Very few survivors rise from the dust of what had appeared to be a series of nuclear and EMP explosions that blew apart the United States in a single day. Three-hundred million people cut down to an unknown number, but well below ten million survivors. No one knows what had happen. No explanation has been left. No clues to why things had become to be what was now. All these people were left out on the gray, littered with the debris of both building structures and the people they once knew or loved. They were left in hopes that the government would send in rescue teams to extract these citizens. They were gravely mistaken. The ones that the citizens of the United States relied on to relieve the people had not come for them after hopeful and eager waiting. Little had they suspect that military factions had turned against each other, and turned against the people they served in the process.

A small group of people of the same residence rise from the aftermath of the explosion. From the same residence, the survivors rose from what used to be their homes. They all gathered around the streets, looking at one another and so very grateful they were not alone. Whether they knew each other or not, they knew that they were in the same situation. A nation-wide crisis in which, like every other U.S citizen, relied on Government help to extract them from the now-barren lands. Living in Virginia, they would have thought help would come so soon after three days, just waiting at their homes and eating whatever wasn't contaminated by the blast.

Later... They'd learn that they had enemies, and had to fight their own people.

The survivors learned that the United States was no longer the sweet land of liberty. There was no such thing as an American Dream, as the survivors learn to pick up weapons that once belonged to people that saved lives, only to turn it against them. The military had gone rogue, and set off to kill any survivors that still roamed the gray. The rogue militants were not the only threat. These survivors become desperate to stay alive with how scarce resource was, which leads to conflicts that may cause them to turn on each other. Most try to keep their heads high and remember that they can still be civilized, with or without the order of an organized system which they all had solely depended on before. Their only way of survival now, is to stay united, or go rogue... Survival of the Fittest.
