Alassiel 1

It was mid-afternoon by the time all the chores had been done around their home and Alassiel had settled in for a bit of reading. Of course, Ziel had other ideas and her daughter began running around trying to climb things and just being an overall little pest.

“Ziel will you settle down!” The Shifter snapped, narrowing her eyes at her daughter just as she’d begun climbing one of the ceiling beams.

“I want to go out!” The little youngling shouted before jumping own and running over to Alassiel who opened her arms to grab her.

“You want to go to the beach and play in the water?” Surely she could relax in the sun peacefully while her daughter spent up her energy.

“Yes!”

And so it was settled. Alassiel prepared a small bag with towels and a few carefully wrapped snacks before heading out to one of Matori’s beaches. The shifter found a spot and settled onto it.

“Off you go now.” Alassiel sat down into the sand and leaned back on her arms to watch Ziel run off into the water.

Dem Post 1

A large yawn came from V'demhe as she was pulled along by the hand by her child. Apparently there was something that Masika wanted to do and it required her mother's attention. She didn't mind so much other than that she was tired from training earlier in the day. Another yawn and this time she covered her mouth with her free hand. "Alright, alright. Masika, slow down." Dem called out.

Her legs were sore from the training and the quick pace her little one was trying to force her into wasn't ideal. There was a moment when she even groaned. "What is it that you want? And where is your sister?" Normally Masika would do this sort of thing with her twin so it made Dem curious about the whole thing.

Ziel 1

“Moooooooom,” Ziel said as she ran around the beach with her hands held out like a bird. The Shifter only waved which only made Ziel want her attention even more. “Mom come play in the water!” The Hybrid went splashing into the water, still running at full speed through the waves.

“You can play by yourself, I’m going to stay dry.”

“Hmph!” Ziel paused her running to get back to the drier part of the beach. She ran, jumping and landing on her knees and squealing in delight as the sand flew up. It was time to build something! The youngling began to gather some sand, keeping a lookout on the waves to make sure they woudn’th bother her building.

“What are we eating tonight?” Ziel called out still gathering her sand.

“I don’t know what would you like?”

“I don’t know,” slight pause. “Where’s dad?”

“Focus on your sand building.”

Ziel knew to recognize when her mother wanted some time for herself and so she stopped bothering her. If only she had a sibling to play with, she wouldn’t need to bother the grownups all the time! She knew that her mother wasn’t ready to have another child yet, but maybe one day she could convince her to have another child to play with.

Masika Post 1

"Hurry Muma!" The little blue girl called as she tugged at her mother's hand. Masika had spotted a neat looking creature in the wet sands and wanted to show V'demhe. Not only because it was cool looking but because she was hoping her mother would know what it was. Masika was in that "what's this" stage and everything was a mystery. Unless it was a bug, then she did her usual crying and running.

Hearing her mother ask about Galene she lifted her little shoulders quickly and dropped them back down. "I dunno. Playing with Tanou?" Truthfully she hadn't seen her sister much during the day. Masika figured she was out doing her own thing. It was a frequent thing since Gale wasn't afraid of anything.

When she neared the spot where she had been before she slowed her pace then looked at the other youngling that was there. Blinking she tilted her head. Masika hadn't seen them there earlier. "Muma.. is that a shifty?" Curiously she turned her head to look up at Dem. The reason she had asked was because the child didn't look like the other shifters she'd seen when they had passed through Jauhar.

Alassiel 2

Alassiel sighed deeply; Ziel was more than aware that Ally wasn’t the one who cooked. Z’ran did while she trained and kept on eye on her snaptrotter. A snaptrotter that was more than likely to show up at some point to laze in the sun with her once it returned from its hunt and noticed no one was home. He had an incredible nose to him and was getting bigger and bigger each day. Alassiel was looking forward to seeing how he turned out once he was fully grown. Something caught her eye and Alassiel turned to notice an Alkidike and her…

Daughter? The other youngling was clearly another Hybrid like Ziel, though her roots looked more like Akidike and Matorian. Interesting, Alassiel glanced at Ziel wondering when she’d take notice of the pair.

Dem Post 2

So her other daughter was playing with the Radaku's again. Made sense. V'demhe sighed and looked at Masika just as she asked about a shifter. "Huh?" It took her a moment to realize that her child meant someone else on the beach. So she looked up and laid her eyes on the youngling playing in the sand. "Mm, I would guess they are shifter and water earthling." The hair color gave it away from this distance.

Almost instantly her eyes scanned the beach for the child's mother and she found Alassiel. Dem watched her for a moment then looked down at Masika. "You can go play with them if you want to, Waterbug." While she didn't know if the other youngling's mother would approve, she didn't see the harm in it. Both children were hybrids.

