not frightened to death."
She moved to offer scratches on the head for Evan if he wanted them, "Some of them are scary and if they intend to hurt me, I mean sure I'd defend myself. If you were attacked by say a tiger, would you not want to defend yourself?" Odain didn't actually seem to want to refer to Evan as a monster, despite the name implying such . . . .
"It's comparatively the same thing, but I've been trying to learn the differences between us and you, and . . . . well I mean no offense but some of your fellow officers are a bit nuts, and seem to be the strike first, ask questions later types." She frowned a little bit, "It's actually quiet difficult to get a handle on sometimes - that this isn't some crazy larping experience, you have to admit, it's pretty high on the fantasy charts, with an extra twist of Alice went down the rabbit hole"
"Plus, I kinda don't think all of us have sticks up our asses; some of us could be jumping to conclusions faster than others and don't allow time to properly figure out the implications and what's actually going on." There was another pause as she thought, "It'd leave quiet a few with the wrong impression. Wouldn't you agree?"
The cosmos knight was still smiling pleasantly as she spoke, making sure to keep a calm manner so as not to give poor Evan another fright. Specially, if she was trying to befriend the youma, how odd would that be?

Evan still seemed tense and uncertain, but he seemed desperate for some affection and the touches were so nice and gentle…
He leaned into them, softly sighing and closing his eyes. Occasionally he would quickly glance at Sanidine, as if checking for approval, but when the Captain made no effort to pull him away, he seemed to relax.
Sanidine though, scoffed. He wasn't the type of person to talk first and strike later; he was the type to talk and strike. In fact, if Evan hadn't had him in the desperate position of accepting help and information from anyone, he probably would have jumped to fight the woman.
"I suppose," he said, but never clarified what exactly he was referring to. Instead, he shifted position and decided that the woman seemed capable enough of thinking for herself. And talking.
Both things he needed and intended to make use of.
"Youma, though," he said slowly, crossing his arms over his chest and taking a slightly more relaxed posture. "…What do you know about them? We get our own information in the Negaverse, but I suppose you might know something else. For example," he shrugged as if nonchalant. "…How to destroy them? Or, I don't know. How to fix them?"

Odain paused as her head rose from giving Evan attention. Though she didn't stop her pets. "Oh?"
There was a pause as she thought, "I'm not sure on how to fix them, I know just attacking them typically turns them to dust, I'm not sure what happens to them then - if they respawn or are gone. But . . . maybe ask a Princess or a Prince? They've been around longer than I have most likely and probably know more about all of this?"
She looked at Evan as she still cooed at him before looking back at Sanidine, "Are you looking to . . . uh . . . 'fix' him?" She didn't want to say Evan's name in that instance, she wasn't sure how much he was actually able to understand.
"Oh . . . I could help maybe? If you want me to?" She was sure she could ask around, see if anyone knew something?

Sanidine pursed his lips and exhaled before shrugging. He didn't want to seem too eager. He didn't want to go anywhere near a Prince or a Princess; something about that just made his skin crawl. "I don't think it's safe to take him around one of those," he said, nodding towards the youma who had inched closer, quietly pleading for more pets.
He didn't seem like he wanted to talk about fixing Evan, but it was clear by the look on his face that he was planning something, that he was going to try.
"...If you're offering to help me research, I'd take you up on that. You have access to people that I can't talk to." He pursed his lips and looked down at Evan. "...He deserves that. Help, I mean. He was never supposed to be a youma."