Ziel 2

Ziel got up and moved around the mount of sand she’d built and she briefly looked up and laid eyes on the tall Alkidike and her daughter. Her eyes grew wide, another Hybrid? She’d met very, very little Hybrids and most of the ones she had met were half Matorian and half Oban. This one though was half Alkidike and she was so pretty and interesting! Like an arrow being shot, Ziel sprung forward with a grin on her face towards the pair, ignoring Alassiel as she called out her name. She was not a shy girl and had no trouble going up to strangers.

“Hiiiiii,” Ziel squealed as she came to a stop in front of the pair. “Do you want to help me build in the sand!” She stared at both of them with a large smile. “If your mom is okay with it.” Her mother had once explained there had been a tension between the Alkidikes and the Shifters, but Ziel rarely paid attention to any history lesson her mother gave her. Maybe one day, but right now it all made no difference to her.

Masika post 2

So the other youngling was part water too? Masika looked back toward them in time to see them running right for her! Eyes widened and she moved back a step to cling tightly to her mother's leg. When Ziel stopped and spoke like a hyper version of her twin Masika hid her face for moment.

It wasn't until she felt the gentle hand of her mother on her head that she looked back at the girl. "Uhm.. okay." Masika looked up at her mother for approval then back at the girl. "What are you building?" It didn't hurt to ask. Masika wasn't good at making things but she could always find pretty shells to decorate it with.

Alassiel 3

Alassiel sighed when she spotted Ziel running off towards the duo. She knew her daughter’s hyperactivity was sometimes, if not always, out of control. So the Shifter pulled herself up, wiping away the sand before heading towards them too. Plus, it wasn’t like she totally trusted the Alkidike woman. If Ziel scared her daughter she might have a few words to say about it.

“Ziel…” Alassiel sighed, putting her hand on her daughters shoulder. “You really should take it easy.” Sighing again she turned to the tall Alkidike. “Sorry, she just seems to have so much energy.” Up close the other little Hybrid was adorable!

“This is Ziel,” Alassiel stared down at her daughter who hadn’t even bothered presenting herself properly. “I’m Alassiel.” It looked like they’d get along so introductions were in order.

Dm post 3

V'demhe watched as the shifter woman made her way over. It wasn't like she blamed her. Though the apology she gave was met with a smile as Dem's eyes dropped down to the little one with a bunch of energy. "It's alright, my other daughter has a lot of energy too." It was a pity that energy kept Galene from sending a lot of time with her mother, though.

When introductions were made after that she chuckled. "I'm V'demhe and this is Masika." Dem tried to pry her child's hands from her leg so that she could be better seen but it seemed that Masika was having none of it. "This one is timid sometimes." Despite it being a flaw of sorts V'demhe looked almost proud of the fact. Nothing her daughters did could be viewed as bad in her eyes. They were perfect. Just as Aisha had made them.

"Masika, did you want to play with Ziel?" Dem motioned toward the other youngling as she waited for her daughter's reply.

Ziel 3
“I’m not sure what I’m building yet!” The question had caught her a little of guard. Ziel never made plans, she just did things and then well whatever happened happened! “We can always build something you like!” It didn’t matter to her either way. If Masika had a better idea then she was all for it, her mother always taught her the importance of sharing and working with others. Well here she was trying. It seemed though like she was a little shy so Ziel stuck out her hand towards her.

“Let’s go play!” As soon as Masika took her hand she’d be dragging her off running towards their sand pit.

Masika Post 3

When the pure shifter came over she seemed to turn a slight purple in the cheeks. Then her mother introduced her to the pair and she gave a muttered hello. When Ziel spoke directly to her she blinked her orange eyes and then looked at her outstretched hand. Even her mother was telling her it was alright. So Masika took the girl's hand and was instantly dragged off! "Ah!"

She didn't try to pull away though so that was a good sign. Once they were at the sand pit she looked at it all. "I don't know how to build anything." Still she toed the sand. "What about a castle?"

Alassiel 4

“Ziel play nice!” Alassiel yelled after the pair as she watched her daughter drag off the other Hybrid towards her sand pile. The Shifter rubbed the back of her head while shaking her head. “Kids, I’m not sure how you survive with two.” She had thought about having another child, but right now she was perfectly happy with just one. Perhaps when Ziel wasn’t such a handful she’d have time for another, but right now her daughter needed all the attention in the world and it was sucking the life out of her. She didn’t know how her sisters could handle more than a single child at a time.

“Would you like to sit with me?” Alassiel pointed to her previous spot by both of their daughters.

Dem Post 4

She watched her daughter be pulled off by the other youngling and laughed. Such energy! In her mind Ziel was almost exactly like Galene. Energy wise, anyways. When she heard the woman say something about two kids she brought her attention back toward her. "It's not as bad as you think. Their father helps." Though she had to admit when she found out she was getting two beautiful girls she was more than a little worried.

V'demhe nodded her head. "Sure." Sitting was ideal since she was so tired. Her body just wanted to flop over and rest for a while. She gave a last look toward the two little ones and grinned. "It's good to see Masika playing with someone other than her sister."
